We had a wonderful stay over the festive period celebrating a 90th birthday and xmas day. Communication was fantastic and host pulled out all the stops when it came to being magical for my two children.Place was equipped with everything you need, beds were very comfortable and the towels were lovely and soft. We will definitely be back.
Check in is easy with lock box. Very clean throughout. Comfortable for the group.
Hot tub a real pleasure with gorgeous sunsets to finish the day.
Roads around the property are farm tracks so a little care needed. We found the road past the care home a better route to and from the property.
If in the area again would look to rent this property.
I thoroughly enjoyed a recent stay at Ben Wyvis. Everything was as described, and it was incredibly relaxing. It's about 40 minutes from the Inverness Airport. Once settled, you can take in the breathtaking beauty of the late evening sunset through the clouds over the bay. The meadows stretch out in front of you for miles, and you can hear sheep and cows nearby. It's incredly peaceful. The kitchen is very handy, and the hot tub was a lovely touch. I would stay again and again.
Lovely holiday, clean. Needs more kitchen equipment as no baking trays. Gets very warm so a fan would have been nice for the room. We were expecting the drive on the track to be bad but please be careful if you have a low level car potholes awful. Hot tub broke for 2 days but Sarah and Fiona dealt with it efficiently. Forres station nearby for access to Inverness and Findhorn bay worth a visit.
We had a brilliant and peaceful stay at Ben Wyvis. The lodge was spotlessly clean and everything was very comfortable , especially the bed. We enjoyed the hot tub and deck area. The location is isolated enough to be private but only a short drive to Forres for anything we needed.
Great views over the Moray Firth. Accomodation really clean, and in good order. Very comfortable stay. Really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and taking in the vista. Great spot for visiting surrounding areas. Kids enjoyed playing around the grounds too. Slightly tricky to find!
Just returned home from a lovely 3 night stay in this lovely cabin. Everything was perfect from arriving to leaving. The generously sized cabin is brand new, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Although there were only two of us and our dog, there is a double en-suite room and two twin rooms with shared bathroom, so plenty of space without getting in top of each other. There are only two cabins onsite offering tranquility and privacy. We spent each night in the hot tub to watch sunset with amazing views over Findhorn Bay, Moray Firth and beyond. The kitchen is ample for cooking a family meal and there is a large dining table also offering amazing views. Kinloss, Findhorn, Forres and Nairn are all short drives away for restaurants and supermarkets. There is an Aldi, Sainsburyâs and Tesco all within a 20 minute drive so thereâs no need to load the car up before leaving. Just Eat also offered delivery options if you wanted to get a takeaway.
We run a busy B&B ourselves and were very impressed with the standard of accommodation and facilities on offer. Very good value for money. We wanted somewhere nice to relax for a few days with no humans around and thatâs exactly what we got. Canât wait to come back.
Lovely views, great accommodation, amazing hot tub!
Loved our stay at Ben Wyvis. The cabin was really nice and had everything you could want. The hot tub was amazing and we loved sitting out on the decking overlooking the sea. Hope to come and stay again!
Ben Wyvis Woodland Lodge was a well furnished and comfortable lodge in a fabulous setting and built on a hill. One of two lodges which are private from one another. The views over Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth were just spectacular. I didnât fully appreciate this when booking therefore a bonus to the holiday. Having the hot tub to chill in was just lovely. Access to the property from the A96 was a single dirt track road. We found another route to and from the lodge from main road which was easier on the cars. Perhaps there could be more detail on access to the property. Not sure the lodge pictured on the HomeAway site is the same lodge. Should advertise actual lodge which would highlight how fabulous it is.
Overall, I would highly recommend Ben Wyvis Lodge and would certainly return again.
Burgie Estate has been in the Lochore family for 4 generations. The estate boasts 1000 acres of farm and woodland, along with a 60 acre Arboretum, lochans and natural woodlands. The family have been working hard to make the estate a modern and thriving business that is something that can preserved and enjoyed by generations to come. This has meant that the estate has started to diversify and in 2017 they opened the Lodges.
Ben Wyvis Lodge has a tranquil atmosphere in a secluded spot. Sleeping up to 6 people it has space for either family or friends to enjoy the stunning views while having a brake from everyday life. With forest behind and stunning views over the Moray Firth the lodges boast arguably the best views in Moray. The interior of the lodge is light and modern and everything you would need for a relaxing getaway.
