Very Peacefull

It was so nice being in a rural setting with no traffic noise but just a few minutes from town. Everything was as advertised. We likely will be staying here in the future.

Traveled from TX to enjoy Thanksgiving with my adult sons who live in the area! It was such a blessing to enjoy cozy times by the fireplace and even some snow!! thank you for a place to enjoy meaningful times together!

Peaceful Getaway

The home was exactly as described and then some. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay and the hosts were very accommodating when we had a slight hiccup getting the keypad to work upon check in. The house was very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, that water pressure was excellent and the kitchen was well appointed. Highly recommend for everything from a couples getaway to a small family reunion.

Relaxing and functional

We were in the area for a family event. The setting is relaxing. We were able to host a small get together one of the nights where we enjoyed using the grill and the fire ring. Pleasant, clean and a great value.

So pleased!

We were on a girl trip to Kansas City and Hamilton (Missouri Star Quilts). We were so pleased with the house and grounds. It was quiet and beautiful. I grew up in northern Arkansas on a farm and it reminded me so of my childhood. The house was charming and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The history of the house and farm were fascinating. Overall, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Accommodations as advertised

This historic house was just as it was listed. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen was equipped just like home. Other family members were visiting the area and we used this rental as base to reminisce, visit and share meals together. Much better than a hotel. Will recommend this house to friends and family.

Peaceful and Picturesque Stay

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the quaint Stonehaven while visiting family in the area. The hosts are in good communication and have everything you need stocked in the home. The beds are very comfortable and have clean bedding and pillows. The home is in a very peaceful country setting. There is a fireplace and fire pit and they provide firewood. Our only difficulty was the steep steps upstairs and lack of sturdy handrails on the upper half of the stairs. We would definitely stay again, but without older family members due to the steep steps.

Great Accommodations

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay in this historic farmhouse. It was very clean and nicely appointed. The supplies offered were sufficient for our needs abd the host/ owner was very accommodating to our needs. We had a couple questions and he was always available and cheerfully helped us. The house is cozy, with a fireplace in the livingroom, which we needed on the cold mid February weekend of our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the large kitchen table was perfect for our dining and then playing cards in the evening. The quiet location is also very convenient. We would stay again and would recommend to others.

Peace and quiet

Our son passed away this year, unexpectedly. The holidays were tough so we invited friends to stay with us and somewhere that wasn’t home. Such a wonderfully quiet place. Wait until you see Moonpie and Peppermint Patty. What loves!

Sisters Weekend

What a great place!! Rolling hills and scenery right up to the door step! And the house is utterly charming. Has everything you need and then some! It’s easy to imagine if only a little, what it would have been like when it was first built. Thoughtfully decorated and comfy to the max. We will definitely be returning! Perfect for a group!

This adorable home is tucked away off the road with room to walk on the property and on the road. Our group of 6 women spent 5 days here just hanging out and doing nothing. We had space for everyone to be together and not on top of one another. Two bathrooms was fabulous, and the mid-day nappers were happy to retreat to their rooms for quiet while the rest of us were active. The outside fire pit was wonderful in the morning before the heat of the day. Our only issue was although we could get connected to the wireless, the internet never did connect. This may have been a service provider issue? Cell service is also minimal but for those of us who needed to work, we got by sharing one hot spot. But overall, this is our new favorite meet up spot and we will very much be back! Fabulous spot!!!!

Breathe!

What a fun and adorable stay! Seven acres of open space and a wonderful house that has been lovingly kept restored from the 1800’s. (You can almost hear the ‘laugher in the walls…’) Lots of light, wonderful dormer upstairs and picnic table and fire pit. We used it all. It Will be a repeat. And thanks, Larry, for helping us find the instructions to the coffee pot! (In the cupboard by the coffee cups! Who’da thought, right?) Go, slow down, breathe and regroup; you won’t regret it!

Bigger on the inside.

Well-organized and welcoming home. Fully stocked and even has cows to pet. The binder was a great source of information. Very clean. Upstairs beds are comfortable and soft. Downstairs bed a little firmer.

Fantastic Farm House

What a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed every minute of it. We were in awe of the wonderful views. It is peaceful, serene and quite magical. Quite a pleasant change from our busy life in Southern California. We enjoyed our visits with the 2 cows on the property, Moonpie and Peppermint Patty. What a fantastic surprise! The books you left, explaining the property and home, and the amenities were the perfect touch. We will be back and have told others about this wonderful place to stay. WE LOVE STONE HAVEN !!
