Close to town, nice property and wonderful views. Had a couple of issues, quickly resolved by property manager. This is our second time at this location and we will book again.
Big beautiful house, scenic and convenient location
We stayed here for an extended family Thanksgiving get-together. The house was spacious and well appointed, with a stocked kitchen and plenty of towels. The property manager was very communicative on the front and back end. Every room has a scenic view. There is a hiking trail just up the road, and another trail just down the road that takes you straight to town. We really enjoyed our stay!
We stayed at this property with another family. It was a perfect location and great layout. Lots of beds and space for our group of 6 people! The property manager was very easy to deal with and responsive to messages. We love Steamboat and I will look to rent this same house next time we visit.
The home was large and comfortable. It was clean and we had all the expected supplies so we did not have to make a quick run to the store on day one. We had good communication with the agent and everything worked properly. The only issue was that there were flies and a few wasps in the loft. We do not blame the home or the agency for this act if nature.
Overall good place to stay. Ice maker work but would not dispense. Had to turn braker on to get oven to work. Needs a few new nonstick skillets, have not been taken care of,
Excellent space for gatherings but also individual space. Sleeping areas on different levels offered various choices for singles and couples. I have never seen a rental stocked so well, even baby gates, eating utensils, toys. Kitchen was stocked very well. Loved all the decks! Watched sunrise on one and sunset on another + an additional one. Hot tub was great and lovely ground floor patio area with chairs and tables. Bike paths right there. Ski equipment room and roomy garage. The communication was superb both before arrival, requirements, instructions and after.
We had a wonderful stay in Steamboat and this comfortable, well-outfitted home was a perfect complement to our trip. My husband, 70-yr-old mother, and 5-yr-old-daughter joined me for our spring break trip and there was plenty to meet all of our needs. We absolutely loved the town and community and had many adventures skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, making snowmen, going to gymnastics, story time at the local library, enjoying the hot springs, fantastic meals out every evening, and beautiful views from the living room of this home. We contacted the property manager for a couple of items and she was swift with her response and assistance. We will definitely come back in the future!
Hands down best option for large groups in Steamboat
First, the location is perfect. We are used to Breckenridge where we often have to drive a ways to get to the slopes and restaurants. This house feels private and is very quiet, peaceful, and what you want out of a mountain home, yet it is only four minute drive to restaurants. The house itself is huge with plenty of room to accomodate big groups. It is gorgeous and as pictured. We did have some issues with appliances - the washer didn't work, which made laundry challenging with all our outdoor activities. Candice did pay for laundry service and when the laundry was closed, the house service lady did the laundry herself. There were a few mishaps along the way, but Candice and Jessica truly did everything they could and it is certainly not their fault that the washer broke. As far as Steamboat goes, this was our first time and we loved it so much that I am literally looking for a job there. The town is no where near as crowded as Breckenridge and everything is so conveniently located. I was also pleased that grocery prices were reasonable. For activities, our family favorite was Strawberry hot springs. We also LOVED Saddleback ranch. We did a winter horse ride and snow tubing. And of course skiing. Trails were just as good as Breckenridge. The Steamboat Yampa airport is so easy to navigate that a child could do it and the airport staff were friendly- that's not something we see often in the big cities we are used to. Snowmobiling at Saddleback is also recommended. Comfy beds
Really enjoyed our one week stay at this lovely steamboat springs home. I loved how communicative the property manager was and the location canât be beat. The views of the mountains are beautiful and the hiking paths behind the home were fun to explore. We also walked to downtown which was only a 10 minute stroll. The layout of the house was ideal - one master on the 1st floor, two bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. We spent most of our time in the spacious kitchen making meals and eating on the balcony. Convenient location close to hot springs, breweries, playgrounds and shops. Fabulous stay!
So impressed with the level and quality of the entire location. The home was rustic, cozy and comfortable with room for all. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to serve a Thanksgiving meal including ham, and turkey with stuffing. The hot tub was very comfortable and user friendly. A bonus for us was the location. We could, sled, ski or cross country all at the hill up the block. We walked to old town in 15 minutes. It was the best ever and we hope to return sometime.
We were a group of eleven ladies from several different states that met in Steamboat for a long weekend. The property accommodated us well. The one drawback for our party was that the two women that shared the loft had to share the main floor bathroom. The stairs are treacheraous in the middle of the night. The views are spectacular and we loved the location! The property is close to town and walkable although the walk back is a bit steep. Overall, we all agreed that if we meet again in Steamboat we would stay here again. Thank you.
we enjoyed the stay very much. the house was spacious and had plenty of plates, cups glasses and siver ware and other sundries that made things easy. the location was very good.
One item that we were concerned about was the loft area which didn't seem very good (safe) for small children due to no railing at the top. A ittle heads up on that would help.
All and all a nice place with a lot of room and great views.
Loved everything about our stay. Candice was super great to work with. She was super friendly and responsive to all of my texts and emails. The view of the mountain from the living room and hot tub is unbelievable. We had nine adults and our 2 1/2 year old and had more than enough room for everyone to sleep and hangout comfortably. Little one went to bed downstairs and was comfortable and sleeping while the adults were upstairs still having a good time. There is plenty of space in the house so she was not bothered by the noise upstairs at all and slept comfortably. Canât say enough good things!
We loved this houseââ-so much space, fabulous view, short ride to downtown, walkable to Emerald Mountain trails, large dining table for meals/games, hot tub and huge mud room area for skis, boots, jackets, etc.
This home was perfect for our extended family gathering over Christmas and New Years. It was super clean and had all the things a rental house should. It's super close to town (and the mountain) and the house manager was super helpful and responsive! Amazing experience all around!
House was perfect for our group visiting Steamboat Springs for the 1st time. Just at the edge of town, convenient to all and house was in great condition. Loved it
Amazing location over looking downtown and the ski slopes. Easy 12min walk to downtown. Beautiful deck that face east and west. Plenty of hiking and biking right from the front and back door. Plenty of beds and space for visitors. Main floor is very cozy for cooking, chilling, and catching up
Would definitely come back
This is the best kitchen and dining set up we have have ever had at a VRBO. The house was beautiful and well supplied. The is no air conditioning, so our 90* days were hot. The steps up to the loft bedroom are extremely step and narrow. Caution is needed when using. There are several very nice outdoor areas. There were toys and books for younger kids. Our 4 year old especially loved the dinosaurs and books.
Great house for a large group as long as stairs are not an issue for anyone. Lots a sleeping options and very spacious.
No A/C, so plan on managing the heat and non-curtained windows in the main living space during the summer.
Property manager was very kind but limited with any options for the heat. The wildfire smoke made it more challenging yet. Needs a gas grill in the dry mountains. We couldnât grill
Outside as we were not willing to chance the fire danger of briquettes.
Overall, the house was clean but not the higher end accommodations we would have expected for the price.
Easy access to downtown.
