Amazing place, perfect for our visit!

The villa was exactly as expected, perfect! The location is a bit remote but we loved it. Very close to the Red Beach! If we ever return we will stay here again. The caretaker took excellent care of us and even secured a rental car that was delivered an hour after our arrival. It is truly a beautiful home.

Most relaxing girls trip

We could not believe how peaceful and beautiful the villa was! Such a delight to find this hidden gem. Our group was glad to not be in the busier areas, and we would definitely recommend this home for a future stay. Plenty of space for 5 or 6 people. Thank you for a wonderful place to call home for the week!

The Villa was even more beautiful in person than it was in the pictures. It was immaculate and in perfect repair. Management was responsive and easy to communicate with. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

I would say everything is perfect, if I may add one thing it is to make the outside dining area more shady in the morning so that we can have breakfast outside.

Santorini without crowds

Very private and peaceful location, short driving distance to a variety of attractions. Website pics and details provide a really good description of the house and its location. Be prepared for driving on a short stretch of very narrow and curvy roads to get to the house - same for accessing local beaches, with narrow, curvy and steep access roads but probably one of the most pictures beaches. 20 to 40 minutes to Fire and Oia, 15 mins to Perissa Beach.

Amazing Villa in quiet Akrotiri

Illusion Villa was a gem that I was lucky to find on Santorini for our family of six. The villa was incredible and the outside patio gardens, hot tub and barbecue were amazing. We were far away from the huge crowds, but were able to travel easily to the far side of the island to see the famous sunset and then come back and relax with the family in our hot tub with peace and quiet. There’s a cute little town within walking distance that we were able to get groceries, food and treats at. We also walked to the archaeological site and Red beach, although that may be a hike for some. The check in process and communication were excellent. The property manager or Penny would respond in seconds to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this villa for any family who wants to spend quality time together without all the hustle and bustle of crowds.I hope we are able to go back to Illusion Villa again sometime!

Oasis in Akrotiri

We spent three weeks in Greece and five nights in Santorini. The Blue Villa was a welcome oasis as we continued to discover the beautiful island of Santorini, including the historical area of Akrotiri. There are plenty of things to do on this end of the island if you take the time to plan and get away from the crowds. Communication and check in were easy and tailored to our travel schedule. The villa itself is perched on a hill, and easy to find with navigation. It truly feels secluded with the high walls and spacious grounds, including the vibrant pink bougainvillea. The interior was equally beautiful with its charming blue shutters and eclectic decor. Our first evening was spent sipping wine under the full moon in the spa and watching the light and sailboats dance on the ocean Lodging was not far from the village where we had some great coffee drinks as we waited for a volcano tour shuttle to the main port at the local mini mart. After a day of touring and sunshine we had a fabulous seafood dinner near the local harbor. You won’t be disappointed with the booking of the peaceful Illusion Blue Villa.

Paradise land !

This place is a must to be our arrival was really well planned and we had a great time in illusion villa. This is the best place to have in Santorini to get some rest without crowd…. Penny and Aris are kind and close to Pere ce too to arrange your vacation, well this is a 10/10 notation 🙂

Très belle semaine de vacances dans la villa Illusion

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison. Ari le manager a été disponible dès que nous faisions appel à lui. Il s'est occupé de réserver une location de voiture, les différents transferts, de changer le parasol cassé... Il nous a arrangé sur l'heure du départ... Merci beaucoup Ari pour votre disponibilité. Le ménage est fait tous les 2 jours ce qui est un vrai plus. Le petit bémol (d'où les 4 étoiles) concerne la 3ème chambre en mezzanine. Nous étions 6, elle avait donc vraiment une utilisation comme une chambre et malheureusement il n'était pas possible de faire le noir complet dans la pièce de vie (il manque des volets aux petites fenêtres) et il n'y avait pas non plus de climatisation (la climatisation est uniquement dans les deux autres chambres)... nous étions donc réveillés de bonne heure par le jour et la chaleur. Cela reste cependant une très belle location de vacances à Santorin !

Awesome place

We truly enjoyed our stay in this house. Before our arrival Penny was very responsive and of a great help to recommend companies for the activities we wanted to have. A greek chef came to the house and prepare a wonderful dinner for us (Chef Giannis). The recommendation for the cruise was also awesome. Then during our stay Aris' support was outstanding. The house is as described. Ideal for 4 but it was six of us and sleeping on the mezzanine is not great as the A/C does not go there. But the fan did help a lot. I definitively recommend this house. We has awesome vacation.

Lovely home in quiet end of island

We spent a week on the island of Santorini. Illusion Villa was lovely. Excellent communication with Aris, the property manager who suggested different excursions and was ready to help with any need. Sunrises were amazing. Multiple outside spaces for relaxing and enjoying the view. Akrotiri is on the south end of the island and away from crowded Oia and Fira. Markets and tavernas within a short walk. Sunset from the Akrotiri lighthouse is amazing.

Beautiful Villa

4 stars instead of 5 because i had trouble reaching the property manager prior to our stay. i tried messaging via VRBO a month before our stay, then again a week before our stay, then again a few days before our stay. i emailed, called (cell doesn't accept incoming calls!) and then messaged via facebook. i did finally hear back and communication was great while at the villa. beautiful & quiet location away from crowds. my only complaint about the villa is there was no electric clothes dryer but maybe there isn't room for one. i also recommend cutting back the cactus at the entry as it's easy to brush against it coming in with luggage or shopping bags. overall, great place to stay & we enjoyed it.

santorini fun

we stayed here because it was a cool looking villa we loved it for the serenity we only had 2 days but had we more we could hv walked into town and down a winery we didn't spend as much time at the villa as i hoped but while we were there we did enjoy one night in the hot tub (5 of us at one point!) aris was a great onsite host - always quick to reply day or night - and penny as well - prior to arrival! went to a cute restaurant called delphinia i think (dolphin something) ehich was amazing. supposedly there is a great local restaurant by the lighthouse too - we didn't have time to get there but definitely try to as well as hiking the red beach area catamaran trip to the volcano and around the caldera and hotsprings also recommended was about $50 or so euros each in may - the views while boating thru the caldera were amazing! a great way to view Thira and Oia

Great house in Santorini!

Wonderful! Exceeded our expectations! No AC in the living area/loft, but nice AC in the bedrooms and leaving the doors open cools the house. The manager was great and even rescued us when we locked ourselves out of the house! 5 stars!

Great stay in Santorini

Illusion Villa in Santorini was a great house for our family vacation. If you are looking for a private and quite location near Akrotiri, then this is a great spot. The house was clean, well maintained and comfortable. You can walk down to the small town of Akrotiri where there are a few small shops and restaurants or go anywhere else on the island by car. We had 3 teenage children and there was plenty of room in the house and patio to spread out and relax. The only downside as others have mentioned is the loft is warm due to the AC units being located in the bedrooms, another unit is really needed in the main/loft area of the house. Aris is the house manager and he was there to greet us and gave many great recommendations. We really liked the Red beach in Akrotiri, the Black beach in Perivolos and Caldera Beach in Akrotiri next to Remezzo’s. The black sand gets really hot in the sun, so it is better to go early. The hot tub was also very nice and we used it in the evenings, but the house would be perfect if there was a plunge or infinity pool for when it is very hot during the afternoon. Overall it was a great place!

Can’t say anything but positive things about this rental. We enjoyed every minute. Property manager and Aris were so helpful and patient with all my inquiries. Place was great! Quiet and away from the town. Porch view of the sea made a relaxing atmosphere. Host was great, and was overly flexible with check in and check out times, made a great stay even better.

Great spot

We absolutely loved this villa. Away from the busy areas of the island, but with a wonderful quaint downtown area with great restaurants (check out Theofanis). We loved the comfort, solitude and views from the front deck. Aris was absolutely amazing as onsite property manager helping us out... great guy!! We had a rental vehicle, so we could visit all parts of the island with little trouble. Catamaran cruise is a must and most boats go out from a harbour very close by. We had a private chef come in and cook for us which was amazing. Illusion Villa helped give our stay a true Greek feeling. Perfect setup for 2 couples with separate bedrooms & bathrooms on each end of Villa.

A little gem

The villa is just stunning with everything you could possibly need, it was extremely clean and comfortable and the air con in the downstairs bedrooms is very welcoming. The location is superb, set on a hill with stunning views of the sea, the outside space is great and the jacuzzi was so welcoming after sitting in the sun. It’s a short walk to the village where there is an excellent supermarket and several taverna’s. Aris, the caretaker is brilliant and was so very helpful with organising transport, a really lovely guy. The bedding was changed twice during our one week stay and the villa cleaned. We would love to return.
