Après un classement complet en bas à reconstruire "Happy Place" a finalement été préparé pour occupation 23e Janvier, ici 2016. Tous les équipements et les meubles sont neufs! Situé en haut sur les rochers, grandes brises de l'océan sont la norme, mais pour les jours calmes chaque chambre est équipée de grands ventilateurs de plafond. Pour assurer votre confort, un A / C super calme est installé dans la chambre avec son lit Queen Size Simmons et sa salle de bain attenante avec deux lavabos et une douche vitrée. Profitez de l'internet haut débit avec WIFI, TV de câble complet, incl. HBO, etc. et d'une télévision à écran plat "intelligent". Le plan d'étage ouvert dispose de restaurants et espaces de vie et d'une cuisine complète avec cuisinière à gaz, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur, cafetière et grille-pain. Les nouvelles armoires sur mesure détiennent un tableau de marmites, casseroles, vaisselle, ustensiles, épices de base et plus, pour faciliter la cuisson, si vous choisissez. Le balcon couvert, peut être votre pièce préférée, avec son barbecue à gaz et les meubles de patio pour tout simplement profiter confortablement ce point de vue panoramique incroyable. Il y a une laveuse à pleine capacité et une sécheuse pour votre commodité. Lorsque vous quittez et revenez de vos aventures quotidiennes, vous pourrez profiter de votre propre paume privée bordée parking et couvert entrée tout seul sur le niveau "Happy Place". Happy Place

This was our 2nd trip to STJ but our 1st time staying in Cruz Bay. Happy Place is located in a perfect location, easy access to the all that Cruz Bay offers as well as being removed from the noise and " traffic". The bed was comfortable and the unit had everything we needed. Henry, the property manager, met us at our Jeep rental location so that we could follow him to the property. Overall a great place to stay!

Amazing getaway

My husband and I stayed at Happy Place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful villa for two people! Dennis was very helpful with getting us to our jeep and to show us around the villa. Thank you for sharing your property with us, we will never forget the memories!

We Love Happy Place

We had such an excellent stay. It was perfect for us. The views were even more magnificent in real life. The unit was well appointed with quality appliances and cookware, towels, etc. Henry and Dennis were terrific answering any questions we had.

Our stay was great. Will likely return to the Happy Place. Convenient to Cruz Bay. Views were great. The rental was very comfortable with many solid amenities. Loved the washer/dryer and the shower. This was our 11th trip to St. John and we always enjoy our stay, although the Island seemed quite busy this time.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful week at The Happy Place. Had everything we needed. View was wonderful and the two deck doors offered wonderful night and day views. The location was very convenient to town. We drove to beaches and hiking and utilized taxis or walking to hang out in Cruz Bay as parking limited. Our host was very communicative and gave us great tips for driving around, eating, etc. Neighborhood was great for walking as I took walks every morning before exploring for the day. We would definitely stay here again.

Great week at "Happy Place"

We had a great week at Happy Place! Our flight getting in was delayed but Becki was so helpful in guiding our way to the villa, despite many changes in our plans! The unit was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The Happy Place Guide that was sent to us in advance of our trip was filled with helfpul information and we referenced it regularly throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to St. John!

Awesome!!

We really enjoyed staying at Estate Bethany! In the past we’ve stayed on Coral Bay side which is pretty far from Cruz bay. This rental was SO close to all the great restaurants of Cruz Bay and is much closer to the main beaches. The villa is set up perfectly for a couple. We will definitely be back! Also, our contact Henry was very quick to respond and answered all questions we had. Awesome experience!

Great place for a couple

We enjoyed our week at Happy Place. The view is enjoyable both day and night, the unit was clean and very well equipped, and communication with Henry, the property manager, was excellent. The extensive online guide that we received well ahead of our visit was very helpful. The driveway is narrow and steep, but that is the norm on the island for roads as well as driveways. If you are planning to drive on the island, you will have to deal with narrow and steep! Cell service on the island is spotty, but we had reception at the unit. The WiFi was adequate, but sometimes a bit sluggish, which might not be unusual for the island. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Place for Two!

We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Place in St. John. The communication was great throughout the entire trip. When we arrived someone was waiting for us at the ferry to make sure we were situated with our rental car and to show us to the Happy Place. Just a short drive to Cruz Bay, it’s in the perfect location to enjoy the nightlife but to easily escape as well. The driveway was easy to park in and there was a perfect turn around just a few feet up the road which isn’t always the case on St John. It has a private entrance from the driveway making it feel a bit more secluded than other properties. This place is great for two people looking for a well equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and breathtaking views. We were rained out for one day on the island and it’s one of those places where you don’t mind hanging around, cooking burgers on the porch, and having a couple cocktails. Another plus was the vacuum in the closet, after a lot of beach days we were able to clean our car before returning it. The entire place seemed to have everything we needed for a relaxing and easy getaway.

Everything about Happy Place was fantastic! The location, amenities, views, and serenity were exactly as described. Henry was great with communication, local tips, and taking care of our needs. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re a couple or solo. You will not be disappointed! We’ll be back!

Great Location, Great Unit, Great Management!

Great location with easy access to town, and great view. Probably the most well appointed Kitchen we have ever stayed in. Communication with the manager was super easy, and super friendly. We have stayed in this area before, but this is the first time in this unit. We loved it. Don't anybody book October, we're headed back! Jeff & Bonnie.

Amazing View

The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The view from the balcony was spectacular! It was a bit unnerving driving up the narrow, steep hill to the property, but , as I said----the view was worth it. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom shower was nice & big. The 2 cats who visited were a nice bonus!

The Perfect Getaway

We stayed at the “Happy Place” last summer for a week. It was the perfect spot. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. The views from the porch were top notch. We loved waking up to have our morning coffee on the porch. Henry, the property manager, was great and went above and beyond for us! It was truly an unforgettable trip!

We had the most perfect VRBO experience ever !

Happy Place was just Gorgeous! In the perfect location for breakfast , lunch and wonderful dinners ! We explored different spectacular beaches everyday ! The views from our private deck were breathtaking! From our morning Sunrise Coffee to glimpses of an incredible sunset

Happy to Stay Here Anytime!

Overall it was a very pleasant stay at the Happy Place. Good location. View is awesome. Unit is very well equipped. Not as refined as some of the other places I've stayed on the Island but certainly very nice especially since it was less expensive than the others. Highlights: View. Close to town. A/C in bedroom. Nice shower. Has pretty much everything you need. TV comes with premium channels. Kitties to feed if you like animals :) Lowlights: Need a good beach umbrella (the chair mounted ones there don't work). Could use a new sofa (getting a bit tired) but not a huge deal. Could use a higher qualify mattress but I'm very picky so you may be fine with it. If you need A/C in the main room/kitchen then you will not be happy here - I was totally fine with it and actually enjoyed the fresh air / breezes.

We loved staying at My Happy Place. The view was just beautiful . The deck was very spacious and full of sun. We spent lots of time watching the boats and enjoying the sunshine on the deck. House was very accurately depicted in the pictures. Spacious and perfect for a couple. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Very short drive to Cruz Bay, grocery store and beaches. We loved it and will be back!

Our California home had a beautiful view of the Pacific but our lives in the civilized world were corporate encrusted, freeway driven, and mall dominated. When a business opportunity arose in the year 2000, we took a leap of faith, traded our Pacific Ocean Catalina Island view for a view of Caribbean Sea islands, including St Croix, and a less complicated not so 'civilized' island life.. This beautiful paradise called St. John is a wonderful place to be. We like to tell first time visitors to the island: "Not many people come to St. John, just once!" It's true.

"Happy Place" occupies the lower level of a villa that is literally built up on the rocks, actually, huge boulders. These boulders and rock cliffs that make up the property provide quite a unique setting. "Happy Place" was completely refurbished in 2016 to be attractive to guests who value their pricacey and insist on nicely appointed and comfortable accommodations but are also budget conscious. "Happy Place" is the ideal choice for the informed island visitors who prefer to spend their time and budget at the 35 beautiful beaches and on the pristine waters that make the island such a famous place, instead of, at the villa or resort pool. Unlike apartment buildings and condo complexes, it offers the luxury and convenience of your personal parking area at your very private entrance.

It is around the hill and away from the hustle bustle of the village of Cruz Bay but conveniently located, a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk, to town. Total renovation just completed in January 2016. Everything, inside and out, is brand new!
