The cottage was in a perfect location for us, very peaceful, not overlooked, with a garden nurtured with love and vision. We had 4 weeks and enjoyed every day very much. Generous and caring hosts. We will return
-ruhig gelegenes Haus in zweiter Reihe an der StraĂe zwischen Skopelos und Stafilos
-zu Fuss ca. 20 Minuten zum Strand in Stafilos und ca. 15 Minuten zum nÀchsten Supermarkt
-Haus liegt schön gelegen in einem Garten (u.a.
Christina cottage is a lovely detatched building, with a comfy living space, kitchen, bathroom and mezzanine bedroom. The outside space includes comfortable seating options, where you could easily spend a day relaxing. Mina and Kostas were excellent hosts, collecting us from the ferry and providing good local knowledge, and where very friendly! Stafylos is a 20 minute walk, and the bus can collect you nearby if you want to get to skopelos. Id highly recommend this accomodation for couples seeking a quiet, romantic get away.
We were absolutely delighted with Christina Cottage, which is set back from another property owned by the family, down a pretty lane amongst olive trees and a delightful garden. Loungers, chairs and hammocks are provided for guests to relax in the garden, which you have exclusive use of. The cottage is well provided with a good sized kitchen, bathroom (the washing machine was a real bonus for us), sitting area a large (and new) double bed upstairs on the mezzanine area. The cottage has airconditioning but we found that due to the design of the cottage (high ceilings) it was cool enough even in August without it.
The location is excellent as it is both peaceful and near to amenities - c. 10 minutes by car or bus to Skopelos town and within walking distance to Stafylos beach and taverneras. Terpsis Restaurant was our favourite.
By far the best thing about our stay was the warm hospitality we recieved from Kostas, Mina and thier daughter, Irene (we briefly also met Christina, Mina and Kostas' eldest daughter) . Kostas was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the port and Mina had prepared for us marmalades and fruit in syrup from her garden. We would definitely recommend Christina Cottage (if you are looking for a peaceful holiday) and hope to return in the near future.
(emails and questions about booking answered very quickly by Mina).

Simply perfect! The Christina Cottage is placed quite far from the main house, surrounded by olive trees. A nice Patio is in the fron of the houe, where have a Relaxing breakfast and tasty dinners. Householders are perfect! I recommend Christina Cottage to everybody who love peaceful and relaxing places
Christina Cottage more than lived up to its description. Set away from the road and surrounded by olive and walnut trees - perfect for lazing in a hammock, listening to the distant tinkling of goats' bells.
Everything about the cottage was well equipped and clean - kitchen, bathroom, towels and bedding. MIna came in to clean every few days. The kitchen is more than adequate for cooking 'proper' meals.
Mina and Kostas were kindness itself, and always attentive to our needs, from the very first when they met us from the ferry. And it was fun to watch Kostas harvesting the walnuts.
A hire car is a good idea. The cottage is well placed for exploring the island, and the well-stocked supermarket is only a mile away.
A lovely place.
At the end of a garden filled with Flowers, Olive Trees, Walnut Trees and surrounded by wandering Goat Herds, Christina Cottage is set back about 100 meters from the Road between Skopelos Town and Stafylos Beach. The only threat to Peace, Quiet and tranquillity are the Cicadas which are amazing and Goat Bells.
The Cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's located about a mile from the Beach with 3 good Tavernas on route and two miles from Skopelos town in the other direction. There's a well stocked large Supermarket about a mile along the way.
It's possible to survive without a car, Mina and Kostas are more than happy to pick you up from the Port but it's well worth hiring a car even if only for a few days to discover some of the other charms of this delightful island. There is a regular Bus service from here to both Stafylos and Skopelos Town although we walked most days to the Beach which is very clean (pebble and sand - Umbrella and 2 Sunbeds at 6 euros a day) with a nice bar and lovely sheltered bay with Backdrop for simply wallowing in.
We would also highly recommend a day out from the Port in a Sailing Boat to Alonissos. We went with Vasily and his dog Pirate. The nearby fishing village of Agnodas is also a beautiful spot to watch the Sunset from one of the Beach front Tavernas .
We would recommend Villa Christina and the island of Skopelos to family and friends. Approximately 15 minute walk to the closest beach, and 3km from the town of Skopelos, so ideal location really. What a beautiful and lovingly maintained little cottage! We stayed at Villa Christina on our honeymoon, and had the most lovely time, it is an easy place to relax with such beautiful surroundings. The island of Skopelos is magical; full of flora and fauna, mountainous pine forests, the distant jingle of goats bells, honey bees, crystal clear Aegean Sea, beautiful beaches, an abundance of lovely food and some really picturesque places to eat by the beach, live greek music, and a romantic town with winding streets and whitewashed houses with blue shutters and flowers growing absolutely everywhere. It really is paradise island! And possibly the friendliest place known to mankind! Enjoy.
