BEWARE: Cancelled on me as (well as others) last minute.
Story time! As I arrived in the Vancouver airport I received a message from the host telling me the room wasn't available and they would be canceling (despite me reserving it back in July. They gave me a story about how the previous renter had not vacated the property on time. Which delayed them cleaning the property, which mean they wouldn't be able to rent it to me. But, unlike what happened to others in the reviews, the host offered to put me up in a different two-bedroom property 2 blocks away. I said this would be fine, and got on the train to head to that new address. When I arrived their assistant met me to let me in. When they took me to this other two-bedroom it wasn't what I was hoping for at all. It wasn't renovated and it was an old building, so it was a little run down. All the furniture was a hodgepodge of random stuff. The chairs around the kitchen table were random folding chairs like from a rec center. The bar stools were literally held together with duct tape. There were no TV's in the rooms, just the living room. And that one didn't work at first because the remote had no batteries. The appliances on the kitchen counters were still wrapped in plastic. It was very obvious they threw this place together in a hurry. No internet, and they asked me to be available in the morning for the internet guy to come set it up. So I had to put my vacation on hold. Very disappointed with my experience and hope other renters take head of this and other warnings in reviews.
