CATRO GAROS est une impressionnante maison de luxe conçue par un célèbre architecte de la Galice. La maison est nommée CATRO FAROS parce que de la maison c’est possible de voir les 4 phares les plus connus da la Galice, le phare des îles Ons, îles Cies, Cap Home et Cap Udra. Une construction de 400 mètres, située á Sanxenxo, le village le plus répondue pour les vacances. Les vues panoramiques sur la mer vont étonner tous ceux qui veulent en profiter de la maison. La maison a une parcelle de 950 mètres avec une piscine d'eau salée de 5 x 10, équipée avec mobilier de jardin et 180 mètres de terrasse en bois. La maison dispose de 5 chambres doubles, toutes avec vue sur la mer, aux îles Cies et aux îles Ons. Trois des chambres ont une terrasse, une des chambres à une terrasse privative de 50 m², salle de bains et dressing. Excellente qualité de construction et de mobilier ainsi qu’un design moderne dans un endroit privilégié.

Fantastic house and great pool at accommadation

We enjoyed our stay. Every thing was fine, great swimming pool, nice house and great balcony to catch the late sun. Nice interior like kitchen and the bedrooms. Close to the beach and nice restaurants on walking distance. Appreciated the services from Patricia

If I could live here, life would be perfect!

Castro Farros is a GORGOUS villa, edging on mansion in Galicia in Northern Spain. The area is amazing with the house 10 min from the beach and SO close to thousands of things, you never have to drive for more than 30min to see something spectacular! My husbands favorite place was Combarro, 20 min from the house and a traditional fishing village. The only thing better than the quaint seaside towns and ocean views is the house... From top of the line entertainment systems to the luxury Jacuzzi this house has everything we could ever need! We were blessed to come right after their remodel in June 2016 and I have never seen anything more beautiful. The décor is simple, elegant, and absolutely wonderful to the point of feeling like your in a dream. In most rooms of the house are delicate hand painted murals, with my daughters favorite being of a flamingo scene in the downstairs bathroom! Everything was wonderful for our week stay and the weather couldn't have been more comfortable for the beach during the day, to the cool breeze at night. This villa may be a 10 min walk from the beach, but if the trip was an hour drive, this house would make it worth getting any condo on the beach!

Great location

It is as it looks on the photos and the views out to the atlantic islands are amazing. The 2 restaurants below the house - 2 mins walk if that - are both fab and there is a fresh bread shop a 5 min walk away with a few small general provisions on offer, 10 mins gets you to the beach (you have to cross a busy road) but you are soon on a sandy beach. There is a coastal path right and left that takes you to beaches with beach bars - the nearest one with a bar actually on the sand is 10 mins to the left past the caravan site along a board walk after you cross the road - life guards, loos, food/drink and pedalos in a lovely cover. A longer walk to the right past the other caravan site takes you to beach after beach with great food on offer at various cafes. There is a lot of ecological preservation of the dunes going on and boards that tell you all about it. We even saw dolphins in the sea. Ping pong matches in the garage were great fun but new bats and balls are needed as the current ones are worn out. Great local fish markets gave us high quality fish for the BBQ and a visit to the local vineyard gave us plenty of Albarino to drink. The master suite is fab with views and a large deck. It would be lovely to have more seating up there for others to join the lucky ones sleeping there.. but that might just be us as we were with our adult kids and wouldn't have sat there on our own. Patricia couldn't have been more helpful and brought us more sunbeds when we asked and offered recommendations re vineyards to visit and any other trips we wanted advice on. One tip (and it is not a criticism) - there were lots of DVDs on offer but no HDMI to link our laptops to netflix... we had great weather and didn't need TVs but it might be useful for wet weather. We didn't have a cable to link up to the speaker system either which is not bluetooth.

A Perfect Escape

We stayed at Catro Faros for a week on a family holiday and it was amazing! From the booking process and information from Patricia to the actual villa itself, everything was perfect. The location is a little isolated but there are 2 restaurants next door (Meson Xerfa is thoroughly recommended), beaches within 10minute’s walk and the small town of Portonovo 20 mins away. The villa is as good as it looks with all mod-cons and everything that we could need. The pool was still a bit cool but provided a welcome break from the heat. The surrounding countryside and beaches are beautiful and we can’t wait to return!

Wonderful holiday in Galicia

Our family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) stayed in Patricias house for a week and we had a really wonderful holiday. The house is large and modern, the pool is clean and big enough for playing and relaxing, the area is nice and quiet. The beach is a short walk away and plenty more beaches can be reached within minutes by car. We recommend the restaurant just across the street, the beaches in Villanuevo de Arousa, a trip to a winery in Sanxenxo and a daytrip to Cies Island - Patricia will give you all the information you need to have a spendid holiday.

The perfect place in Galicia

Catro Faros is the definitive luxury vacation rental: contemporary architecture, light filled and spacious rooms, and truly impressive views from so many vantage points around the house, particularly as you relax around the pool. This is a hi-tech house - it took a little while to figure out the multiple ways to open the windows and doors, the numerous window shade remote controls, appliances, and sound system, but after a couple of days, it was second nature. Given the abundant Galician seafood readily available from a nearby fish market and supermercados, we made extensive use of the kitchen and bbq, enjoying many delicious alfresco meals. And for your daily bread, it’s an easy walk to the best panaderia in the area, Panaderia A. Castro – say hi to the warm and welcoming Beatrice and tell her the bread baker from Los Angeles sent you. The location is ideal for short drives to Combarro (our favorite fishing village), A Illa de Arousa (fabulous rock formations at low tide) and Ruta da Pedra e da Auga (a gorgeous riverwalk, part of the Portugese Way), and longer drives to A Guarda (Celtic settlement), Tui (medieval town), and Valenca (Portugal). It’s less than an hour to Santiago de Compostela, and from there it’s worth the trip to Muxia (where granite meets the sea) and Finisterre (the western most point in Spain). Despite many worthwhile day trips, there were many days we preferred to just enjoy the house, pool and incredible view. Patricia was a friendly and responsive host. She was always available via Whatsapp to provide advice or recommendations. When asked about the best cabrito restaurant in the area, she said she’d ask around - she pointed us to Casa Pipeiro in Ponte Caldelas, which had absolutely the best cabrito. We’re real foodies and found many very innovative fine dining restaurants within a 30 minute drive whose meals easily competed with some our of best around the world. One of Patricia’s favorites also became ours - Pepe Veiras in Raxo. Our stay was perfect. We’ve recommended Catros Faros to our friends and will definitely stay there next time in Galicia.

Lovely Villa near Montalvo beach

This really is a fantastic holiday villa - if anything, it's better when you get there than in the photos. Excellent standard of accommodation and it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool and the outside areas were lovely. We were fortunate with a week of hot weather, so lots of opportunities to swim and use the barbecue. The restaurant opposite is very nice and so convenient that we only ate elsewhere once. The beach is a 10 mins walk from the house and we thought it one of the nicest beaches along this stretch. The views from the house are fantastic. All in all we had a thoroughly relaxing time and would recommend the villa for a great holiday.

Beautiful house and very responsive hosts

This is a wonderful property. The house is new and modern, but also very comfortable. Everything is done with five star quality materials. Good location that is a short walk to the beach, but set up high enough to offer great views. It is also a easy drive (about 45 minutes) to Santiago, and many other interesting destinations. The pool area is a real highlight. The pool is very large, and the house has a great grill for outdoor barbeques. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. They live nearby, and were able to respond right away to any question or request that I had. Highly recommended. John Anchorage Alaska

Beautiful property in a beautiful town.

As we pulled up to the driveway, I couldn't believe my eyes. What an impressive palace my family and I were to stay in! The house is spacious, modern, and regal. I could shower while listening to the stero system installed. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the terrace while our children swam in the pool. Each night, we took advantage of the pleasant weather and dined outside, basking in the serenity of the rural neighborhood. The beach is only a 10 minute walking distance through the countryside. Once there, I would run along the shores and take walks along the rocky hillside. Every Monday and Thursday morning, the street market is held in the morning in Portonovo. Fresh fruits, churros, and clothes are sold there. This house is gorgeous and it is the perfect getaway for a relaxing vacation. Everything was clean and tidy, from the linen to the floors. This villa has it all!

What a fantastic experience! Upon arrival, we felt immediately on holiday. Patricia had left wine and food for us which was great to enjoy on the rooftop terrace. Everything was clean and fresh when we arrived - even the pool was crystal clear. The many windows in the house are perfect, as the views from the villa are breathtaking. The villa's location was great. I would recommend renting a car while staying here, as there is so much to do in the region. Portonovo is a few minutes by car, and is a very charming town with lots of tent shops, tapas bars, and a beautiful harbor. Sanxenxo is nearby as well; it's a lovely 20 minute walk between the towns. All of the beaches we visited were beautiful. The Spanish/Galician culture and hospitality was a pleasure to experience. Patricia was very attentive during our stay; from directions to the villa, recommendations of things to do, and finally our departure. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I hope to return soon! If you are thinking of visiting this region, I would definitely recommend staying at Catro Faros. One of the most perfect holidays!

This is a fantastic villa in a fantastic location! We do these kinds of holidays every year, and this is one of the best villa holidays that we've been on, if not the best. The villa is fabulous - clean, modern, exactly as in the pictures; stunning views over the islands; and the location is fantastic - walking distance to beautiful white sandy beaches and to the town of Portonovo. There is a small shop just across the road, and a lovely restaurant and bar beside the shop - so convenient. Patricia and her husband were the perfect hosts - they left in some wine and food supplies for our first day, and they couldn't have been more helpful to us while we were there. I couldn't recommend this highly enough - taking everything into account, it really was one of the best villas and locations that we've been to.

Magnifiques vacances

La description de l'annonce fait diviner des vancances incroyables. Et une fois à CATRO FAROS, toutes les expectations son surpassées. La propriéte est trés prope, le mobilier se trouve dans un état parfait, le jardin invite à se reposer... Nous avons reçu un service d'acceuil et d'assistance... on peur dire que difficile à ameliore. Nous avons dejá recommendé CATRO FAROS à la famille qui le prochaine année pense en visiter la verd Galice. Nous gardons un trés agreable souvenirs de CATRO FAROS, les meilleures vacances. Nous profitons l'opportunité de remercier (encore un fois) à Patricia.

Lovely Villa

We have just returned from our travels in France Spain and Portugal. I have to tell that the highlight of the month was your lovely Villa. Your skill as an interior designer means that the property is a pleasure to live in and is an inspiration in so many ways. and those extra touches like the fur throws in the Drawing Room boxes and the lovely welcome goodies really enhanced the experience. As the owner of a number of holiday properties and businesses myself I appreciate the hard work that went into creating that ambience.The easy availability of WiFi was a great importance to us and the maps guides and your enthusiastic personal recommendations to the area in general meant that we visited a number of places that we would otherwise have missed. Our Stay at Catro Faros, Galicia

Our Stay at Catro Faros, Galicia This year we decided to have our friends reunion in Galicia last April. After looking at several options, we decided to go for which ended up being the best choice, Catro Faros, an amazing five bedroom villa located on the coast. Galicia is very accessible by air, as it has four airports near by (Vigo, Santiago, A Coruna and O Porto) After hiring a car we headed to the Rias Baixas where the villa is located. The villa is in an exceptional spot, on the tip of a mountain, overlooking the valley with an exceptional 360 degrees view to the open Atlantic Ocean. The name of the villa, "Catro Faros" relates to "Four light houses", at night you can see four different light houses lighting up ahead of you. The house is very modern and of an exquisite design. All little details have been looked after from the owners, who showed a lot of care for our well-being during our stay. At our arrival we were very satisfied to see how the pictures we found on the Internet matched completely with the status of the house, was very well maintained and properly cleaned. The bedrooms are very spacious, and counted with all the facilities needed for our comfort. The common areas are very well designed, we could enjoy breakfast from the middle terrace, the kids could enjoy the pool in the ground floor and we could all see the sunset from the upper terrace, overlooking the four Light houses and the sun disappearing in the ocean in front of us. We know also that the rain is a very characteristic feature of Galicia, and for those days we could enjoy the rain looking at it from the big glass that surrounds the house, whilst seating on the living room, having a glass of wine with the company of the fire place that is available. The villa is in a great spot to move around Galicia, very close to Portonovo, Sanxenxo, Cambados, Combarro and Santiago to name some, made it very easy for us to visit all these areas within a relative small distance. There are several restaurants nearby, where we definitely enjoyed the Galician gastronomy and its recognized wine. For sure we will go back to Catro faros and will recommend it with high marks! Thank you to the hosts, for sure they know how to create a memorable atmosphere.

Fabulously luxurious villa

We had a great holiday in Catro Faros during August.The villa was just as the photographs showed,really luxurious.We were 2 families,4 adults with 4 children,so there was lots of room and plenty of luxury bathrooms for everyone.We paricularly liked the master suite and so each couple in our party spent a week in it.It was so lovely to wake up with that breathtaking view. The views from everywhere in the villa were lovely and the salt water pool was greatly enjoyed by us all.We all appreciated all the high tech gadgets but especially the children.The flat screen TV in the bathroom was a big hit with the 2 teenage girls in our party! The villa is well situated for the beaches.Our favourite was our local beach Montalvo and we also enjoyed Lasanda beach,a little further north where you can surf and hire surfing equipment.Satiago is very accessible and a really good day out.We ate in our local restaurant on quite a few evenings which was excellent and also went into Sanxenxo which has some really good restaurants and Tapas bars.Patricia supplies a comprehensive list of recommended places. We found the owner,Patricia and her husband extremely helpful with lots of advice on places to go and things to do.The welcome pack was greatly appreciated.It was generous and allowed us to have something to eat and drink on the first day before we found our way to the supermarket.The little bakery just opposite our gate was great for fresh bread every morning. Overall,we had a great holiday,the villa is a gorgeous place to stay and the owners try hard to make sure you enjoy your stay.My only reservation is I don't really want to tell anyone about it!

Wonderful two weeks at Catro Faros.

Our family spent a wonderful two weeks at Catro Faros in July 2012. The house was as great as it looked on the website and the combination of the open plan living space, modern technology, spectacular views and refreshing pool made for a relaxing and very enjoyable two weeks. Having a great seafood restaurant and small shop just across the road was a bonus, as was the welcome package provided that included excellent wine and local produce. We felt perfectly comfortable sending our kids across the road for bread and ham in the morning and it all added to the feeling of really being immersed in the Galician culture. The kids enjoyed the 3-D TV and the selection of DVDs provided while the adults spend many evening sharing a glass wine on the terrace looking out to the twinkling lighthouses of the Rias Baixas (the Catro Faros which the house is named after). Location of the house is excellent. You are a 5 minute drive to Portonovo and Sanxenxo towns and a short walk to a wonderful beach at Montalvo. Going North the Salnes Valley express road means that you can be in Santiago in 45 minutes and heading South Vigo in about the same time. During our stay we ate in some outstanding restaurants and also travelled out on ferries to both the Isla Ons and Isla Cies, both of which were wonderful full day trips with a great combination of hiking, fresh seafood lunches and time on the beach. I can’t recommend Catro Faros highly enough. It is a great house in a wonderful location and Patricia is an attentive owner who speaks excellent English and went out of her way to make sure we had a great two weeks.

Catro Faros

We booked this Villa because it looked outstanding and very spacious from the website and it certainly didn't disappoint as it was absolutely amazing! The villa was very bright, rooms were open plan and the large panel windows in every room made it feel very open. The salt water pool was lovely and the kids were never out of it! The views were fantastic and the two leveled balconies were very large and relaxing. The bathrooms were lovely each with amazing showers, and a large Spa bath including its own TV! The 3D TV was brilliant and the kids enjoyed watching the DVD's that were provided although we didn't really spend much time watching TV as spent most evenings just relaxing by the poolside. The local beach was just a 10min walk and when we visited it was completely empty and very clean. We arrive late Sunday so all the shops were closed however the owners catered for us by providing a very generous welcome pack including bread, eggs, cheese, bacon, yogurts, wine, lager, pasta, pate, cakes and fruit juice just to name a few. There was a Seafood restaurant across the road and the owners said we could order and they would deliver the food to our Villa. We ordered on our first evening and had it delivered, the food was lovely and very reasonable. We normally holiday in the South of Spain as the weather is guaranteed so we were a little cautious about the weather in the North however we had a great week averaging at 25 - 30 degrees. We were due to leave a week later however we were having such a great time we decided to extend our stay for a further 3 days for which the owners were extremely accommodating. We will definitely be booking again next year! Thanks again Patricia

Catro Faros- Four Light Houses

Me and my family were lucky enough to stay at this Villa for two weeks. It was the first time my family had travelled to Spain so we were very unsure of what to expect. On arrival the house is absolutely breathe taking. It is a modern day castle, with an open plan living area which leads out to the pool, furthermore the glass panelling which captures the amazing views. The views can also be seen from the second floor balcony and the roof balcony. The pool is in perfect direction of the sun yet there are shaded areas where we shared many family dinners and drinks. Each bathroom is amazing with showers that massage all over, and a spabath and television in one bathroom. Catro Faros is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach or 15 minute walk into town which hosts many restaurants and bars but to be honest we didnt leave the villa for most of the holiday as it honestly had everything we needed. I dont see our family ever fidning a holiday destination better then this one therefore we will be sure of making a habbit of booking Catro Faros each year.
