À propos de cet hébergement

C'est un loft bohémien vivant pour deux personnes à la recherche d'un sanctuaire tranquille mais avec toutes les commodités de la côte ouest de la Barbade à proximité et une courte promenade vers une belle plage où nous avons des chaises longues privées; unique avec sa terrasse extérieure, il s’agit d’un séjour intérieur / extérieur idéal pour se détendre à la maison. Le loft dispose d'une grande chambre et d'une salle de bain surdimensionnée avec deux lavabos.

La route côtière et les arrêts de bus sont à proximité, ce qui vous permettra d’accéder facilement à Holetown (5 minutes) et à Speightstown (10 minutes) en voiture ou en bus. Ou 15 minutes à pied le long de la plage et de la promenade. 3 minutes à pied des magnifiques plages de la côte ouest du pavillon royal et de la barrière de corail.

Mangez dans le grand choix de restaurants ou préparez-vous à manger à la maison et détendez-vous sur la terrasse.

Le propriétaire habite au-dessous du loft, il est ici pour vous rencontrer et vous saluer si vous êtes sur l'île et pour vous guider vers les parties les moins touristiques de l'île.

Le quartier / la route de Glitter Bay Terrace étant résidentiel et calme, je demande aux gens de respecter nos voisins et, pour cette raison, nous demandons aux clients de ne pas ramener les gens au loft pour les divertir. est juste pour être apprécié par deux personnes. Nous demandons qu'après 22 heures, il n'y ait pas de bruit fort et, bien sûr, pas de fêtes ou d'événements.

Si vous souhaitez associer votre séjour au sud de l'île, la propriétaire vous recommande son autre bien, un chalet à Silver Sands.

Spacious, comfortable and convenient!

We had a lovely stay at Melissa’s upstairs apartment. It was great to have so much space to ourselves in a great spot a short walk to the beach. The pass to the Fairmont beach club made all the difference in the quality of our stay.It was a pleasure to meet Melissa, after a little confusion about the location. The apartment is showing its age a little, but we certainly had everything we needed.Thanks for a wonderful introduction to Barbados!

I want to start this review by saying that I would book this flat again in a heartbeat (and likely will in the future). Melissa is an amazing host - kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and communicative. She pre-arranged a taxi to take me from the airport to the flat and helped me feel right at home. While there, she took me to a yoga/gong bath evening under the full moon, brought me to a local coffee shop on the beach, and responded promptly anytime I needed something. The flat is large and would be perfect for two people (even though I was there solo and am a homebody, so it worked great for me). I was also given access to the Fairmont’s beach club (a very short walk from the flat), which was lovely. Getting around by bus is as easy as it gets. There are bus stops very close to the flat and a ton of them throughout the island. I took the yellow minibuses everywhere for $3.50 Barbadian dollars ($1.75 USD) and the frequent buses make it super easy to explore the island or even just run to the grocery store. I never once felt unsafe and grew to enjoy the bus rides. The unit has a washing machine (make sure to buy some liquid detergent) and every kitchen appliance you can imagine (there’s even an air fryer and a Nutribullet!). It is the perfect flat for a long-term stay. I have almost no suggestions. I would maybe include extra beach towels but really, that’s all I can think of. All in all, I cannot recommend Melissa’s flat highly enough. I had an absolutely wonderful stay.

Beautiful loft stay in Barbados

We had a lovely stay at the loft. The space is so large and beautiful it feels very spacious and the terrace is a great space for evenings and meals. Everything is close by and the bus goes just 5 minutes walk away from the house which can take you to Holetown or Speightstown. The beach beds at the royal pavilion are a fantastic benefit and it means you have beache beds less than 5 minutes away. You also get 10% off food and drinks with the beach club card. I would highly recommend staying here and we’d love to come back. Wonderful space, location and host.

Authentic Barbados Living

The Loft is a really large apartment with a lovely airy feel due to high ceilings and windows with full mosquito screens that allow you to leave open without the flys getting in. The bed was very comfy and the fan and A/C kept us cool at night. The kitchen was large and clean with an array of equipment to make life easy. The lounge was relaxing and i was able to watch uk football games which was a bonus. Mellisa is very welcoming and lives below and she was always helpful with places to go and she gave us a pass to the Fairmont hotel which we used everyday and it made the holiday that bit extra special. Buses outside are frequent and you can be in Holetown or Speightown in 10mins enjoying great restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again. Steve & Sharon.

Characterful, spacious first floor apartment

The Loft met and exceeded our expectations for a self-catering vacation close to the beautiful west coast beaches of Barbados The accommodation, comprising the upper floor of a detached villa, is very spacious and airy with a large covered terrace for outside dining and relaxation. The complimentary Beach Club membership at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion (5 minutes walk) is a great bonus, giving access to beach, sunbeds and hotel facilities. The proximity to the main road is convenient for public transport (Reggae bus) to Holetown, Bridgetown and Speightstown but road noise can be a bit intrusive at busy times. The host, Melissa, was very helpful both before and during our stay.

Brilliant few days at Glitter Bay Terrace

A return visit to this wonderful loft apartment, a few mins stroll to Alleynes Bay and the wonderful beaches there. JuJu, Juma, Lonestar or the Fairmount Beach Club are right there for lunch or dinner and you’re 5 mins on the bus to Holetown. One of our favourite spots on the island. Lovely Stay

Wonderful base for our week on the West Coast. Large, comfortable apartment with a superb balcony. Delightful hostess. 5 minute walk to the beach club, 20 minutes to Holetown. Plenty of buses close by heading north and south along the coast. What not to like?

Beautiful setting on West Coast

Up market bohemian type loft apartment . Very airy and spacious, with large outside terrace, but with sun only late afternoon. Sun all day is provided with a free beach club membership within a five minute walk with all your needs, beds, sun umbrella etc. provided free.

Paradise!

We feel so lucky to have found this little slice of paradise. The property is a great hideaway and so close to what we think is the best beach in Barbados. Within easy reach of a variety of places to eat and drink and also very well equipped to cook at home. We highly recommend the Loft and will most definitely be returning! Lovely spacious apartment

We had a fantastic week staying in the loft. It is a big airy space with a lovely terrace that is in shade for most of the day. The fans and the breeze kept the terrace and apartment cool. Everything you need for catering at home, there are plenty of restaurants close by but they are fairly pricey. Lovely beach just over the road and a great beach bar. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent time, Excellent Host

We stayed for a few days at Melissa's loft and had a great time. All the photos on the site are accurate, no surprises Spacious upstairs loft with brilliant outside terrace for relaxing in the day and evening. Large bathroom, great shower, air conditioned bedroom (made sleeping comfortable during a vey hot week). Melissa was great to deal with throughout, helped hook us up with 'Dave' for airport transfers (including stop to pick up supplies on arrival) and locally arranged car hire. We were greeted on arrival and shown around. The location is just outside Holetown (an easy walk or short cab), very accessible to the range of restaurants, shopping, coffee, bank, bars, local live music. We made use of the Fairmont beach club membership (also just up the road), great beach and perfect for ocean swimming. Exactly what you expect and hope for from a great Home Away location. 5 night stay

The Loft was perfect for our stay and very spacious. We loved sitting on the porch which was huge. The shower was really good. The wifi was excellent. There are fly screens on all the windows so it was possible to open them and enjoy the breeze without mossies coming in. It was very quiet and had no problem with noise from traffic as the property is slightly back from the road. It was very easy getting buses to Bridgetown or Speightstown. We walked to Holetown a quite a few times which took about 20 mins. The sun loungers the club were very good and that was a definite plus as far as we were concerned as we wouldn't have wanted to carry stuff to the beach. It was a very short walk there. Melissa was available to message and always got back to us very quickly even though she wasn't on the island. Her taxi driver Dave was very good picking us up from the airport and then taking us to our next accommodation. Thanks Melissa

Everything and More!!!

The Green Tara Loft is simply amazing. It has everything you could need and then some. We enjoyed cooking a few meals in the kitchen and all of the pots and pans are top of the line. The Loft is so spacious and really is luxurious. We enjoyed the porch the most. The trees (especially the mango tree) and flowers make you feel secluded and are the most beautiful scenery. The added bonus of having access to the royal pavilion was great! We enjoyed the sun beds and snorkeling right off the beach. It’s a 5 minute walk on the beach to JuJu’s beach bar. Their food is amazing and you can sit on the beach and watch the sunset. It’s about a 10 minute walk to Holetown. We did not rent a car and just got around by walking and taking the bus. We found many great restaurants in Holetown. Our favorite was Sitar, and Indian restaurant. This property is just so great and it’s location is perfect! And Melissa the property owner is probably the nicest person. She was very helpful and gave us great advice of where to go, places to eat, and where to find the best rum punch! She provided everything and more that we needed. She even helped us arrange for transportation from the airport. I highly recommend this property! I wish we could have stayed longer. Now we just need to plan our niece visit to the Green Tara Loft.

The Loft

We really enjoyed our stay at the Loft. We loved having the porch for morning coffee, afternoon drinks and dinner. The location is perfectly situated with the beach just a 5 minute walk (with great beach chairs) and with Holetown an easy walk or quick drive. The apartment is spacious and airy and having Melissa just below us was great. She went above and beyond to be a helpful, fun and gracious host in a truly authentic way.

Peaceful and private haven 5 mins from one of the loveliest stretches of beach on the West Coast

Green Tara loft apartments offer the best of both worlds....a huge apartment for two people with a wonderful shaded veranda together with membership of the Royal Fairmont Pavillion beach club 5 minutes walk away. Melissa was an attentive and discreet host and was very helpful with recommendations for car hire etc. The apartment had everything you could need and the number of windows and fans resulted in it being wonderfully cool. We didn't use the air con once. Holetown with all its facilities is only 5 minutes away by car or bus. I would recommend this apartment unreservedly.

Very spacious and unique apartment.

A lovely apartment with membership of the Fairmont Royal Pavillions Beach Club being a great bonus. An eclectically furnished loft with very large rooms and high ceilings, the height means that the breeze blows right through and we never needed to use the air con in the bedroom even at night. About five minutes walk from the beach and five minutes drive to Holetown meant that it was an ideal base for our two week break. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance and Melissa was a great host and source of information. I’d recommend putting more detail of the loft’s facilities such as the two walk in wardrobes and the massive shower which were extremely useful. Overall the loft was very clean and comfortable. We may be back!

Outstanding property and location

First trip to Barbados I was pleasantly surprised with the house. Very clean spacious and with all the facilities to make our stay enjoyable. The location was great close to restaurants shops and most important the beach. The host was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. I would love to return and recommend to anyone visiting Barbados

A spacious, well-equipped and attractive loft apartment

Green Tara is ideally placed to access the beach and the neighbouring area of Holetown and Speightstown. The two beach beds at The Fairmont Royal Pavilion are a huge assset to the property as they alllow comfortable acces to a stunning beach. The well-equipped kitchen makes eating in an easy option.

I live in London but have been coming to Barbados for 25 years so consider both places home. When i am not in one i have to rent the other ; so i have always made sure that the properties are worth sharing and for others to enjoy too .

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I love both sides of the island but Porters is near Holetown and not far from Speightstown. Its close to the West coast night life and restaurants but far enough away to maintain some peace and quiet.
