Exquisite, recently renovated studio apartment

There is hot water at the property. It is operated by a switch, which has to be turned on. The guest was messaged with instructions on the unit, including:- how to check in, how to operate the water heater, how to operate the tv/cable etc, where to find garbage bags, extra toiletry etc. These instructional messages are sent to every guest. Guest chose to contact me through the security guard at the premises, on the very same phone number, that is listed in the reservation by VRBO. I also messaged the guest directly on the phone number provided by VRBO through WhatsApp (on the event that his phone was not roaming). There was no response or acknowledgement of the message by the guest. The guest had my telephone number, email address and I can also be reached on the VRBO app. All contact information for the host is stated in the reservation by VRBO. This is mandatory.

Highly misleading and dishonest review. The “issue”, was that this guest somehow managed to utilize the full canister of shampoo within 4 days of her stay; a canister which no guest has ever managed to empty, irrespective of length of stay. The guest was informed, that as this is not a hotel, we only do refills during normal housekeeping requests; a service which some guests request during their stay. Housekeeping was not requested by this guest. There was no complaint by this guest re any other amenity. The unit is recently renovated.

As “pillow cases” are easily changeable, it would be useful for guests to report the specific nature of any complaints to the host, while you are in the unit, and not after you have checked out.
