Nestled in the heart of Hocking Hills, you will find this breathtaking yurt waiting to offer you a getaway of both relaxation and recreation. You will instantly feel restored with our bright, open floor concept. You will find all you need within this 20 foot yurt, which includes a queen bed, kitchenette, and large bathroom with glass enclosed shower. Enjoy meals in the kitchenette with two cooktops, a microwave, pod coffee maker and even a small refrigerator with a freezer. We have cookware and dishes ready for you! No matter the weather, you will find comfort in our climate controlled environment, as well as a gorgeous electric fireplace to enjoy. Step outside to enjoy a night by the fire pit, love seat outdoor couch and a bistro dining set. Relax in the hot tub as you enjoy the magnificent views of Hocking Hills.
Once you are restored, the pole barn will
also offer you an abundance of activity. We have a pool table, shuffle board, darts, corn hole, yardzee and more!

Perfect, little getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at this yurt! It was incredibly clean and beautifully designed—every little detail was so thoughtful and sweet. One of our favorite touches was the ceiling lights at night, giving the illusion of stargazing right from inside. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing, and the game room added so much fun to our stay. We’d definitely give this place a 10 out of 10 and can’t wait to come back in the future!

Our Weekend Yurt Getaway: A 10/10 Experience

Our recent winter weekend in a cozy yurt was amazing. The staff went above and beyond—checking in often and staying available even at odd hours. It was surprisingly warm inside, making the snowy outside feel extra magical. Plus, being able to order DoorDash right to the yurt was a huge perk!Though the bed was only a full-size, the overall vibe more than made up for it. If you’re craving a unique getaway with a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, this yurt is a must-try!

It was the best little get away.

We loved it so much. Definitely will be going back. It was super peaceful and best little get away with you're love one. Also it was super clean and had directions for everything which was super nice. Probably the best stay we have had in Hocking Hills.

Rejuvenation

My wife and I had an amazing stay here. The yurt was cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was awesome. Decor was wonderful and pleasantly pleasing to the eye. We had a fire in the solo fire pit. Just enjoyed time away from everyone and everything. Hocking Hills is just a few minutes away. The only thing I regret about staying here was not having more time to stay longer. The host are great and respond very quickly. Wife and I had an amazing time and can't wait for another trip. Oh and the game room is nice, pool table darts, table hocky and Foosball. Again I cant say enough nice things about this stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property.

We loved our time in the cardinal yurt! It was very clean, beautiful and all the little details were perfect. I really loved the rock guestbook & the postcard. The guest game area was also so fun, especially being out of town, it gave us something to do together. Truly such a wonderful place & we will definitely be back!

Amazing yurt

The Cardinal is an absolute gem! I have nothing but great things to say about my first experience staying in a yurt. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful retreat, this yurt is for you! The host provided excellent communication and recommendations for nearby hiking trails, restaurants, and local attractions. Thank you again to the host for the best birthday weekend and making me feel so special. I can’t recommend Hillside Retreats enough and I’m looking forward to returning in the fall!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I stayed in The Cardinal yurt and had a wonderful time. The location was remote, but close enough to explore Hocking Hills. The yurt was extremely clean and comfortable. The host had great communication and her attention to detail was second to none. Highly recommend!

Amazing !

My husband and I loved this as our little get away! They are more then welcoming and will tend to any needs! Our propane was out on the grill and they showed up and answered immediately to ensure we had propane! Will be staying again! Wish I could give more then 5 stars!

Will stay again

This property was exactly as described. There were many personal touches that made it cozy and relaxing. You can tell a lot of thought went into each aspect of the Yurt in order to give each guest a wonderful experience. Communication was outstanding from beginning to end. My husband and I will definitely recommend this property to our friends who enjoy exploring Hocking Hills.

We loved the amenities and extra touches of the property. The hot tub was great! We had everything we needed. The Alexa speakers and ambient lighting was a nice touch as well. Everything was nice clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful stay at The Cardinal! The yurt was so cute! It was clean, bright and airy! There were many little touches that made the stay extra special. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good and the hot tub was great! Communication with the host was easy and they texted to check in with me. The only draw back is that the location is a little remote. Very limited phone service. About 25-30 minutes from the state park. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

5 Star Yurt

We absolutely loved the Cardinal Yurt! The small details that made us feel welcome from the bottled water, snacks, and comfortable bed. The hot tub was amazing and the Solo stove was an added bonus that made me a fan. So much attention to detail was made not only in the yurt but also in the game room. Our friends are already trying to find a weekend to book their stay after seeing how amazing our trip was. Thanks again for letting my wife and I stay and experience a relaxing weekend with no worries.

Anniversary getaway

Was a bit worried at first because I did not receive a welcome email but it was straightened out the day of check in after I ask when I would receive a code to get into the property. That was the only hiccup. The property was very clean and cozy. My husband and I had a great time. We also were able to play pool and shuffle board at the game building. The host even checked on us during our stay via text! They have guest color a rock for the garden which was a super cute personal touch. I have already recommended to others. 😊
