Our stay at Haydenblair House was a sheer delight. From cosy nights by the fire to breakfast on the veranda to the magnificent gardens we could not have asked for more.Brett was an attentive host, responding immediatly to any communication.Highly recommend it.
Great sized rooms with plenty of space to roam around, nice gardens with the chooks and their chicks keeping us entertained. Brett was helpful right from the airport arrival and gave us info about Norfolk. Relaxing week thoroughly enjoyed our time at Haydanblair
We had a great stay on Norfolk Island while staying at Brettâs property. He was a wonderful host and it was a lovely old timber house that was perfect for our needs.
Very spacious house, in a quiet location⊠The grounds were huge and we enjoyed sitting on the veranda for breakfast overlooking the garden..
Heaps of space for the 4 of us with beds to spare, and a comfortable lounge.. Friendly, helpful owner.
Always wanted to go to Norfolk Island. Easy place to visit with heaps of history and good food with friendly people.
House was exactly what we needed. Great size and everyone could find their own space when needed. Good location, everything worked.
Plenty of space and living areas, older facilities but great atmosphere of peace and quiet. Great that Brett met us at the airport and organised an orientation tour for us. Thoroughly enjoyed the different way of life in this glorious spot.
A great location for us - a bedroom each, plenty of space to spread out. Well equipped (except more tea towels would have been good). Great to be able to sit on the verandahs in the sun, watch the chickens, listen to the birds.
Would recommend this to anyone wanting a really relaxed holiday
We enjoyed a wonderful week on Norfolk Island with Haydenblair House as our home base. House has plenty of room, everything you need for self-catering and a beautiful garden. Loved opening the double doors off our bedroom each morning to gaze at the palms and pines. The local free roaming chooks were a bonus. Definitely recommend for a family group.
Comfortable, quiet, secluded house suitable for group of friends as we each had our own bedroom and plenty of space to relax separately or hang out together. Enjoyed having breakfast and afternoon drinks on the verandah watching the silver terns roost in the pine tree. Maintenance and cleanliness of property could be improved though. Not enough supplies like toilet paper, cling wrap, garbage bags provided or a house Information folder which I would expect for a property.Appreciated that Brett met us at the airport and took us to the house. We enjoyed our stay but a bit of extra thought would elevate the experience.pinectree
The property was spacious and well positioned with easy access to all parts of this amazingly beautiful and interesting island. Unfortunately the property needed a really good clean and lots of maintenance to make it worth the money we paid. There were basics missing which we were expecting to be included such as toilet paper, tissues, dishwasher tablets, hand soap. All the cutlery and crockery had to be washed before use because of the damp and mould.
Overall excellent. Cleaners could do a better job in the kitchen but nothing we couldn't live with :) Could have done without the cyclone but that was not Brett's fault !!
My husband and I loved staying at Brettâs lovely property and appreciated being met at the airport and taken to the house. The house is set on a large leafy property, with expansive views of the national park. Breakfast on the verandah was a great way to start the day, being met by the resident chooks and drinking a glass of freshly squeezed orange & grapefruit juice, from fruit we picked from the many fruit trees on the property. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. The fire place was an added bonus on chilly nights. Thank you for sharing your lovely house and property with us Brett.
Brett was a great host, meeting us at the airport and organising rental cars. The house is large and surrounded by pleasant gardens. The house was a bit short on a few things and a bit dusty but a pleasant place to relax.
Haydanblair House gave us a unique experience never to be forgotten. Situated in the peace and quiet on acreage in Burnt Pine, the house is a credit to the owner and gave us 3 senior couples a holiday in February 2019 that we will remember for a long time. The accommodation and facilities are more than adequate, which gave us a relaxed feel from the moment we stepped in the front door. Talk about a home away from home, we would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on Norfolk Island. In addition, we were particularly impressed with the help given to us by Brett, who made himself available to accommodate our needs.
