Mostly enjoyed the stay here but it could do with some TLC. Rear outdoor area needs a good clean up and is a bit uninviting/dirty. Everything felt a bit dusty. Loved the overall vibe, feels bigger than the photos and has a super comfortable bed. However, shack has a serious centipede problem. Big ones small ones, was having to clear about 10 of them per day, which detracts from the experience. Property needs a bug bomb or to be resealed. Owners stuffing tea towels into the corner rafters doesnât exactly cut it. Something to keep in mind if booking around Easter, could be seasonal. Not listed on the listing but is mentioned in the cottage info book so the owners are aware itâs an issue. Overall it was nice but not worth what we paid to stay there.
The cottage was quirky, cozy and clean. Basic facilities but quiet. The property in general needs a good tidy up excessive rubbish at the front gate is not appealing. The property is a fire hazard with dead cypress limbs hanging from trees over the building.
Cannot recommend- Could not use the Spa Bath, property unkept.
Cannot recommend this property. We booked Honeyfield as it had a spa bath. There was no bath plug left for it, the property manager told us there was nothing that could be done about it. Very disappointing as this was a must feature that we specifically wanted for our 2x night Xmas get away gift for each other. The garden was heavily overgrown with tall weeds, property was not as described or how the photos depict. Dissatisfied with a menial refund to compensate.
Beautiful cozy cottage, perfect for the cold weather. 10 minute drive from robe but feels really close still. Only problem to report was a lack of mobile data but to be honest, thatâs probably because weâre with vodafone!
A great private hideaway, good distance from Robe & beach, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting.
Had a slight issue with flies, we'd come in in the evening to find a lot of flies, despite doors and windows being shut. Flyspray would've helped!
Overall we'd definitely recommend Honeyfield to our friends.
Lovely cozy place to go and relax. Very close to Robe and also far away enough for a peaceful stay. Completely recommend and would love to be back again
The cottage was exactly as pictured, so sweet. It is very close to the Honeyfield House but we didnât hear any noise from the guests there. If we had to nitpick, the cute little window shutters would bang when open so a way to secure those better would be good, we kept them closed because of it which was a shame. Apart from that, we would 100% stay here again, was a great little romantic get away!
The property was beautiful and was accurate to what was advertised online and my dog was very happy snoozing all night by the fire but I am very unhappy with the lack/no communication between stayz and the property owner. I booked 3 nights, Wednesday to Saturday paid in full and called when we arrived for access but told by the property owner we were in their books. They confirmed they could see it in stayz but not their own system and then told that someone is booked in from friday so we either need to change properties or only stay for 2 nights! We had booked this early August and although was refunded the 1 night no further compensation was offered. We did not have the time to do everything we wanted and planned over the 4 days there. We are very unhappy that stayz and the property owner just seemed to blame each other for their mistake.
The cottage was not cleaned when we arrived (as they weren't expecting us) and were quick to sort that out but will no longer book through stayz and only directly with a property or competitors! Very disappointed as that was our one trip away for the year.
We went looking for something cosy and intimate and we were not disappointed.
Honeyfield is a stunning little cottage with everything you need for a peaceful escape. The facilities are simple and relevant to the theme. The little kitchenette is well equipped for preparing small meals for two people.
We loved our stay and we recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a quiet getaway away for one or two people.
Too far from Robe burs & grass seeds problem for dogs. People did not pick up faeces of the dogs.
Ambience of the place was great, cooking facilities need urgent upgrading & most of the crockery was chipped.
Bed fantastic. Heating good. No storage space in bathroom
All very good, especially the open fire and the spa. Only drawback, and that's not the fault of the property, is that wifi using my Netgear was virtually non-existent.
Really beautiful quiet romantic place. Everything was set out perfectly & the bottle of local wine & the wood fire set up for easy ignition was fantastic. Highly reccomended if your after a nice relaxing time with your loved one
We loved our stay at Honeyfield. The cottage is gorgeous & the bed is wonderful. We travelled with our small dog and we didnât feel like we had to compromise. Some pet friendly rentals can be a little daggy, but not Honeyfield. It was lovely to arrive to the light & heater on and the bottle of local wine was wonderful and enjoyed in front of the wood fire. Our only concern is that this property is listed as accessible: the shower has several large steps and would not be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue, also no rails in toilet/bathroom. And only one wine glass. We would happily recommend this property to anyone who doesnât have special accessibility needs & especially to pet owners! We would love to return again in the future.
