Great location, horrible service

The condo is large and very nice. The property management co is just awful. The space was not clean: hair in showers, floor, dirty dishes filled the dishwasher, black mold in bath jets, hand prints all over sliding doors, toilet paper dispenser ripped off wall and left there, dust so thick I could write in it. Also no top sheets on beds, just bottom sheet with bedspread. All messages to property manager were ignored. Wouldn’t give me number code to pool. Construction noise every day from 9a-5p we were there, so loud you couldn’t hear tv. I think it was a jackhammer. I would never rent anywhere that Palmetto Vacation Rentals is operating ever again. Even after our stay, they’re still ignoring my messages. Zero stars for them.

I definitely plan to book this for our next visit. The only negative I have is when I booked it was after hours and it took 2 days for me to reach someone at the number provided on the website. The lady I spoke with was very nice but it took too long to get someone on the phone I had to literally go through each extension until someone answered.

Dirty, malfunctioning keys/door, poor service, pull out yucky

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon our arrival to the rental office, the rental secretary on duty was rude, abrasive, and very abrupt. She rudely stated that we cannot use the bathroom because someone else ruined it. She stated that she knew our room was not ready without even knowing our names. When asking about different brochures and extracurricular activities she went on to tell me that she did not know and couldn’t possibly know since she was somewhat new to the area. While multiple guests were waiting she decided to put a sign on the door that said one party at a time, but she did not enforce that. When I was at the desk speaking to her another gentleman came in and she proceeded to help him instead. Once the manager came out we were able to remedy the situation and get the keys to our room. I then asked if we needed a pool pass or pool key since the directions stated that. Both assured us that we did not. We proceeded to Margate Circle and learned the following: The keys did not fit the door, we needed a pool pass to gain access to the property at night and to get back in from the beach or pool, once we were able to gain access to the property it was not vacuumed, floors were dirty and sticky, tables and surfaces were not wiped, showers had mildew in them, the pull out couch had no bedding and also had a blood stain and black hole in it along with seeds/food. We had to rig the door, leaving it partially unlocked so that we could exit and enter the property. We left several messages and text messages to try and remedy the door situation. We were left to either leave someone at the property at all times or risk items being unsecured. The next day we had to wait four hours before someone came to fix the door or the keys. The attempt was unsuccessful and the technician believed that we were not given the correct keys. About a day or so later another technician came and used black liquid to gain access and helped “fix” the keys.

Our condo was very large and enough space for the 5 of us, however it took forever for the water to get warm. please get rid of those fake plants(all in the way). Spectrum was a nightmare. We spent too much of our precious time trying to program tv's. The free internet log in info was no help at all, causing me to resort to making my phone a hotspot. the teflon pots were scratched. These were the only negative issues. We hated to leave. We brought our own cookware, but everything else was well supplied.

Wedding disaster

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My gripe came with checking in. Went to the check inspot at Mayfair only to find out the place was not ready. I went back to my hotel, and when I got there I received a text saying it was now available for check in. As a result I missed my granddaughter's rehearsal. The woman at check in was snippy and did not offer to check if the rental was ready. Before I went I tried to call, but got the message to call during regular business hours which was Monday thru Friday. I left my number, but there was no call back. They gave me the wrong internet connection information. The carpet in front of the sofa was a tripping hazard and my sister fell. The TV operation was difficult to use. You need to leave instructions for the operation of the TV. It was advertised to have a heated pool, but there wasn't one. I must say that the room was in a convenient location, and the view was superb. We had 8 adults, 2 room keys, and 1 pool pass. That was totally inadequate. The pull out sofa bed was a complete surprise.

Great property, not so much the management

The property and the unit were great place to stay! Property management was seldom existent. Late check in was good on Friday night. Realized I needed another pool key and sent email. Got an email reply that the company was only open Monday-Friday with only an after hours number for emergencies only. What vacation rental company would not be open on the busiest days for vacationers...Sat and Sun!?!? Very unprofessional business practice.

Great property, but maintenance noise

We enjoyed the property and the location. It is nice and right on the beach, but for two nights there was plumbing racket with pipes under pressure banging for two nights keeping us up, so we left and came home early.

Perfect 4th of July

This property was amazing. There were 4 adults and three small children. We had plenty of room, a beautiful view of the ocean and the fireworks are were amazing from the patio. Everyone was friendly. The cable service was a bit sketchy but who goes to the beach to watch tv...right? I would stay here and use VRBO any day of the week! Very pleased with everything

Great Stay

The property was in a great location and getting around was easy. The beach and pool access was exceptional. The only thing I would recommend for this property is upgrading the router for the Wi-Fi. Internet connection was hit or miss at times. Also there was only 1 hair dryer for 3 bedrooms. It was a great stay and the family and I had a tremendous time and will be back

Hello good afternoon. Our stay was wonderful we enjoyed it so much. the kids were so pleased to stay at the 🏹 the rooms so nice the place was so wonderful. Peaceful, to tell you the truth it was so amazing staying there. Hopefully next summer we gonna go back. kids loved the beach, pool, and go to the beach at 🌃 to 🔍 for seashells. Everything was all good. the entertainment, the malls lol.... But the only thing about it that the receptionists from the front desk from we were staying at they were looking at us like if they were racists white folks. (old lady and an old guy) because i told the lady from the front desk i told her were i could trough out the trash from upstairs in my room. she said you need to come downstairs in the lobby get out from the sliding door make a left all the way to the parking lot and you gonna see a trash bin. My sister in law said whattt..... The next day we were gonna go trough out the trash out we were heading out to the elevator and a morena (blk lady) she told us are you gu

the condo was fantastic! a little upset that we didnt have wifi the whole week because we didnt have good cell service. they did send someone to try to fix it but it still would not work. there was mold in one of the showers. other than that, our experience was a very good one! we will use Palmetto in the future!

We rented homes for 20 years now 1-3 times yearly This condo is perfect for 2-3 couples all having their own bath. the condo was clean with the exception of the exhaust vents in the washrooms. There were some stains in the carpet but wouldn't expect the home owner to replace the carpet. The location is perfect for golf, restaurants and you cant beat the view. It is tastefully decorated. We all agreed we would rent this condo again. Gary Ontario Canada

Nice but management company was horrible. Do not put a deposit down before reading the contract

You may want to select a owner run rental S this company is not responsive and they do not leAve any consumables for guest use. Not even cleaning supplies.
