Loved the eclectic nature of the home decor... lots to see. Great views over Launceston and very close to everything too. Had all of the necessities too. The car park space was a little awkward to get in and out of but that's the sacrifice you make for getting to ejoy the views offered by such a location. We all enjoyed our stay here and if visiting Launceston again, we will certainly check the house's availability to see if we can stay there again.
Beautiful house, steep driveway
Beautiful old house that is well looked after. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved having 2 bathrooms and the spa was lovely.
Our hire car was a large 4wd. The steep driveway made it a little bit difficult to park the car. The driveway is best suited for a smaller sedan. Anyone with a 4wd is best to approach the driveway facing up the hill.
The views from the property are lovely.
We give this one 10/10 !
Everything about our stay at Trevallyn on Gorge was perfect! Even before we arrived, communication with Phillip was friendly and helpful, including not just information about our accomodation, but also helpful tips on what to do and see in Launceton. The house is in a beautiful, convenient part of town, and is a very special heritage treasure. Anne and Phillip have done a top class job of decorating this home away from home. When we first walked in, we were struck by the vibrant, fun and inspiring interior design. A feast for the eyes!!
The house is not only beautiful, but complete with EVERY convenience you could need, and some you don't need but are really nice to have (eg books for every taste, 2nd TV in the kids bedroom, spa bath etc).
Comfy furniture, well appointed kitchen, interesting information about the house and Launceston (current and historic) and beautiful views from the verandahs added even more joy to our idyllic stay.
Phillip and Anne have obviously put their heart and soul into this beautiful home, and we felt privileged to be able to stay there on our Tassie holiday. We will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.
