Lovely property with fantastic views of the sea from the front room and two front bedrooms. I stayed with my mother and sister and we had a lovely relaxing 5 day stay. High standard of cleanliness throughout the house. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere picturesque to stay on the Northumberland coast.
We loved sitting in the window of this property looking out to sea, the location was excellent with easy access to the prom and beach. Property itself was lovely, well equipped with all the little peripheryâs ( kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc. check in and communication with the owner was also seam free. Would definitely stay again.
A relaxing stay at a beautiful property. We all really enjoyed our stay. Stunning views and lovely walks. The host couldn't have been more helpful and the property had everything we wanted.
Such a great position, beach on the door step and the town just a short stroll away. Space for 2 cars one in garage and other in front of garage. The garden in the front was ideal. We sat and had coffee watching the world go by. The cafe on the beach to the right was a great find. Just make sure to book as it gets very busy. The view from the lounge window was amazing. The tv didnt go on as we just sat looking out of the window. All beds were very comfortable.Would 100% recommend as a place to stay.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this lovely house and all the positive feedback about contact with Patsy in advance, the neighbor from down the street as well as all the house details are true, so what else can we say? :-) Weâd come back and stay longer if only we could.
This very comfortable place was ideal for my wife, 3 son, and dog. Sea views from front room and bedrooms were amazing. The beach is directly accessible by a series of step with no road between. We have a well-behaved dog, and did not use the lead from house to beach. Our host Patsy was very responsive and took care of any minor issues very rapidly. Highly recommend even in the winter. I imagine it would absolutely incredible in the summer
This accomodation is lovely for a number of reasons. Very clean. Comfortable furniture and beds. Nice welcome basket. Amazing views of the sea. Friendly neighbours. Lots to do in the area.
This accommodation was lovely and the view from the front garden was excellent. It is a terrace house and the neighbours were very friendly. The only slight drawback was the back lane parking as the manoeuvre room was rather restricted.
Amazing, great location. The house is clean large and very cosy we will definitely recommend it. Friendly people great cake shop and the fish and chips were the best.
Easy arrival process, lovely and clean with welcome goodies! Awesome views from the house and easy access to the beach! Lots to do nearby and warm and cosy to stay and just do nothing!!
We had a great stay over the Easter bank holiday. The location is perfect, house cannot be faulted and we we even lucky with the weather!
We will be back!
Thank you so much
Most importantly, the location is incredible. We spent a lot of time on the beach, and a lot of time admiring the views from the house. Good for walks and runs too, and close to shops and other facilities. A lovely walk to the cafe at the maritime museum. Good local bakery. Friendly neighbours. The house is nice; bright and with spacious bedrooms. Good beds too. Helpful and responsive property owner. Lots of thoughtful extras provided on arrival. The cleanliness could have been better for us - we do have high standards but this is not a cheap holiday rental, so we expect it to be very clean. There was dirt on kitchen cupboards inside and out. Soap scum in the shower which would easily come off when scrubbing. Dust on top of lights, the cooker hood, and so on. Some spider webs. It could really do with a deep clean. Some of the pans do not seem to be for induction cooking, so don't work. Took us a bit of time to figure that one out.
My family are originally from Northumberland and whilst visiting my mother, we came across our delightful house. With my husband and myself both leading busy lives, we find walking the beaches during the day and then settling in front of our log burner with a glass of wine the perfect way to relax. Our grown up chidren also enjoy a weekend break at the house with their partners; although they tend to go into Newcastle upon tyne for lively bars, posh restaurants and the theatre, as it is only a 25 minute drive away.
We bought the house because of its perfect seafront position. It has direct access to the beach. It offers wonderful coastal walks. We can put our wetsuit's on and go for a swim or paddle board .
The large farmhouse table is ideal for dinner parties with room enough for friends and family; whilst enjoying stunning views . Sea fishing from the beach is an early morning treat and the dogs are allowed on the beach from Sept until April but children can go any time When the sea is calm you can swim, paddle board or kayak.
