Dana is a perfect host!! The two ice trays in the freezer had been filled before I arrived, making it easy to settle in the first night. Unlike too many VRBO's the unit is EXACTLY as advertised. It is a warm and cozy one-bedroom apartment on top of a 3 car garage and workshop.
Although I stay up late and wake up late, owners accessed their garage and workshop in a manner that did not disturb my sleeping late in the morning. Dana has a plow, and when 6+" of snow hit suddenly, it was not long before the driveway was cleared to the road, and snow was shoveled outside my door.
Electric heat is adjustable in the main great room and the bedroom. Washer dryer combo is in a corner in the bedroom, I used in on several occasions during my week and a half stay.
Langley is fine little exurb to Vancouver B.C. Not quite as dynamic an economy as its neighbor Abbotsford, where I was investigating purchasing property. (Abbotsford is the next Kirkland, WA - invest now.)
Kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating essentials, electric stove and oven which works well. Even better, host left lots of paper towels and toilet paper, a detail many host overlook. On more than one rental I've had to purchase my own.
Many excellent restaurants in the area. Shout out to Porter's Bistro Coffee and Tea House, perfect for late sleepers who don't breakfast but do brunch.
I enjoyed my stay so much I left clothes and a book behind. Dana mailed them to me back in the states.
Hospitality does not get better than this. I know it's the best this side of Calgary, because I started in Calgary and VRBO'd my way to Vancouver B.C. along beautiful Hwy 3. This bested every stay, including one in the ritzy part of Vancouver in a remodeled mansion.
