Après un classement complet en bas à reconstruire "Happy Place" a finalement été préparé pour occupation 23e Janvier, ici 2016. Tous les équipements et les meubles sont neufs! Situé en haut sur les rochers, grandes brises de l'océan sont la norme, mais pour les jours calmes chaque chambre est équipée de grands ventilateurs de plafond. Pour assurer votre confort, un A / C super calme est installé dans la chambre avec son lit Queen Size Simmons et sa salle de bain attenante avec deux lavabos et une douche vitrée. Profitez de l'internet haut débit avec WIFI, TV de câble complet, incl. HBO, etc. et d'une télévision à écran plat "intelligent". Le plan d'étage ouvert dispose de restaurants et espaces de vie et d'une cuisine complète avec cuisinière à gaz, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur, cafetière et grille-pain. Les nouvelles armoires sur mesure détiennent un tableau de marmites, casseroles, vaisselle, ustensiles, épices de base et plus, pour faciliter la cuisson, si vous choisissez. Le balcon couvert, peut être votre pièce préférée, avec son barbecue à gaz et les meubles de patio pour tout simplement profiter confortablement ce point de vue panoramique incroyable. We Love Happy Place

We had such an excellent stay. It was perfect for us. The views were even more magnificent in real life. The unit was well appointed with quality appliances and cookware, towels, etc. Henry and Dennis were terrific answering any questions we had.

Amazing getaway

My husband and I stayed at Happy Place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful villa for two people! Dennis was very helpful with getting us to our jeep and to show us around the villa. Thank you for sharing your property with us, we will never forget the memories!

Lovely St John

Our stay was great. Will likely return to the Happy Place. Convenient to Cruz Bay. Views were great. The rental was very comfortable with many solid amenities. Loved the washer/dryer and the shower. This was our 11th trip to St. John and we always enjoy our stay, although the Island seemed quite busy this time.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful week at The Happy Place. Had everything we needed. View was wonderful and the two deck doors offered wonderful night and day views. The location was very convenient to town. We drove to beaches and hiking and utilized taxis or walking to hang out in Cruz Bay as parking limited. Our host was very communicative and gave us great tips for driving around, eating, etc. Neighborhood was great for walking as I took walks every morning before exploring for the day. We would definitely stay here again.

Great week at "Happy Place"

We had a great week at Happy Place! Our flight getting in was delayed but Becki was so helpful in guiding our way to the villa, despite many changes in our plans! The unit was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The Happy Place Guide that was sent to us in advance of our trip was filled with helfpul information and we referenced it regularly throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to St. John!

Perfect place with perfect views of Cruz Bay

Just left Happy Place and it was truly a "happy place." It is a perfect one bedroom with kitchen and lounge area, and deck. It is set back in the hills overlooking Cruz Bay. The views are incredible, from the bedroom, kitchen and deck. Easy drive to town. The inside is brand new from the furniture to the flooring and appliances. It is very clean and comfortable. St. John is a beautiful island and Happy Place is a perfect fit. Also Randy was easy to work with and Henry made sure we had everything we needed. They had chairs and float toys as well.

Over all the place was great😀

This was our first visit to St. John. The walk down town was challenging with the hills it took 20 min if your moving quick and super fit! My only complaint is the owner lives above you so if you want to cut loose unwind with a bourbon and a cigar outside of course you can't because the smoke drifts and we were quickly disciplined. Also you can here everything! Over all it's a beautiful location and the place was well equipped. I was on vacation and didn't really want to do laundry or cook and clean daily so convenience to down town was important. Rent a jeep the entire week l&l jeep rental was great. Don't let the appearance scare you la tapa was the best restaurant and I'm a foodie. The drinks at long board were unique and the food was great. Beach bar was cheap and fun for happy hour but you can only drink so much rum. The golf on st Thomas was worth it. Great course. Henry and Larissa were very hospitable and I would recommend staying.

Perfect Place to Begin and End our Daily Adventures

We highly recommend this property for 2 travelers wanting to explore St. John. We enjoyed our morning coffee with an amazing view of Great Cruz Bay daily. Exploring several beaches, with picnics, during our stay was easy. There was a grocery store within minutes of Happy Place and the property had everything you can think of to tote along to each beach! A jeep was a "must" for us and so was snorkel gear. We brought our own snorkel gear and used it several times a day. Snorkeling and jeep adventures are top notch on this island. We treated ourselves to most dinners at nearby restaurants, but you could easily cook at Happy Place-the kitchen is stocked. We must also add that the property was meticulously cleaned before our arrival. We briefly met Randy (the owner) and he was so responsive via email with any questions we had leading up to the trip and also after the trip. Henry communicated with us prior to the trip and picked us up right at the ferry upon arrival. Everything was smooth and easy. We enjoyed every minute of our trip and Happy Place suited us perfectly. What a view!!!

We just spent a week in My Happy Place. That is not a state of mind but a wonderful vacation rental on St. John USVI. The expansive southern view is only the icing on the cake. When we stepped off the late ferry from Red Hook, Henry met us with a smile and the offer of a shuttle to the car rental, where we picked up our ride for the week, then he led the way to Happy Place. If you are not familiar with St. John, when you leave the water’s edge everything is up and, Happy Place is no exception. The winding roads take you up over 300 feet and, although it may seem daunting, I’m sure you will agree when you get there that it is well worth the drive. There is a large private parking area with easy access (no steps) to the apartment entrance. When you walk in the door it is hard to ignore the view, out of the double patio doors, of Chocolate Hole and the beautiful Caribbean beyond. After you tear yourself away from the stunning view you might notice the newly renovated kitchen (that is better equipped than my own), the comfortable queen size bed in the bright and airy bedroom, the double sink in the well-lighted adjoining bathroom and the roomy walk in shower. There is also a full size couch and two comfortable chairs to relax on when you’ve had enough beach time. There’s a gas grill if you feel the need to do your own ribs and a dishwasher to help with the clean-up. You won’t have to bring as many clothes because there is a washer and dryer with soap and fabric softener. Oh, if the power should go out (which it does on occasion on St. Thomas and St. John) there is a back-up generator to keep the lights on and the wi-fi up and running. I could go on but, enough about the amenities, WE LOVE THIS PLACE. I love sitting there in the morning with a cup of coffee, watching the light slowly come up over the green hills or seeing the morning showers move across the island and out over the water. I love coming back after a day at Salt Pond or a hike to Reef Bay and having this wonderful setting to relax in. This is the perfect escape from the winter up North. If this isn’t your happy place, you need way more than a Caribbean vacation. As a side note, I made the mistake of walking off and leaving my Ipad behind. I was not a happy camper. Thankfully, Larissa had it in the mail to me in no time and I had it in hand back in Ohio in a week. Thank you Larissa.

Happy Place

This was our 2nd trip to STJ but our 1st time staying in Cruz Bay. Happy Place is located in a perfect location, easy access to the all that Cruz Bay offers as well as being removed from the noise and " traffic". The bed was comfortable and the unit had everything we needed. Henry, the property manager, met us at our Jeep rental location so that we could follow him to the property. Overall a great place to stay!

Awesome!!

We really enjoyed staying at Estate Bethany! In the past we’ve stayed on Coral Bay side which is pretty far from Cruz bay. This rental was SO close to all the great restaurants of Cruz Bay and is much closer to the main beaches. The villa is set up perfectly for a couple. We will definitely be back! Also, our contact Henry was very quick to respond and answered all questions we had. Awesome experience!

Great place for a couple

We enjoyed our week at Happy Place. The view is enjoyable both day and night, the unit was clean and very well equipped, and communication with Henry, the property manager, was excellent. The extensive online guide that we received well ahead of our visit was very helpful. The driveway is narrow and steep, but that is the norm on the island for roads as well as driveways. If you are planning to drive on the island, you will have to deal with narrow and steep! Cell service on the island is spotty, but we had reception at the unit. The WiFi was adequate, but sometimes a bit sluggish, which might not be unusual for the island. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Place for Two!

We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Place in St. John. The communication was great throughout the entire trip. When we arrived someone was waiting for us at the ferry to make sure we were situated with our rental car and to show us to the Happy Place. Just a short drive to Cruz Bay, it’s in the perfect location to enjoy the nightlife but to easily escape as well. The driveway was easy to park in and there was a perfect turn around just a few feet up the road which isn’t always the case on St John. It has a private entrance from the driveway making it feel a bit more secluded than other properties. This place is great for two people looking for a well equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and breathtaking views. We were rained out for one day on the island and it’s one of those places where you don’t mind hanging around, cooking burgers on the porch, and having a couple cocktails. Another plus was the vacuum in the closet, after a lot of beach days we were able to clean our car before returning it. The entire place seemed to have everything we needed for a relaxing and easy getaway.

Everything about Happy Place was fantastic! The location, amenities, views, and serenity were exactly as described. Henry was great with communication, local tips, and taking care of our needs. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re a couple or solo. You will not be disappointed! We’ll be back!

Great Location, Great Unit, Great Management!

Great location with easy access to town, and great view. Probably the most well appointed Kitchen we have ever stayed in. Communication with the manager was super easy, and super friendly. We have stayed in this area before, but this is the first time in this unit. We loved it. Don't anybody book October, we're headed back! Jeff & Bonnie.

Amazing View

The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The view from the balcony was spectacular! It was a bit unnerving driving up the narrow, steep hill to the property, but , as I said----the view was worth it. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom shower was nice & big. The 2 cats who visited were a nice bonus!

The Perfect Getaway

We stayed at the “Happy Place” last summer for a week. It was the perfect spot. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. The views from the porch were top notch. We loved waking up to have our morning coffee on the porch. Henry, the property manager, was great and went above and beyond for us! It was truly an unforgettable trip!

Our California home had a beautiful view of the Pacific but our lives in the civilized world were corporate encrusted, freeway driven, and mall dominated. When a business opportunity arose in the year 2000, we took a leap of faith, traded our Pacific Ocean Catalina Island view for a view of Caribbean Sea islands, including St Croix, and a less complicated not so 'civilized' island life.. This beautiful paradise called St. John is a wonderful place to be. We like to tell first time visitors to the island: "Not many people come to St. John, just once!" It's true.

"Happy Place" occupies the lower level of a villa that is literally built up on the rocks, actually, huge boulders. These boulders and rock cliffs that make up the property provide quite a unique setting.
