«Kalathas», notre maison récemment rénovée, est une maison individuelle de deux étages avec un toit en tuiles, située à seulement 8 minutes de la mer (à pied). Situé à la frontière d'un quartier paisible à Akroteri et offrant une vue magnifique, vous aurez la possibilité de profiter de magnifiques plages et de nombreuses activités à la campagne, mais aussi de la belle ville de La Canée. Il possède de grandes vérandas et un balcon au dernier étage, une décoration de qualité et une atmosphère chaleureuse. La maison est entièrement équipée et offre la possibilité d'avoir un barbecue
.Étage supérieur
1. Chambre avec lit king-size, fenêtre et véranda offrant une vue magnifique sur les montagnes ainsi que sur la mer. Parquet et grandes armoires
2. Chambre avec un lit king-size, 2 grandes fenêtres avec vue sur l'est et les montagnes Blanches, de grandes armoires au sol en bois et un bureau (bureau)
3. Salle de bain avec bain spacieux.

Rez-de-chaussée
1. Espace ouvert sur deux niveaux: a) hall avec bibliothèque et salon avec cheminée et b) cuisine / salle à manger avec accès à la véranda sud, salle à manger de la cour (avec barbecue et évier en pierre) et le jardin. Dans la zone il y a 2 bibliothèques, système de son, harmonium et jeux de table.
La cuisine / salle à manger a un réfrigérateur, une cuisinière électrique, un lave-vaisselle, plusieurs appareils électriques et est entièrement équipée pour la préparation de tous les repas.

We thoroughly loved our stay at Pete & Maria's. Pete communicated well, welcomed us, was hospitable, generous and attended well to us. Would stay here again and highly recommend their lovely home.

Bellissima villa

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 settimane nella splendida villa di Maria e Palagiotis e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La villa è curata nei minimi particolari ed è dotata di tutti i confort per un soggiorno piacevolissimo oltre le nostre aspettative. Ad accoglierci abbiamo trovato Palagiotis che ci ha fatto trovare frutta fresca, acqua, succhi di frutta e olio greco più una dispensa già dotata di spezie di tutti i tipi oltre per esempio a caffè, zucchero eccetera. Insomma, una bellissima accoglienza! Sempre Palagiotis , che approfitto per ringraziare ancora una volta, ci ha dato una serie di consigli su ristoranti, spiaggie e luoghi da visitare nei dintorni che ci sono stati utilissimi! Che dire ancora, porteremo a lungo nel cuore le nostre serate al fresco della veranda a goderci le stelle in compagnia di Micia una gattina che ha deciso di adottarci e che ci ha rimesso in contatto con le belle sorprese che la natura sa darci. Grazie Maria, grazie Palagiotis da tutti noi!

Everything we needed

We spent a very nice week in this house. A lot of space, nice views from different parts of the house and everything we needed to cook. The closest beach is at the same time one of the nicest in the area and many short trips to monateries, beaches, gorges, and Chania fo course are possible in 30-40 minutes car drive.

Crete stay

Great family home. Large and spacious house for everyone to have their own area. Quiet location. Easy communication with the host, Panagiotis, for any questions or requests. The house was clean and completely stocked with all the essentials. Beautiful front and back yard. Car rental is a must. Easy drive to the beach. Easy drive to Chania and the old port. Our stay was wonderful.

Crete Getaway

House was well appointed, with all amenties. Great for 6-8 guests. Panogianitis greeted us with fresh fruit and juices. Helped us with maps and planning short jaunts. Very cordial and accommodating! Home is secluded but located close to Chania and Mounoupindiana. Near to beaches and good restaurants, shops. We took a boat tour from Chania to private beaches and secluded island.

Vakantie Kalathos huis Panagiottis

Een superfijn huis. Sfeervol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Zeer zeer goed verzorgd. Bij aankomst een gevulde koelkast voor de eerste levensbehoeften. Een zeer gastvrije eigenaar die ook zeer zorgzaam is. Enige minpuntje is de overvliegende straaljagers die een paar keer per dag overvliegen. Verder een superfijne plek

First time a house is better than the pictures (and the owner is the BEST!)

As per my title, this was the first time I've found a property to be much better than the photos on the website. All the property was in excellent condition, everything that was indicated in the announce on the website was true, and overall I can't praise enough both the house and the owner. On our arrival we've been welcomed in person by Panos, who left for us some local olive oil, wine and raki (a local spirit), and also a fridge full of drinks, fruit (including a huge watermelon!), and a lot of other things. Twice a week he came to clean the house and change towels and sheets. Finally, he gave us a lot of excellent information on places to visit and restaurants, which where all great. All in all, it was practically a perfect holiday!

Excellent stay, also for families - highly recommended

We had a great time at this beautiful house! The property is in excellent condition, very well maintained, spacious and well equipped. The host was readily available to support with anything we needed and the location of the property is great as well: situated only a few minutes drive from various family-friendly beaches, supermarkets and nice taverns. I would happily stay here again! Highly recommended.

Very spacious, comfortable, well equipped, clean house located close to Kalathas beach

Our family of 5 adults really enjoyed our holiday in Kalathas! The house was much larger than the pictures may suggest and exceptionally clean. Paniagotis was extremely helpful and ensured he could do everything possible to make our stay memorable, like providing basic provisions for when we arrived and fruit gifts when he came to clean and change linen etc (there were 4 beach sun umbrellas available for our use at the house too). Two large outside eating tables, one adjacent to the built in BBQ and the other to the front of the property provided a good variety, not to mention the large swing chair plus a smaller table under the veranda by the kitchen door that was ideal to sit at to catch the morning sun when having a brew! The sandy beach in Kalathas is fine with a small cafe and sunbeds that can be rented but we enjoyed the adjacent, adjoining cove that had less people. The sun sets across the bay so its a great place to catch the last of the days rays whilst having a swim or reading a book. I'd recommend having a car to get about. (house is only 20mins from the airport) There is a local mini market 2 min walk from the house which is useful for basic provisions but the larger super markets in Kounoupidiana (2 miles away) were much more reasonably priced with a greater selection. Chania town is a 20min drive away. Local driving standards and kamikaze motorcyclists can make for interesting journeys! The Old town is very quaint but busy with tourists and traffic can be congested and finding parking can be a challenge. We found an underground car park on Peiraios St (by the Old Town wall Siavu Rampart) only a quick walk from there into the old town sites. The supermarket above the car park is a good one and gives 2hr free parking if you spend 20euros. We ate at Bourkakis in Kournoupidiana and Irene Tavern in Chorofakia (cash only). Both were really good family run traditional greek food restaurants and very reasonably priced. We felt they were much better value than eating in the Old Town. We visited Elafonisi (2hr drive) and Balos beaches. Both spectacular. A couple of watchouts! Balos is not easy to get to!. There is a half hour drive from the entrance to the National Park area on an unmade steep rutted track and then a mile downhill walk of a narrow path to get to the beach (horse rides down and up can be bought). Get there early! A local cruise ship arrives at 2pm & unloads a 1000+ passengers who swarm across the lagoon! We all loved our hols!
