Third time good stay, beuatifull house and nice views. Only problem we had this year was electricity going down a couple of times. Neighbour showed us how to get it back on. Other minority's we solved by asking owner, he gives very quick reactions so that's very good.

We felt very welcomed. Even before we arrived, the communication was good and friendly. All our questions were answered immediately. It's a lovely house, with a beautiful view, and very close to the Rogla ski area. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to other families. In the winter, the wood-burning stove is wonderful and cozy. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house.

Nice Home for Winterholidays

15 minutes away from the skilift, nice home, kindly neigbours an good beds. We made fire every evening, perfekt!

Comfort and peace

We enjoyed our stay at this nice, spacious and lovely house. Everything you need, is there. The view is amazing and it's so nice and quiet. It's a good starting Point for walks and excursions.

Amazing stay in beautiful surroundings

This was our 3rd stay in this beautiful house. Perfect place for hiking, skiing and enjoying this beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need, excellent communication with the owner. You can enjoy beautiful views from the balcony, excellent restaurant and shops in close proximity. Can highly recommend. Thanks again for letting us stay here.

Lovely house in a lovely region

We really enjoyed our stay and managed to ski every day at nearby Rogla which is a great resort for beginners and rusty intermediates. The house was perfect.It was clean and warm with plenty of space. And the views were wonderful. Clive was very helpful and responded quickly to messages. I would definitely recommend his place and Slovenia as a whole.

Perfect winter holiday

This was our second stay in this beautiful house. It is perfect if you like beautiful scenery, short drive to Rogla ski resort, quiet, absolutely beautiful. Excellent restaurant near by and several supermarkets. The weather was amazing and plenty of snow. We enjoyed skiing in Rogla and would highly recommend it. Excellent communication with the owner, very helpful. Hoping to come back next year. Thank you

Dirty kitchen

The stay was correct but we had to wash all the kitchen utensils to be able to eat as they were very dirty.

Unfortunately the guest who has made this comment came on holiday with many dogs and left our house in a disgraceful condition resulting in extra cleaning costs and an expensive living room rug having to replaced. This was very disappointing as In over ten years of renting we have never experienced such a problem with any of our guests. Consequently we have had to change our policy and can no longer welcome pets into our house. We have never had any complaints about the cleanliness of our house which strongly suggests this our only negative review has been motivated by the feedback we were obliged to provide post stay for this guest.

Surpassed expectations

This was an amazing place to stay we could not have wished for more. Gorgeous place, all amenities, very clean brilliantly laid out and a new breathtaking view every morning. Stunning does not begin to describe the views! Local walks are in fabulous forest lots of different tracks and routes to walk/cycle. Minor issues sorted out with excellent communication from Clive.Neighbours who help look after the property, they even put our rubbish out for collection..Will definitely be returning.

First Time Slovenia

We had a wonderful time in the house. Beautiful view of the valley while eating breakfast on the balcony. The house was in tip top condition. Since we were traveling shortly after the flooding I was grateful that the owner was reachable and able to answer questions about the situation in Slovenia. I can highly recommend Clive's house. A lovely house in a tranquil and beautiful location

Eastern Slovenia doesn't have the hustle of Western Slovenia in August and for that reason you can have a great holiday here. The mountains are different, high rolling pastures backed by miles and miles of forest makes ideal hiking and biking country. Road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes will be at home here...just be aware if you are on a road bike that some of the higher roads are not paved...gravel!! The scenery is spectacular, the people are very friendly and the food is excellent. The house was large and comfortable....the only downside (for 5 of us) was one bathroom...but that is the only negative and you know before you come. Other than that I would recommend anyone who loves the mountains or beautiful scenery to come and spend a week or more here!

Beautiful house

House was exactly as described, spacious , very clean , lovely neighborhood . View from the balcony was beautiful. Excellent communication with the host, very helpful. One thing that was really missing were bath towels. I know they were not mentioned in the description but I think this is essential . It's difficult for a whole family travelling from abroad to bring towels for everyone. Given that the bed linen needs changing, I'm sure the towels could be washed at the same time. Also, a hairdryer would be convenient. Apart from this we had a lovely stay and will hopefully be back! Thank you

Peaceful, idyllic retreat

We enjoyed a peaceful week in this fantastic retreat. The house is just beautiful, unique, and charming. Spacious, comfortable, well-equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed quiet mornings, meals, and views on the outside dining patio. The surrounding rolling hills provide ample opportunity for mountain biking, running, walking. Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, is very pretty and worth a visit. Since we were there during the summer heat, we would sightsee during the morning and cool off in a Terme park during the afternoon. Ptuj’s waterpark is new, very nice, but crowded - to be expected. We enjoyed the Terme Zrece swimming complex, as well; its’ a short drive from the house. We also visited the Museum of Evolution in Krapina, Croatia, at the site where a significant discovery of Neanderthal man was found. The town does not offer much, but the museum is impressive, very well done. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Pekel (Hell’s) Cave, 5km north of nearby Sempeter. These cool caverns were an inviting respite from the August heat and surprisingly uncrowded. The tour guide was fantastic. The Roman Necropolis in Sempeter was an interesting site, as the guide gave us an energetic, entertaining and informative tour. So, we really learned about the mythological inspired motifs. We highly recommend this wonderful vacation home and thank Clive and Ruth for sharing it. Karen, Brian & family.

Maison vraiment très agréable. On s’y sent comme chez soi. Elle est bien entretenue et est au calme, lumineuse et bien décorée. Il y a tout ce dont nous avons besoin. Vue sur les montagnes. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec nos 3 enfants.

Lovely and spacious house

Clive's house is large, confortable, clean and peaceful. We had all what we need- except the coffee maker ;-) The region is beautiful and with a lot of activities for adults and children. You will enjoy your stay there! Clive is away but communicative, easy-going and friendly.

Voor de wifi hebben we een eigen device, ervaring met internet in Slovenië. Het huis kende we van vorig jaar en het voelde als thuis komen. Prachtig en mooi ingericht huis met hele mooie uitzichten. Mijn foto's zijn te groot, krijg ik hier niet even makkelijk geplaatst maar ik heb er genoeg gemaakt.

Netter Urlaub

Wie schon von vielen geschrieben, es liegt an einem Berg. Der Weg dorthin ist sehr kurvenreich. Schön gelegen. Kuhglocken und Hahnkrähen sollten einen nicht stören. Das Grundstück ist leider nicht umzäunt. Das Haus und dessen Einrichtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und man sollte in ein Badfenster unbedingt investieren.

Schöner Wanderurlaub

Soweit recht schön, allerdings ist das Objekt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt gegen Abend wirklich viele Ameisen unter dem Mittelblock in der Küche, danach sollte mal jemand schauen. Aber alles recht sauber und vor allem ruhig. 😉😉
