Hello Fiona thank you for staying with us and your kind review. Whilst we haven't had queries relating to the outside lights before, we will ensure we explain how these switch when we speak with future guests. I believe the bed arrangements were rectified quickly. I do apologies however. I had understood that the booking was for 6 adults. We will ensure we ask guests in the future in advance to confirm the configuration of the twin beds in Bedroom 3. The property is self-catering. Guests do need to ensure they take provisions with them for the stay. There is a catering option however this is not standard, and we would need to know in advance so it could be priced accordingly.

Michael, thank you for your comments which are a complete surprise. We take professional and personal pride in renting our home in Pico to guests so I will respond in detail. We list as speaking English and Portuguese. I am not a German speaker but have asked a friend to translate. It is good to know that the description on the house met with your expectation. You did request access to the house before 2pm however we were not able to offer this as guests were check out the same day. I hope you understand, and that this didn't cause you concerns. We always oblige requests for early check in, later check out if we can. We arrived the day after you left and have been here for nearly 3 weeks. Not once has any noise from the bar been noticeable, let alone has it caused us to be unable to sleep or to feel nervous. Different people sleep in different patters of course but we have not have this type of comment before. Quite the opposite. Theses delightful summer snack bars and restaurants are regulated. We checked with the town hall and our neighbours who are adjacent to Bar da Fonte & no complaints have been made. We tried to ring you on the mobile you provided 3 times but no answer. We ask for a mobile as we like to call guests when they check in to answer in person any questions. Our only communication was by email and the issue with the bar was not mentioned once. You mentioned that there wasn't sufficient towels or linen. We charge the same for 1 or 6 guests. Towels and linen was sufficient based on 5 people you disclosed would be staying. The toaster had broken just before your arrival. We toast bread in the oven at home but this appears to have caused concern for you. In any event, the toaster is now replaced. Please note no increase in the rental rate for this. You conclude by advising that it is not normal for you to post what to our ears is a very disappointing review. The review is one which is entirely out of keeping for the 12 years we have been renting out Casa do Ananas and is not normal based on the 400+ guests we have been delighted to have hosted. I am sorry that you did not have a more restful stay. Your comments are not the experience and feedback we get from guests. When we get feedback we like to use the opportunity to improve the experience but in this case it is not possible to do this.
