Property
La Chablisienne, pronounced La-Shab-Lee-Arn is a large 3-bedroom, two-bathroom residence with double lockup garage containing contemporary European decor with an Eastern Twist. The property overlooks MONA – Museum of Old and New Art; Derwent River; and Mount Direction. Mt Wellington can also be viewed from the balcony.

Location
Situated in a modern homes area towards the end of a no through road in the Northern Suburbs of Hobart. Glenorchy and Claremont Shopping hubs are within a four kilometre drive and the property is approximately a twelve kilometre (20 minute) drive via the Brooker Highway to central Hobart. The property is close to Mona Museum; Moorilla Winery; the Granada Tavern; Beer Wines and Spirits (BWS) Bottle Shop; and a Corner Store. The closest Bus Stop is over one kilometre away therefore having your own vehicle is recommended. The Intercity Cycleway is close by (200m approx.) for the cycling enthusiasts.
Living Area
Relax on the Italian leather lounge and enjoy unlimited WIFI and Netflix movies on the 75” Sony Bravia Television. Recently replaced wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner for your heating or cooling needs.
Kitchen
Prepare your coffee using the Citiz Capsule Coffee Machine and side Milk Frother and obtain ice cubes in minutes using the bench top Ice Maker. Full-size stove/oven and microwave to prepare your culinary delights with a variety of kitchenware. Complimentary use of a well stocked pantry and other house hold items for your convenience.
Dining Indoor/Outdoor
Entertain on the leather dining suite with complimentary serviettes and toothpicks or dine outside on the balcony while soaking in the panoramic views after flipping burgers and sizzling sausages on the BBQ.
Bedrooms
Master King Suite
Feel like royalty in the king room with an SL Track Zero Gravity Massage Chair; and the convenience of an adjoining ensuite which includes a spa bath for two. Store you clothes and belongings in the huge walk-in wardrobe and exit onto the balcony to enjoy your own seating area.
Queen Rooms
Two comfortable queen rooms with quality bedding and electric blankets. Built in mirrored wardrobes containing clothes hangers.
Bathroom
Spacious bathroom containing a separate shower; full size bath with bathroom accessories and toiletries.
Laundry
Equipped with a 10kg Bosch washing machine and laundry powder and/or washing detergent; 8kg Samsung heat pump dryer; Clothes airer and Ironing equipment.
Garage/Parking
The convenience of a remote-controlled garage for one large car with internal access to the residence and additional free parking on either side of the garage door.
Security

Security cameras operate externally monitoring the property for insurance reasons.


Booking the property is acknowledgement and acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below.

Checkin is from 2:00pm AEST on the day of arrival.
Cleaning fees are not charged and cleaning equipment and supplies are provided for guest use. The property is expected to be left in similar clean condition as found on checkin otherwise the entire security deposit may be voided.
Checkout is on or before 11:00am AEST. Prior to checkout, please place used towels etc in the laundry; remove all rubbish and place in the applicable bins; turn off (where applicable): lights; heater; air conditioner; fans; and electric blankets.
Smoking is only permitted outside. Detection of smoke and/or evidence of smoking indoors will result in the security deposit being voided.
Only paying guests are permitted on, or in, the property. Violation of this rule may result in the end of your stay with no refund.
Quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 7:00am as the property is located in a residential area.
No food or drink in, or around, the massage chair.
Wash white towels etc separately to coloured items to avoid staining.
Rubbish is collected bi-weekly on Thursday morning. If your stay lands on rubbish collection day(s), please place both bins at the end of the driveway Wednesday evening at least 50cm apart and collect after being emptied.

Excellent comfortable stay
We visited Hobart as we (6 family members) were the cheer squad for our great niece who was representing the Vic U 15 Regional Cricket team. All the ovals were in close proximity. The facilities were excellent with the massage chair, spacious kitchen & utensils plus a few freebie gifts from Sharlene. I wished the massage chair was placed in the living room so it could be accessed always when the bedroom was occupied! I was impressed with the name of a wine La Chablisiene from the region in France for the property

Great place to stay, home was just what we need at the end of the day after visiting all the places Hobart had to offer, uber was only $20 into the city which made it so easy to taste all the delights the winter feast had to offer loved it

Gathering of the Clan
This accommodation was perfect for our needs and circumstance. Spacious living area, abundant cooking and kitchen appliances, barbecue, plenty of seating, views across the river and to the mountain. Garage for parking car. We were very comfortable. The host was attentive, communicative and accommodating. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

A fabulous short break
The accommodation was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. The beautiful view of the river from the balcony was so relaxing. It only took less than 15 mins to walk to MONA.

Absolute perfection!
The attention to detail, care and effort that has gone into this property is just outstanding and we were all blown away constantly as we discovered all the little comforts that Sharlene had considered - from bath toys, a cot and toy blocks for the kids to extra towels and a whole selection of groceries to settle us in - we could not have been more impressed and highly recommend!!

Sensational property, easily the best short stay accommodation I have experienced.
Everything about this accommodation oozes quality and class. The decor has been perfectly coordinated and flows through out the home. Contactless check in/out works simply and was well communicated by the host. The host (Sharlene) is a warm and friendly lady who couldn’t have been more helpful. So many highlights, the massage chair and spa in the main bedroom are just perfect to help unwind at the end of the day. Spacious living room with adjoining dining area and the best equiped kitchen ever. Ample off street parking, including undercover garage with internal access to the house. All in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood (and MONA just a two minute drive away) everything you need to make this your home away from home. My absolute favourite thing, enjoying breakfast on the balcony as the sun slowly rises over the hills across the beautiful Derwent River. Then a quite drink in the shade at the end of the day, enjoying that amazing view. I can’t recommend this accommodation more highly. Thank you Sharlene for a perfect three days, you’ll see me again next time I’m in town.

Absolutely amazing property!!
This property was in immaculate condition. Clean, spacious and felt like home. There were ample beds and the bedding was comfortable warm and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and super clean. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

This is a terrific property for a family or group of friends travelling together. Berridale Visit
The property was excellent, clean, extremely spacious, everything we needed. Communication with owner was amazing, she responded within minutes every time we contact her. Directions were spot on, location to city and the eastern shore(which were the areas we needed close proximity) was great. We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

I have resided in Tasmania almost all of my life. I am from a working class background and grew up on a farm on the North West of Tasmania and from that experience I am not shy of doing hard physical work. The majority of the landscaping at the property was shovelled, wheelbarrowed and spread by me. I live by the belief that you can do and achieve your goals because If there is a will, then there is a way.

I moved to Hobart in1998 initially residing in South Hobart to continue study at the University of Tasmania after working two jobs for a few years after year 12 to save and self fund my graduate and post graduate education, which I completed in 2004.

I was employed by Government for 20 years before becoming self employed in 2021. SRS Rentals was formed in 2023 and I manage La Chablisienne in Berriedale and Oscars Retreat in Kingston, Hobart
