Very cute vacation home with lots of character!!

Great location, we love the neighborhood! Loved all the art work throughout!! The kitchen could use some Rubbermaid container & couple more bowls. Outside of the front steps needing replaced & a few webs in the master bedroom ceiling corners this home was cozy & was a great beach home!!

WONDERFUL SEASIDE EXPERIENCE

One floor meant no scary stairs for the baby, and the master bedroom was far from the living room allowing the baby to sleep restfully. The art is fantastic- reminds me of NOLA charm.

Wonderful!

Our group of nine spent spring break here and had a wonderful time! The home is very comfortable and decorated in kitschy, beach decor. The neighborhood is beautiful and a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood pool (unheated) is a few houses away. The neighborhood also has a tennis court and a small playground. Very quiet and serene. The screened porch is a nice place to relax. We had two maintenance issues that were taken care of promptly. The house is equipped with beach chairs, umbrella and toys. Highly recommend!!!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The bedroom walls are so thin that we could all hear everything going on in the other rooms. Also, the floor in the master really needs updating. And the hall bathroom needs updating too. The patio furniture is not very comfortable. We won't be staying here again. Just not very comfortable. I would also recommend a nicer dining table as this one is something you see outside not inside a home.

Second time to stay

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There are no recent reviews on this house. This house is in desperate need of updates. I stayed here in 2018 and nothing has changed. Needs updated furniture, beds, sofa, pots/pans, no broom to sweep sand, washer was broken, hot water heater needs replacing. AC no lower than 72. No coffee, salt/pepper/oil. Great location.

Best Spot in Seagrove

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this home is perfect for several reasons. First, the beach access is super close and most importantly, this beach access is one of the least crowded areas on the beach. I walked all the way down to the high rise in Seagrove. I could not believe how lucky we got compared with the other areas. Second, the house itself sits close to the front of the neighborhood with close proximity to the pool. The neighborhood is quiet, shaded, well kept, and peaceful. I enjoyed sitting on the large screened porch.The house is much roomier than the pictures portray. We had plenty of space. Funky, fun, original artwork fills the walls. And the kitchen is well stocked. I would definitely bring our family back here in the future.

Loved Our Stay!!

We had the best time in our Duck Duck Goose beach cottage! It was clean and decorated so cute! We will miss that screened in porch. Much more spacious than we expected. Close to everything. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a good stay but probably wouldn’t recommend this particular house again. We have stayed in many houses in the neighborhood. Needs updating and no refund policy if you need to change date etc.

Great stay

We had a great trip to Seagrove Beach and this was the perfect neighborhood for the visit. This home is in the front section of the neighborhood which makes for a shorter trip to the beach. Biking to the beach was a breeze. The home was perfect for what we needed and we had no issues while there. A gas grill instead of the charcoal grill would be a great addition but it was still a breeze.

Mostly Positive But Some Mixed Feelings

Overall my family had a great trip, but I have mixed feelings about this property. I decided to do a pro/con list so that you can decide what's important for your own stay. TL/DR - I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. PROS: 1) The location is excellent. This neighborhood is quiet and is close to everything you need. It has two pools, which are kept very clean and never seemed to be crowded. I love this area of 30A, so this is a big plus. 2) The inside of the property was very clean when we arrived...although we did have some issues (see below). But considering that we traveled during the pandemic, I was relieved. The property has a cabin-like feel (older furniture and bedding), but with updated bathroom and kitchen fixtures. The screen porch is wonderful and very roomy! 3) The property manager emailed me very quickly when we had issues. I feel like if I had wanted more contact, someone would have answered me, so that was good. CONS 1) Unfortunately, we had maintenance issues during our stay. The ice maker was broken on arrival, but I didn't request a service visit because we don't use a lot of ice. But then we had a smoke detector go off in the middle of the night for low battery. And then the washing machine (which is very old) had a huge puddle of water under it. Luckily it was our last day when that happened. But having so many problems was a bummer, because you don't want to think about maintenance when you're on vacation. 2) The outside of the property needs some TLC. It was a little dreary looking and needs the gutters cleaned and the yard cleaned up. I was glad the inside was so clean overall...although we ended up having to kill a few roaches in the master bath! 3) The property manager was responsive with our issues, but unfortunately did not tell us *when* the service visit was happening for the washer. We got back from dinner, and it was clear someone had been in the house, but there was no note. Was the washer fixed? We never heard from anyone about it, so it was confusing. But it was our last day, so we didn't dwell on it. Like I said above, I think if I had asked more questions I would have been answered, but it would have been nice for the manager to send a note letting us know that someone had entered the property and if the issue was resolved. Overall, the appeal of the location and the neighborhood outweighed the inconvenience of the maintenance issues, so I would still recommend this property.

Quiet, restful vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our shortened stay due to a mandatory evacuation wasn't ideal - but this home was everything we expected and more! The rooms were spacious and clean. All of the beds were comfortable and the access to the Beach was only a 7 min walk! A must stay if you're looking for great access to the beach and well-maintained home.

It was convenient to the pool, the beach, and a bike ride to Seaside. The bikes were waiting on us when we arrived. One of our favorite things about the trip was sitting on the screened-in porch.

A great stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've visited the area several times, but this was our first stay at Duck Duck Goose. The rental company was prompt and easy to work with. The house is even better than pictures portray. The two main bedrooms have their own bathroom with a 3rd bath off the hallway. It was idea for two families with the children in the room with twin beds. The only downside was the kitchen wasn't greatly stocked. There are no dishtowels which would have made doing dishes easier. We would have loved a pitcher for making lemonade and such. Aside from some additions to the kitchen utensils, the house, location and community ammibities are delightful. The house was very clean! We'd definitely stay here again!
