Poros est une station de vacances populaire. Le climat doux assure un séjour confortable. Les belles plages sont parmi les meilleurs de l'île et sont idéales pour les familles et les personnes âgées. Le Poros Beach House est une maison traditionnelle avec deux chambres (une climatisée), une cuisine entièrement équipée et des toilettes avec baignoire. Il peut accueillir confortablement quatre personnes. Un jardin ombragé à l'arrière est un cadre idéal pour le déjeuner, tandis que le jardin devant la maison avec vue sur la mer. La maison est à seulement 5 mètres de la plage.

Le propriétaire vous traitera avec une authentique hospitalité grecque et vous présentera tous les "secrets locaux" (plages, randonnées en montagne, vieux villages, monastères, plusieurs itinéraires pittoresques) pour passer d'agréables vacances sur l'île de Céphalonie.

Sur demande, le petit-déjeuner traditionnel grec de produits biologiques / faits à la main (lait ou yaourt, miel, beurre, confiture, biscuits, pain, olives, tomates, feta, fruits) sera fourni par le propriétaire, ainsi que des cours de grec, comme elle est un enseignant certifié de la langue grecque.

très belles vacances

petite maison en bord de plage, calme avec les clochettes des petites chèvres en fond. Logement très propre. Ioanna est toujours de très bons conseils, discrète mais disponible. Elle vous fait partager les bons plans de son île magnifique et aussi ses plats. Poros est un endroit idéal pour le ferry qui vous emmène sur l'ile d'Ithaque et à une bonne heure d'Argostoli. Il y a des petits restaurants et quelques magasins de souvenirs. Nous avons passé, avec notre fille de 16 ans, de très belles vacances sur l'ïle de Céphalonie.

Bel emplacement à Poros

Petite maison à privilégier pour 3 personnes et en pleine saison (espace de vie limité en dehors de la petite cuisine). Emplacement idéal face à la mer. Accueil très chaleureux de Ioanina qui donne de très bons conseils.

Très bon accueil francophone

La maisonnette de Ioanna est bien située, en face de la plage, en sortie de Poros, sans pour autant être loin du centre. Bien équipée pour 4 personnes maximum, elle permet de prendre les repas à l'extérieur tout en regardant la mer. Cuisine bien équipée comme chez soi. Wi-fi, commerces et bonnes tavernes à proximité. Situation idéale pour découvrir le Sud-Est de Céphalonie. Bien que la plage de Poros soit classée "pavillon bleu", il ne faut pas rater celle de Skala à 15 mn en voiture qui est encore plus agréable. Location idéale pour un séjour en famille.

This is a really nice house in a great location. Joanna is great, really helpful , even bringing us local food. Ideal for a young family who want a stay in a quiet town with traditional tavernas and great food. Also boats to hire if you want a trip round the Island

Lovely relaxing holiday

The property is charming it has everything you need with plenty of space and a lovely shaded seating and eating area which was great to relax in out of the heat. The sea is literally on your doorstep, I achieved my ambition of finding a property that really was close to the sea, the road is not busy so you can just wander across and head into the beautiful clear water. There are a good choice of tavernas within easy reach and the town square offers cocktail bars and shops again all within an easy level walk. Joanna is a wonderful host, she is a fascinating person with lots of local knowledge and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely visit again.

Beautiful traditional house with great hospitality

Already the beginning of our vacation in Kefalonia was very special. Since we traveled without a car, Joanna, the owner, welcomed us already at the port of Poros. As a family of four with correspondingly much luggage, she brought us with her car quite naturally with two trips to the vacation home. The entrance area and the small courtyard with the many plants and flowers, the fruit and drinks that Joanna had already provided for us in the refrigerator, as well as the small, simple, beautifully furnished, very clean traditional house made us feel very comfortable from the first moment. Since we spent our vacations during an extreme heat period in Greece, the sea, which is very close to the house, proved to be doubly nice, since we could cool down at any time. Halfway through our two-week vacation, we received fresh linens as well as towels and the house was cleaned. We really appreciated this service that Joanna offered us free of charge. Joanna is a very friendly, open and communicative hostess who takes great care of her guests. We had many interesting, personal conversations with her, which will remain in our very good and warm memories. If you want to make individual vacations in Greece and are looking for personal contact with the people and the culture, you will feel very comfortable here. We can highly recommend this special house and thank Joanna for the wonderful time we spent here.

A really nice place for a one week stay.

The location is perfect and Joanna was so very helpful and is a lovely person. If we had a problem then she solved it and was always ready to help. She could not have been more friendly. The king-sized bed is extremely comfortable and the property is really well ventilated a almost all the windows have mosquito nets although we came across very few of the little beasties in late September.

Joanna was an excellent hostess. Very attentive and helpful.She lives next door . The rental property is well equipped and we had welcome fruits. One can walk to many tavernas. Delightful Greek cottage

The cottage was immaculately clean, very compact but with everything one would need for a peaceful break. Our host, Joanne, is charming and very knowledgeable about Kefallonia . The sea is so near you fall asleep to the gentle lapping of waves.

Ferienwohnung direkt am Strand

Poros ist ein kleiner, sehr authentischer Ort am Meer. Er ist schöner als in manchen Reiseführern dargestellt. Der Strrand direkt vor der Ferienwohnung ist sauber und das Wasser extrem klar. Das ist in einem Ort mit Hafen eher unerwartet. Auch blieb Poros - jedenfalls in Zeiten der COVID-19-Pandemie - von Touristenschwärmen verschont. In den Tavernen sitzt man zusammen mit Griechen, so soll Urlaub sein. Die Ferienwohnung ist einzigartig gelegen, direkt am Wasser und hat einen begrünten und schattigen Innenhof. Die Vermieterin, Ioanna, ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Sie steht jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung und ist auch einem gelegentlichen Schwätzchen zwischendurch nicht abgeneigt. Es ist einfach, sie zu kontaktieren. Jedenfalls während unseres Aufenthaltes wohnte sie in einem Nebengebäude der Ferienwohnung direkt am Innenhof. Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt phantastisch. Vielen Dank Ioanna!

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt auf Kefalonia

Sehr schön gelegenes Häuschen mit Blick aufs Meer. Poros ist ein ruhiges Städtchen, nicht zu touristisch, Bäcker, Supermarkt, Metzger und Poros Beach sind zu Fuß erreichbar. In unmittelbarer Nähe des Häuschens sind Restaurants und ein kleiner Strand mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen zum Mieten. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns viele Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der Insel gegeben. Auch unseren Kindern (17 und 14 Jahre) hat es hier sehr gefallen. Lovely, quiet getaway

This was the holiday that we all needed and the house was perfect for us. The sound of the sea across the road from the house was very soothing along with the occasional goat bells in the morning. It's a perfect spot to watch the sun rise in the morning. The host, Joanna, was very welcoming and extremely helpful. There are several tavernas within walking distance, all of which serve very good food, with large helpings, reasonably priced. Time to diet now. This is the place to go if you want a quiet, relaxing break.

A very nice cosy and comfortable accommodation.

My wife, myself and adult granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Joanna our host was lovely, providing comfortable holiday accommodation less than a stones throw away from the beach. The location is very flat with nice views out to sea and the hills behind Poros. Joanna provided a wealth of local information and nothing was too much for her to ensure that our stay was a pleasant one. My wife suffered a serious bite whilst out and Joanna could not have been more helpful seeking advice and directing us to the hospital in Argostoly. What was lacking in decor at the hospital was easily surpassed by the treatment received which was first class and also very prompt. The location of the accommodation was ideal for us being a flat walking route into the centre of Poros passing a number of very nice taverna's and restaurants enroute. We had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality provided by our host.

A unique traditional holiday home right next to the beach

This really was a unique holiday home and just perfect for the three of us to stay the proximity to the beach made it feel like it was exclusive to us. Joanna the owner who lived in the attached property was just lovely and gave us a real insight into the local area and made our holiday really special. The property was comfortable, clean and really easy to live in having everything you could wish for, however during our stay we spent most of our time outside. The gorgeous court yard had lots of plants to add to the ambience too. It was lovely to sit outside in the morning and evening to watch the world go by, listening to lapping sea just a short distance away. Poros had plenty of restaurants, a few bars, supermarket and bakery which were a flat easy walk away. It felt very safe and friendly to walk around day and night. There are plenty of places to visit nearby by either walking, car hire or bus and daily boat trips to different islands. We took a boat trip from Poros to Ithaka which was an all day trip and great fun with several stops in different small villages. It was also extremely good value for money. Two of us even managed to walk up the mountainside behind Poros!!! The beach was lovely but stoney at the waters edge so recommend beach shoes you can hire sunbeds and umbrellas at the far end of the beach but we chose to stay on the part of the beach in front of the house which felt quite exclusive. Overall we found the people of Poros extremely welcoming from the minute we were picked up from the airport by George the local taxi driver until the day we left. The weather was perfect and we were able to truly relax and recharge. Other reviews have said they really don't want everyone to know about this place and to keep it as a secret as its perfect just the way it is.The pace of life slow and just as you imagine life on a Greek island to be. I would definitely recommend this holiday home with the lovely Joanna and I am sure we will be back as there is so much more to do and see and we have only just begun.I have never felt quite so relaxed on holiday before.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely apartment and in Poros

Het was een sfeervol, prettig en netjes appartement, met een heerlijke ligging tegenover het strand. Poros is een leuk stadje, mooi gelegen en niet al te toeristisch. We hebben een leuk contact gehad met Joanna, die in het naastgelegen appartement woont, en veel plezier gehad van de tips die zij gaf om Poros en Kefalonia te ontdekken. Het is aan te raden om een auto te huren zodat je de vele andere stranden en stadjes kunt bezoeken. Thank you Joanna, we had a wonderful week, and we returned home with a big smile!

Small but perfect

I recently spent a week here with my three friends.The little house was perfectly suited to our needs.The beds were comfy and the kitchen very well equipped.The outside seating area was delightful and we four ladies spent many an evening sharing a bottle( or more )of wine under the vine leaves.Just perfect.There are several tavernas,all within walking distance selling a good variety of fish and excellent Greek food and wine.The pool, 100 metres away was a bonus.Good traditional food served here too.We would swim here and then cross the road for a dip in the sea.Poros is delightful and I would probably return, hopefully in the not too distant future.Beach house may be small but remember, nice things come in small packages!!

Pretty, well-equipped little house in a great location

This little house was perfect for us. It had everything we needed for our stay and Joanna kindly provided a cot for our nearly-2 year old. She was really kind and attentive and it was great to have so much local knowledge on hand! Poros is a lovely, friendly, quiet town and we were very happy staying put there for 2 weeks-the swimming from the beaches is fantastic and it was really good to have the swimming pool nearly next door. You can get everything you need in the great selection of shops and there are plenty of choices for meals out, most of the tavernas will do takeaways too. We would definitely recommend Joanna's house to people looking for a relaxing break by the sea-it's small but perfectly formed!

Perfect!

Me and my wife stayed at this property for more than 3 weeks in September and we really got addicted to this beautiful place. It provides in everything you need for a relaxing holiday far away from the noisy tourism. From our breakfast table we overlooked the Ionian Sea just 20 yards in front of us. Beach, shops, swimming pool, restaurants, supermarkets: it is all there within a few steps away. So the first week we completely ran our desire to explore more off the Island and we stayed day after day at this cozy place without twiddling our thumbs. Above all there is always the sympathetic and helpful attendance of Ioanna. She provides you with all kind off recommendations and suggestions you need and we really felt us at home and at ease. We have the habit to never visit the same place for our summer holidays, but with this amazing place it might be different.

Ideal location

This was the second time my family and myself have stayed at this property, after our first stay in 2013 we fell in love with the place and booked the next years break almost immediately upon returning home,our first taste of Poros was 23 years ago and it hasn't changed that much in all that time. it has a very laid back feel, a little slice of Greek life. great local restaurants,bars,supermarkets and shops are a stroll away, the house is compact but with all the comforts you would need, the owner Joanna is a very warm hospitable lady who just wants to make your holiday as pleasurable as possible. this house is a perfect base for exploring the island,a car is a must for exploring further afield but you could quite easily spend your days on the clean (not very busy) beach and have a real chill out, for the price I don't think you could find such a property so close to the beach in such a great location. Again I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family

A Place of Beauty

A fantastic location only across the road from Poros beach with small Tavernas either side that were so reasonably priced, we ate out all the time. The pace of life, cleanliness, friendliness and climate make this a truly relaxing holiday and we all felt totally chilled out after just one week there. Ioanna was the perfect hostess, available as required for local knowledge and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely return for another holiday.

quaint little house in an ideal location

We stayed at this beautiful little house for two weeks in August 2013,My wife,Myself and our two sons (13 and 18 years old), the house was perfect for us, it is compact but everything we needed was there,a shaded garden to the rear and a patio to the front, the beach is literally ten steps from the house which is very clean and well looked after, the owner Ioanna lives in an adjoining house at the front and was very attentive to our needs, as another reviewer said not intrusive but always willing to help she cooked us a wonderful meal one evening and bought us local delicacies to try,there was a slight language barrier but she was very warm and hospitable, a genuine caring host. the holiday was very relaxing, it was the second time we have stayed in poros and as soon as we arrived back home we knew we would return the next year (which we have already booked) Poros itself is quiet but with quite a few decent restaurants to choose from and a couple of small supermarkets within walking distance. we hired a car, which is a must to explore this beautiful island there is so much to see, we also hired a boat and spent a wonderful day on our own secluded beach,which was amazing, if you are looking for relaxation and stunning scenery Kefalonia is for you and Poros is the perfect base. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone in search of peace and tranquility at a very competitive price

Fantastic place!

A friend of mine and I stayed in this beautiful house for 10 days in August. We had a great time: Cefalonia is a wonderful island, impressive and spectacular, with beautiful beaches and clear water: However this excellent house was a great asset in our stay: very clean, very comfortable, well-equipped, it has everything you might need for a home-from-home experience.There 2 separate bedrooms (which we decided to make use of), consistently reliable WiFi, efficient air conditioning (even if we eventually switched it off as there was actually no need of it) and a wonderful patio with a table and chairs with direct view of the sea, which is only a few meters away. It was so nice to sit there, hear the sound of the waves and look at the sea. The location itself is great. just a few meters from the sea, a nice beach only a couple of minutes'walk, many tavernas to choose from. Poros is fairly quiet but it has everything you might need. And from there you can easily visit all the other beautiful spots on the island.For us it was perfect, we could not have chosen better. A special thank you to Ioanna, the owner. She was an excellent host, extremely helpul, she answered all our questions and provided very useful suggestions about things to do and places to visit. She was available throughout the holiday to provide assistance if we needed it, like a friend more than a host. I would highly recommend this house and I hope to go back there soon!

The perfect Greek holiday home

I was lucky enough to spend 4 weeks here in June/July 2013. I could not have wanted any more from my Greek holiday. The cottage is perfectly located - just a few steps from the beach (which has gorgeous clear water for swimming in) but with plenty of tavernas, cafes and shops an easy stroll away. In spite of the central location, it is very quiet and peaceful, and the shady garden is the perfect spot to have breakfast. Joanna the owner lives next door, and is a warm and lovely host, who can help with restaurant bookings and anything else you may require! I fell in love with Poros, and with this little slice of Greek heaven, and hope to return again very soon.
