Four bedroom luxury duplex chalet style Penthouse Apartment on part 4th & the entire 5th floor of the landmark building 'Lake Placid'.
Central village location: 3 MINUTES WALK TO THE LIFT along the flat across the car park outside the apartment. Two minutes walk bars and restaurants. Supermarket, wine shop, chemist and delicatessen within the same building on the ground floor.
Features include: lift, enviable east/west aspect, 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower over bath, 1 ensuite shower, Three Balconies,
Marble floors, chimney, vast open plan living/dining area; direct access to the 4 Valleys and Verbier ski system. Free parking for 2 cars.
Free ski bus stop just over the road. Heated room in the basement for ski's and boot storage overnight.

This penthouse duplex apartment is probably one of the most luxuriously fitted apartment in the village, befitting it's prime central location - no expense has been spared on the fittings and decor.
With over 300 days of sun per year, the micro-climate of Valais lends itself to outdoor sports; in summer the temperature can reach 30 degrees C, but due to itâs high altitude (1400M) the air remains fresh and comfortable.
Local sports facilities: The Penthouse directly overlooks the sports centre of Nendaz, giving a birds eye view of the year round activities that are open to all: these include:
Football pitches. The Para Gliding landing site. Horse-riding. Childrenâs playground and bike obstacle course. Trampoline. Climbing wall. Ice Rink (winter). Tennis courts (summer).
Winter and summer sports activites: Winter sports: Skiing - Nendaz is in the middle of the vast âFour Valleysâ ski system with over 400kms of marked pistes, including Verbier. The lift with direct access to this range is 3 minutes walk from the apartment.
Summer sports: Walking and hiking â there are over 100kms of marked paths throughout the mountains for walking.
Cycling - Mountain bikes can be taken on the lift free during the summer season between June and September with over 200 kms of marked paths to enjoy.
Swimming â there is an outdoor heated swimming pool 5 minutes walk away where the water is heated to 25 degrees C from June to September â it has a sun-bathing area around it with sweeping mountain views for miles around.
Para gliding â the para gliding school is at the top of the telecabine and the landing site is on the football pitch opposite the apartment.
Golf â Sion Golf Club is half an hours drive away, and the championship course Crans sur Sierre is at Crans Montana 45 minutes.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
I chose this Duplex Penthouse apartment as it occupies the entire top floor (penthouse level 5) and half of the floor below of a substantially built East / West facing building right in the centre of the village, with panoramic views over the Sports centre one way and down the valley towards Sion when looking the other. Apart from the vast open plan lounge and kitchen which is great for a communal meal, or for just sitting in front of the fire in the winer after a hard days skiing, there are also 3 very large balconies that serve the lounge and all four bedrooms, which are so relaxing to be on, particularly in the summer.
I really value space in a holiday home, and the 4 double bedrooms and 2 main bathrooms (+1 ensuite) , enable guests to spread out and have their own space when they need it.
There is a large supermarket on the ground floor of the building, accessed by a lift, meaning that shopping couldn't be easier.
I also like to have bars and restaurants on hand without having to walk anywhere or use the car.

A log fire at night is a luxury and this apartment has a fantastic fireplace in the louge which is a focal point when enjoying your apres-ski drink.
There is a private outdoor car park that up to two cars can use ; three balconies with the main one being west facing which captures the sun all afternoon right up to sun-set.
The central village location is ideal, and a passenger lift just across the car park takes you to the top of the village where the main telecabine is to be found (the Tracouet) linking you to the Four Valleys ski domain.
There is a heated ski / boot room in the basement for added convenience.
The apartment is only a half hour bus ride from Sion train station with links to Sion airport just up the road.
