This gite was perfect for our holiday, it is in a fabulous location, quiet but close (5 minutes) to a large town but in a beautiful rural setting. Lots of attractions nearby, amusement parks for the children, great beaches and close enough to the Normandie D Day sights should you feel like a day trip. The hosts were excellent, attentive when required but otherwise left us to enjoy our break. If you need a gite with plenty of space for a disabled guest, then this is your place!
Lovely place, large garden area (field!) outside of the door. Town is a couple of minutes drive, has McDonald's, lidl, Market.
Cooking utensils, microwave and everything else you could need.
Lovely owners, gave us ideas of where to go if we wanted to go out fir the day.
Well appointed, everything required for a wheelchair user. Comfortable living room. Friendly informative hosts live next door with 2 friendly wee dogs that came to visit daily. Kitchen scraps fed to the chickens and goats added to our enjoyment.
The gite is a good position for visiting Normandy, Northern coast is achievable too.
SkÞn feriebolig med masser af plads til familien - og de engelske vÊrter bor next door. Autentisk og hyggelig atmosfÊre udenfor lille landsby. Dyr pÄ gÄrden og stor have med grÊsplÊne og numighed for grill.
A good house in a quiet surrounding and also for someone with a handicap a pleasant home. You have a bathroom with al the facility's you need and enough space to move with a wheelchair of rollator.
Beautiful rustic converted barn . Wonderful out door space . Ideal for children.
We had a wonderful time and we loved the animals . James and Julie we friendly and welcoming. The lower level was very accessible for my son's wheelchair unfortunately the shower was not due to the design. Toilet ideal . Top tip take a portable shower chair . It's fine if you are not confined to a wheelchair. Definitely wI'll be returning. But will be bringing fly spray as they were a pain due to heat and animals but can't be helped
Hi,
We stayed here for 10 nights in mid June 2018. As a party of four, all comfortably over 60,we were looking for a peaceful, quiet holiday. We got it,in bucketfulls, and i doubt if there are better hosts than James and Julie Foster. It is 7 minutes to the the supermarket,a good sized LeClerc, where we stocked up every couple of days. We loved it,and it worked out very well for my wife, who is wheelchair bound with Parkinsons. As for the weather,we had sun, sun, and more sun every day-not one drop of rain. We will be backBob,Frances,Sheila and Phyllis.
Good clear instructions to find Gite from Owners.
It was clean and tidy and suited our needs with the owners very close by if needed.
Disappointed that the local restaurant with the great reviews was closed so we will have to return to try it again!
Thanks for the loan of a bike too which we used every day when we were out and about.
Becky B.

We are young family who decided to emigrate to enjoy a new way of life. We have 2 daughters 16 and 12, who love meeting new people. James is a builder and I teach English at the local primary school. We love food, gardening cooking and socialising. We are always available to help you achieve the best from your holiday; to advise on what to see, do, and experience while you're here. We are all fluent French speakers, should any problems arise during your stay, rest assured, we can be there for you. As a family we will go that extra mile.
Our desire to see our children grow in the country, in safety with the dream of eventually being self-sufficient food wise, was the driving force behind our decision to move here.
Les Cours is the perfect holiday destination if you enjoy peace and quiet and like "getting away from it all" But still want to have easy access to all the usual amenities that a lively town can offer. We are on the borders of Brittany and Maine with easy access to the Motorway. From here you cant head directly to Avraches, Caen, Rennes and Paris.
There are several Greenways in proximity for hikers and cyclists to enjoy. It is possible to cycle near to Le Mont saint Michel on these disused railway lines.
Whilst staying at Les Cours we can guarantee a peaceful stay where you can just relax and enjoy the view, visit many of the fabulous local tourist attractions or travel a little further afield and see the incredible Normandy beaches and the Bayeux Tapestry for example. Be aware that an hour's drive in France, does not in any way resemble an hour's drive in the UK. The roads are a pleasure to use with the absence of traffic.
