In all understanding for a guest who has rented the villa for 4 weeks in August 2010, 4 weeks in August 2011, 4 weeks in August 2012 and 3 weeks in August 2013 without any prior complaints and who is obviously in rage now because we could not serve his wish for a late checkout requested on the last day day prior to his departure due to incoming guests the same day we have to restore reality: According to housekeeping all beds had the usual comfortable quadrangular pillows. The guest requested smaller pillows which were exchanged the next morning after the request. The manager, a British lady, lives in Elounda which is 4,6 km by road from the villa. All guests have her cell phone number and she is always available and frequently around as she is responsible responsible for 4 of our properties in Plaka. The Satellite TV has the Satellites Astra 2 and Hotbird. Altogether more than 50 channels in English. A brand new air-condition was installed also in the living room after the customer mentioned this request to the manager recently. As a larger part of the lawn had dried off, so housekeeping asked the guest if he would mind that they would reseed the lawn because the guest stayed this year 3 weeks. Guest found this a good idea and enforced the re-seeding which was done in the afternoon in the absence of the guests. The guest has rented the villa several times before. He admits re-renting even in his comments. The villa has a backup water system of 5000 liters. The only time when water can cut out is a power cut which will affect the deposit pumps. In summer 2011 there were several power cuts which was much better in the following years. I summer 2012 the guest had a technical defect of the fridge which was fixed within 24 hours and the guest was provided with a reserve fridge from the owners apartment in the villa during fixing time. The guest was aware of the published checkout time of 10 AM for several years. One day before checkout he requested a late checkout as his flight left in the evening. Unfortunately other guests came in on his checkout day at 14.00 so a late checkout was not possible. The custumoer was offered a luggage deposit and the use of the shower in the beach cottage area. But the guest decided to rent a day room in a luxury hotel in Elounda which he did after checking out from the villa at 11.00.

Dear Jeannette, many thanks for Your review. Unfortunately a circulation pump had broken and the hot water in the downstairs apartment took very long to reach the bathroom, obviously too long. In the 3 upstairs bathrooms the hot water worked with some delay due to the same reason (otherwise your couple staying in the basement could not have used the showers in the upstairs bathrooms ;). If you would have informed us about the issue in one of your frequent Whatsapp contacts with our host or when our housekeeping deblocked the toilet (which was working immediately again) we could have fixed the problem immediately. The problem is fixed in the meantime.

Dear Kim, many thanks for your review. We will of course see that we get more British channels for the TV (as the satellite TV does offer this, Astra satellite) but also ask for understanding that we have guests from almost all nations of this world ;). Unfortunately you were very unlucky with the weather during your stay as it was with air temperatures of only 20 Degrees Celsius unusually cold for the second half of September. Nevertheless the pool had due to the solar heating always between 20 - 22 Celsius but of course if the air is only 20 degrees Celsius its not the right weather for pool if you want to stay environmental conscious. What concerns an area to place clothing in the first bedroom we are quite astonished as this bedroom was used by your party just by one person and has a good sized wardrobe and we never had such a remark from the couples that stayed in before. Of course we will look in to this issue and try to improve also that. Again many thanks for your stay and your remarks that help us in continuously improving quality.
