Clean and easily accessible to the station with the Snowshoe shuttle. Easy check-in and check-out. Go to Zillow to have more pictures of the property to help you with the room capacity.
The house was very clean and the pictures are accurate. It has beautiful views and a shuttle to all parts of Snowshoe resort. However, what is not stated is that the driveway is very steep and can get icy/slippery. Our 4-wheel drive cars got stuck more than once and we had to use the snow shovel and rock salt that we brought ourselves for emergencies to get ourselves out. The stairs from the driveway to the door were steep and had both snow and ice covering them to the point that one adult guest fell and was injured. Communication with the property managers was difficult as there was the property manager in the listing and the âlocal hostâ. Contact information provided for the local host was not accurate and there seemed to be confusion as to who to contact about issues at the property so it took an excessively long time to get emergency issues addressed. Save yourself a headache - bring a shovel, expect to need 4-wheel drive or chains/snow tires during winter months, be prepared to care for snow/ice on the property yourself during your visit, and clarify who to contact in case of emergencies prior to booking and arrival.
I was extremely disappointed in what we got for our money with this house. We we got there the outside steps and walkway were covered in thick ice which caused my wife to fall and hurt herself. The kitchen sink was clogged with some rotten stinky mess and one of the toilets was leaking on the bathroom floor. The property management people were almost impossible to get in touch with. Nobody answers the phone and one of the numbers was disconnected. I finally got in touch with somebody via chat and it sounded like they were in India. It took 2 days for the maintenance people to come fix the problems. Other issues were bedding with food crumbs on them, not enough firewood, the icemaker was broken, and the upstairs bathroom had no blinds so everybody going by on the road can see you in all your glory. The living room TV did not work. The power would not come on. I had to fiddle with the power strip and plug it into a different outlet for it to work. I wanted to watch a game on TV but the ESPN app was not installed. Apparently the owner has a lock code on the Roku so I was unable to install the app. Lastly, I got a splinter in the bottom of my foot from the coffee table leg while I was sitting on the sofa. Don't waste your money on this tired old house that has been neglected for way too long. The furnishings and wall decor are all mismatched thrift store cast-offs. This house is in dire need of a remodel and the maintenance company should be fired.
