CASA LIMAO est une maison moderne ( 2015) avec sa propre piscine (chauffage écologique via pompe à chaleur et pannaux solaires. A la terrasse il-y-a une table pliante avec des chaises, des sièges relax, un parasol et un barbecue fixe. Les 2 chambres à l'étage (avec 2 lits simples) disposent également d'une terrasse avec vue sur les environs. La chambre en bas dispose de 2 lits simples et donne sur la terrasse et la piscine. Il y a un lit bébé ou un lit pliant et une chaise haute disponibles. A l'étage, la salle de bain a une douche de plain-piedq, 2 lavabos, WC et bidet. La salle de bain en bas a 1 lavabo, une douche et WC. Il y a des distributeurs de savon et un sèche-cheveux / sèche-cheveux.
La cuisine moderne est équipée d'un réfrigérateur, d'un congélateur, d'un four, d'un micro-ondes, d'une cafetière, d'une bouilloire, d'un mixeur, de nombreux ustensiles de cuisine, des verres à eau, du vin, du champagne ... Il y a un lave-vaisselle, une laveuse / sécheuse intégrée, un séchoir et un fil à laver; fer + planche à repasser; vastes fournitures de nettoyage et aspirateur central.
Le salon a un grand canapé et 2 sièges séparés.
Il y a la climatisation dans toutes les chambres. En hiver, il y a le chauffage dans toutes les chambres via la climatisation ou l'électricité dans les salles de bains. Il y a WIFI GRATUIT, télévision par internet avec 200 chaînes européennes et internationales . Connexion pour ( votre) Chromecast.
Parking verrouillable pour 1 voiture.Parking pour d'autres voitures devant la maison, dans une rue sûre. 2 vélos de montagne / ville disponibles ( sur demande).

We spent a wonderful 9 nights here and we couldn’t have been happier. The property was perfect for us, spacious, well designed and with a wonderful pool. it’s in a great location which is quiet but it is close to lovely beaches and a beautiful medieval town called, Obidos which we fell in love with. We visited Lisbon which was an hour and 20 minutes away and had a fantastic day. We will definitely like to return. Thanks for a great stay!

Stay at Salir Do Porto

Lovely well equipped villa in a quite village location

The property was extremely spacious and comfortable. Very well equipped it had everything that met our needs. The only issue we had was the front door was a bit tricky to open. I would happily stay there again and would have no problem recommending the property.

Delayed arrival. Host was brilliant and was able to accommodate us for checkin. Villa was beautifully presented and immaculately clean and well equipped for our 2 week stay. Comfortable beds, spacious living areas and excellent pool area. Heated pool was great meaning it was useable even in early morning. Location quiet and safe with no noise. Walking distance to beach. Excellent range of Restaurants close by. Car recommended to explore the region and it is also only 5 minutes from motorway to access Lisbon, Porto and Peniche. Only returned from holiday and would definatly rebook again. Great communication with host and smooth checkout process. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Villa in a quiet location

This villa is exactly as the photos show.It is extremely well laid out and comfortable. The heated pool is absolutely brilliant and so enjoyable for everyone. Te area is quiet and a short walk to the beach or the local shops. Sao Martinho has a fantastic selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. Adilia was wonderful and helped us with all our queries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Salir de Porto and highly recommend it.

Excellent stay

We had been traveling in the Azores and mainland Portugal for multiple days. Casa Limao was the last stop on our vacation and it was so very nice. We took advantage of its location and did day trips to various sites within 1.5 hours. Nazaré was an easy drive for dinners or to walk the beach. We enjoyed the house and pool. Although the weather was cool during our visit, we still enjoyed the heated pool water. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals which we did as well as eating out. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were gorgeous. It was located in a quiet neighborhood so no outdoor noise to wake us like our stays in Lisbon or Porto. The check in process was easy and overall communication prior to our arrival was excellent. I highly recommend this property!

Myself and a group of friends enjoyed a lovely stay in Salir do Porto. The villa is relatively small, but is well laid out and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The location is a short distance from the small village and the nearest beach, but the pool is excellent. The local manager, Adilia, is friendly and very helpful The local area is beautiful and has many attractions in close proximity. A car is recommended to get the best from the villa. Overall, highly recommended.

Lovely modern property

We spent 10 days at Casa Limao and had a fabulous time. The property has a modern feel to it and is very clean and tidy with everything you could need. The kids appreciated the heated pool as the weather was quite cool for August. We had quite a bit of mist in the mornings whilst we were there but also plenty of sunshine most afternoons. There is small supermarket 5 minutes walk away and a few restaurants and cafes, with many more if you walk onto the main bay 30 minutes away in Sao Martinho do Porto where you will also find a larger supermarket. We used Uber quite a bit to get around which worked well. Overall a lovely stay, thank you Peter & Marilou and Adilia, the very helpful housekeeper! :)

Great place for family looking to drive around a cool location off the coast - kind owner

Owner is very kind and responsive. The local manager is kind also and speak English well. There was an issue for a day and half where our master shower was not working due to a missing piece so our family of five needed to use the smaller unit. Not a problem but just inconvenience. I had to be proactive in this communication but after the owner personally called and wanted to make sure the unit issue was addressed. They did get then handy man to come and fix it. Outside of this challenge, the unit is clean, close to great hiking, and owned/managed by kind people.

Excellent villa in a beautiful area

We had a fantastic stay and were very impressed by the area and the villa. We had plenty of space as a family of four and really enjoyed the pool area. We would highly recommend Portabello and Cafe Taberna in Sao Martinho: excellent meals at both of these restaurants. Just a few minor niggles prevent five stars: we weren't able to check in until 5:30 - not the 4pm advertised - because the property was still being cleaned. Although we were able to drop our luggage off and sit by the pool, we (and our young children) had been up since 3am for our early flight and were hoping for an afternoon nap! The pool wasn't cleaned until out final day (day 11) rather than the weekly clean advertised and we also didn't receive any clean towels or linen in our 12 day stay. Otherwise, a really enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of Portugal.

Hello Rachel, We are sorry to hear that some services were not completely correct. We contacted our local manager and she apologised for the later check in. ( 17pm instead of 16pm; because of a very buzzy day). We also contacted the pool company for not doïng the weekly cleaning, although we pay for this. We offer a fresh set of sheets and towels for every new week upon request. ( as written in the pink map with information for our guests.) Like in a hotel, you simply have to ask for this. From now on, Adilia will emphasize this at the "meet and greet". But sorry again. Peter and Marilou

Peter…thanks for your hospitality… we enjoyed ur property very much…indulged in all ur recommendations… you should be a travel advisor… 1 hiccup… main power inexplicably went out while we were visiting Obidos but it gave me the opportunity to meet ur neighbors who told us where the main power was & we switched it on…very nice people & I advised them you would be fluent in Portuguese the next time you saw them…the Mayor said his wife is fluent but I’m sure you know that… we left a sand chair & sun umbrella that we just purchased @ the beginning of our trip 6 weeks ago… moved on this morning for a couple of more weeks up north & Lisbon…only regret that the time was too short… next time we will stay longer…Marty

Not what was presented

The property had no hot water for 5 days. The heater in the main bathroom did not work the manger was notified it was not repaired. Construction all around, dirt dust and noise 6 days a week. AC unit in one bedroom off the wall. Pellet stove needs manually cleaning every 2 days a very dirty job on vacation or no heat your choice. Electrical issues with circuit breakers popping constantly. Outside patio door was left open before we arrived but shutters closed, villa would not heat up until we discovered this. After hot water was”repaired” only 1.5 showers (4 adults) could happen. Overall we felt the facility was over presented and under performed. Would not recommend to anyone.

Dear Ray, 1)We clearly understand your frustration: you arrived on Friday night and the hot water system was not working properly (although checked recently). Saturday morning the stainless steel barrel of 300 liters turned out to be broken and that was not in stock. It was not until Tuesday morning that an "emergency system" arrived that can supply 80 liters of hot water every half hour. (but you wanted 4 baths in a row). For the 5 days of inconvenience, we refunded 50% rent. 2) Unannounced, construction of a new street behind our house has started. Annoying, but nothing we can do about it. 3) There is good heating via heat pump in every room. For fun, we installed a pellet stove this winter, which you may use. Of course you have to empty the ashtray after a few days (1 minute work). 4) A few hours before the guests arrive, our Portuguese help opens 2 sliding windows ajar (with the shutters down) to ventilate the house extra. Is that also a defect? Understanding points 1 and 2. For the rest, we find your assessment very subjective. Sincerely, Peter and Marilou

Delightful

The property is lovely, had everything we needed and well located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed walking to the village centre for the mercado(great prices!) and local restaurant. Also had a beer in their centre! The pool is perfect, especially after a long day touring. Our only hiccup was the airconditioning. We only wanted to use the one in the main floor bedroom at night but on our first night when we turned it on it blew all the power in the house. (the electrical panel is by the front door under the woven hanging rug, there is a second panel on the second floor- recommend adding this to the welcome book) The owner did arrange for an electrician to come however of course it didn't blow the panel while he was there. That night we turned it on and again blew the power but this time after flipping the main switch back on the AC worked. Same the next night and on the last night we didn't blow the power. I think it had to do with the solar panels not being turned on but we were not given any instructions to do so, so just a tip for the next visitor.

Nice but not for me

Very easy to find location with GPS.You do need a car staying here as not much near by. Unfortunately checkin didn't go well. The property manger forgot i was arriving, asked me to checkin later. I understand things happen but after an 8 hour flight I was tired and now asked to find somewhere to go for a couple of hours. When i was called to return I was 15mins away. She sounded upset telling me she was in a hurry. Made me feel like I was a burden. The house is nice. Not impressed with the cleanliness. Every dish i took out was dirty. The main bathroom mirrors where dirty. No garbage liners in the bathroom. Only one bed was made. Not making the beds made the house feel unwelcomeing. I was provided 1 bath towel &1 hand towel for 5 nights. A couple extra towels would have gone a long way! No hair dryer. Eventually found one in the storage room but it was not acceptable for use. You are required to clean and strip the bed before leaving I feel that was a bit much. I do always clean but I'm already paying a fee! The outdoor space decent. Based on the property & my experience, unfortunately i will not return to Casa Limao.
