We had a nice time on St. Thomas and St. John. This location makes it very easy to either relax on the beach next to the condo or take a quick 3 minute cab ride to catch a ferry to St. John
The description of the property is clearly outdated by possibly a decade or more. The property does have a fun beach bar and onsite restaurants and very convenient to the Redhook area
Overall we're very satisfied with the property. The living room pull-out was not comfortable according to our 21 year old but the main bed was very co fortablw.
Great location. Nice bar and amenities. Close to ferry. Its a beautiful view. OK...Needs a serious remodel. Everything 20 years old. I get it that its on an island BUT this place needs a major remodel. You pay for the view, after that its a college apartment. Mattress is soooo BAD! Other items:Bugs in kitchenFurniture disgusting, has covers over everything, never sat on most furnitureSilverware rusty and oldLacking glasses and coffer mugsOutside furniture molding and disgusting, we tried t dry it off and use it.FYI - No dishwasher
The location of this property is perfect. A balcony on both levels allows you to view the turquoise waters and listen to the serenity of the waves. The condo was very clean and provided everything we needed. Any questions I had were addressed very timely. We are excited to come back.
Great two story unit with beautiful views. Very nicely appointed, clean and loved the two bathrooms and privacy upstairs. Terrace very comfortably set up. A few things could use some updating but overall a lovely unit and so convenient to everthing.
This condo had the best view. Looked right out on the beach. You could hear the water crash on the shore. Condo was clean and spacious. The news were comfortable including the pull out couch upstairs. The beach bar and the pizza restaurant were great and close. Sudis was just up the hill and it was good too. The coffee shop was nice to have for breakfast. A grocery store is just 1/2 mile away for 6/pp cab ride. Iâd stay here again no doubt.
We had a wonderful time staying in this condo at Sapphire Beach! It was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of places to sleep, linens, and cute decor. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio with coffee and cooking in the kitchen. The location also cannot be beat- right next to our favorite beach! Very easy to head straight to the beach to snorkel or go to the pool. It is also very close to other great beaches, Red Hook, and the ferry to St. John. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to come back soon!
This charming condo is in the best building of the complex for quiet, yet a short walk to the swimming beach and all the activities there. Plus it's right next door to the marina which was perfect for excursions. The condo had some maintenance issues but the owner and manager were responsive. The rusty front door deadbolt would not unlock so I had to be rescued by security. Then the electric stovetop had a serious short whereby the only remedy the handiman suggested was to turn off the breaker when not in use. A large screen door blew off the track during a storm and crashed into the patio table one night. It's been my experience that screen tracks in tropical areas are usually a problem. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked with equipment, although it needs a good size coffee pot for us decaf drinkers since I couldn't find decaf pods in Red Hook (Moe's is a great little grocery store!). There is such a coffee maker but the pot doesn't fit it. And the place really needs a chef knife sharpener if anyone want to cut anything but butter. Plus adding more drinking glassware would be helpful. Overall, the unit was pretty clean although the upstairs shower had a bit of mold. It would be very helpful to add a rack with coat hooks for hanging towels and coverups along the long entry wall. I enjoyed my stay there despite these relatively minor issues. And I will always treasure the fabulous views off the patio and the sound of the waves just a few yards away!!!
The property was very clean and as described. The beach and resort were absolutely beautiful. The unit was very clean and certainly met our needs. The view was stunning. We had some concerns upon entering the unit with the upstairs A/C which were promptly addressed by the owner and maintenance. I would advise anyone expecting to use the bar b q pit that there isnât one. Overall wonderful unit!
We absolutely loved our stay in this lovely condo on Sapphire Beach. We would definitely stay again. As always, everything is well maintained on this property. They are adding new restaurants, shopping, and night life which was great for having date nights. The view from the condo was to die for and the breeze that runs through the condo made our stay so relaxing.
Location for this condo has the best view of water, pool, marina, and St. Johns island... The decor is perfect, furniture is very comfortable including the king sized bed... Loved lighting the provided tea lights throughout for romance... And the breeze!!! Especially from the bedroom balcony!!! Will definitely be back!!!
The property was as described. It is a gorgeous location on Sapphire Beach. The view from the condo is amazing, you can even see the island of St. John. The condo complex is great. There is a coffee/breakfast shop open in the morning, and multiple lunch/dinner options available on property. The only issue we had with our stay was we were not provided the check-in instructions prior to our check-in time. To get the instructions, I needed to have VRBO contact the host which was stressful. I also reached out to the host during our stay and I never received a response back.
The condo is not as described. Perhaps it had not been used and cleaned in a while. Black bits of stuff was on the bed, floor, porch, which I believe came from the roof. Work was being done on the roof. I left after 1 night. Also this is not a good time to come here.
My husband and I and our four children live in Seattle, Washington. We love to travel and have spent much of our free time traveling across the globe. We love outdoor activities such as boating, skiing, swimming, snorkeling and hiking.
My family and I fell in love with St. Thomas when we first visited it on a Carribean cruise in August of 2010. We knew we wanted to come back. In January of 2011 we made a return trip to St. Thomas to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We stayed at Sapphire Beach and decided we needed to make it our second home. We purchased our unit a month later and I have been renovating it since. Finally, it is finished......and beautiful.
