SituĂ© Ă  seulement 1 Âœ mile des villes jumelles de San Ignacio et Santa Elena avec la location de voitures, les taxis et le service de bus facilement accessibles ce qui en fait une destination de vacances idĂ©ale.

Les villas sont nichĂ©s sur une terrasse surplombant le village de Cristo Rey Village et les montagnes Maya. De la plate-forme d'observation de la villa principale vous pouvez voir espagnol Lookout et la campagne environnante. Alors que sur la vĂ©randa de toit, vous pouvez Ă©galement accueillis par quelques-uns des 225 oiseaux connus pour occuper la canopĂ©e de la jungle dans le district de Cayo. ParticuliĂšrement convivial vous pourriez ĂȘtre accueillis par le Aricaris vĂ©rifier pour voir si vous pourriez avoir une papaye Ă  partager avec eux. Le barbecue est situé sur une terrasse à flanc de colline à l'ombre des grands Salam qui offrent de la nourriture à la plupart des oiseaux et la faune de notre région. Il y a une conversation et terrasse d'observation disponible pour tous nos invités à utiliser.

Les cuisines des villas sont entiÚrement équipées pour permettre la cuisson pour les régimes spéciaux ou pour éviter le coût élevé de salle de villégiature ou des restaurants locaux. Il y a des plaques à pùtisserie pour les légumes grillés, des mijoteuses pour la cuisson lente et un coin barbecue pour les grillades.

Cet excellent emplacement est proche de la plupart des sites mayas, tyroliennes, des grottes et des tubes de la grotte. Breath Taking

Beautiful view, check in was easy. Kenneth and Virginia were very helpful and accommodations were great! Very nice people. Everything you need and more. We stayed for two weeks, a home away from home.

Ken and Virginia were super helpful. They assisted us with setting up tours, providing directions to places and gave us advice on car rentals and dinner spots. The cottages were nicely decorated and had quality construction, which is often rare for central America. And the setting was amazing!

We stayed here for 4 nights in July , We would highly recommend this property ! The owners, Virginia and Kenneth were so helpful , they even helped us book a trip to Tikal in advance of our arrival. Not to mention the tour of the town and restaurant / activity recommendations. The villa was incredible, very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and stunning views. We would return to this property anytime!

Wonderful place

Communication was great from the moment we booked. When we arrived the location and villa itself exceeded our expectations. Virginia and Ken are wonderful and were always available for questions. They booked all of our tours and the company they use has the most phenomenal tour guides I’ve ever encountered. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future!

Superb hosts

Virginia and Ken were truly amazing and gracious hosts. We ended up having a breakthrough case of COVID and had to isolate at Villa Cayo for 12 Days. Virginia and Ken checked in on us daily and tended to our every need while following all safety protocols. They made us feel welcome and cared for in their lovely accommodation.

Amazing view and peaceful!

We have been coming to Belize for 5 yes. This by far has been our best accommodations. So convenient and close to town, yet so quiet and peaceful without having to take a long trip into the jungle. Virginia has built beautiful cabins and placed them perfectly on the mountain to provide you amazing views to wake up to. She is also so willing to share her years of advice from living here. Trust me you will not be disappointed when you stay here, I know we will be back.

I can not say enough nice things about Cayo Villa. The actual villas are so nice. The view is amazing. The bed is comfortable and nice sized. The shower is great. Virginia has stocked the kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, blender, and coffee maker. She has thought of absolutely everything you can need. Daily maid service is also a huge bonus. We will be back!

Fantastic Place, Views and Hosts!

Our stay at Villa Cayo was a fabulous experience. The unit is the best equipped place we've stayed in the 15 years plus we've used VRBO. The kitchen had everything you could want for your stay. All appliances were first rate. The shower, bathroom and hot water system are well designed. The best thing was the king size bed was very comfortable, which is a big deal for us. Ken and Virginia could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. The Crave restaurant which was their number one recommendation for dinner was a great dinning experience. The fact that it is a studio Villa does not do the place justice, it's more Villa than studio. Overall this was a great stay and experience, I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed Villa Cayo. We will return.

Breathtaking! A must stay in the Cayo District!

Wow, wow, wow! Villa Cayo is an awesome place to stay! I enjoyed myself, felt safe, and felt comfortable staying there. First, the panoramic view and sounds of nature is breathtaking. Next, the modern conveniences available made my stay very comfortable. Finally, Ken and Virginia were so gracious and welcoming. They made me feel like family. Upon my arrival, Virginia took me to San Ignacio, gave me a tour of town, took me to the market, and made sure I was good to go. She also assisted me in the coordinating of transportation and tours for my adventures in Cayo. I had nice conversations with Ken and got to meet their dogs too. It's good to stay in a place where you feel treated very well. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Cayo. Thank you Virginia and Ken!

Perfect place for the jungle experience!

If you want to experience the jungle on your trip to Belize, this is the perfect spot. You will enjoy the outstanding views and sounds of the jungle. This place is sparkling clean and so comfortable with everything you need right there. You are only a couple of miles to downtown with a quick taxi ride. Virginia and Ken make it so easy for you to do any tour or excursion you wish. We have never had such exceptional hosts! All of their recommendations were outstanding tour guides. We had the best experience! We will return for sure!

Quiet Retreat!

Ken and Virginia were the perfect hosts! Knowledgeable, friendly and around when you needed them! The Villa was exactly as described and we had everything we needed - plus daily housekeeping!! We found the quietness of night sky stargazing one of our favorite parts
. Although the tours, local market, restaurants and Ruins were everything we could have imagined! We will come again
. So much to see and do! San Ignacio is a great home base to explore inland Belize!!

Gorgeous amenities, location and fantastic hosts

Virginia was always extremely helpful and responsive to questions prior to trip, and during stay. Arranging guided trips or giving ideas for self guided adventures, foods, and shopping. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, completely furnished, and cleaned daily with everything fresh upon your return of the days adventure. It is an excellent jumping off point for touring various Mayan ruins, caves and falls. We loved the local area, lodging and Ken and Virginia as well. You will not be disappointed if you stay with them in one of their cottages.

A place that we would visit again!

The view was magnificent, the place was close enough to town, yet felt like a true 'escape' in the jungle. I wished we had stayed longer. Virginia and Ken were so helpful: taking us in town the first day we arrived to get groceries, showing us around the town, and helping us organize a tour to the ATM caves. We felt completely at ease at their place. They left us contact information for taxis and other important numbers. All details were considered, from the cookware, comfortable bed, blackout blinds, to the overall appearance of the place. There was a lot of care put into this place and it was greatly appreciated. A wonderful place to stay... definitely our favorite during our travels through Belize.

Paradise!

First, I will say that Ken and Virginia went above and beyond to not only make us feel welcome, but to help us get there! We drove in from Belize City a little late after our luggage didn't arrive and we ended up getting to San Ignacio after dark. Google Maps couldn't figure out where to go and we were completely lost in the dark and in a foreign country. Ken and Virginia jumped in their vehicle and met us down the road from Villa Cayo and escorted us up to the property. After a long flight, delays and lost luggage, their hospitality made it all better. Once there, Virginia walked us through the entire condo and answered all of our questions. She even has a list of recommended places to go/eats and cab drivers! It was great to not have to think about that after a long travel day. The condo itself is beautiful. Love that you can drink the water without worry, the kitchen is stocked with anything you need, the bathroom is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking! Truly a find in the jungle of Belize! Ken and Virginia were the most lovely hosts. They honestly care about their guests and went above and beyond to be there for us. They met the cab driver when our luggage finally appeared the second day at 9pm, they kept track of us and their other guests as we came and went to ensure we made it back safely each day and enjoyed our adventures. Oh, and they have the most adorable rescue pups on the property. They are the sweetest dogs! We headed to San Pedro after our stay in San Igancio thinking the beach is what we would rave about upon getting home but honestly, the jungle has our hearts. It is beautiful, peaceful, safe and the people are amazing. We loved each day we spent there and plan to go back and maybe buy a few acres of our own. Thanks again to Ken and Virgina. We plan to see you again soon if you will have us back!

Outstanding Accommodations with Gorgeous Views!

My girlfriend and I stayed here from Jan 24-27, 2017. We actually planned the start of our trip around a 3 night opening we found in their schedule. Delaying the anticipated start date of our trip to Belize proved to be a great decision once we arrived at Villa Cayo. The accommodations were phenomenal and definitely lived up to our expectations and more. The villa was very clean and comfortable and had a gorgeous bathroom/shower with good water pressure. Although we were busy during our time in San Ignacio, we made every effort possible to simply unwind and spend time at our villa. We bought groceries at Chen's supermarket (recommended by Ken and Virginia) to make breakfast before our ATM cave adventure and our last morning before checkout. We had everything we needed to make a great meal and it was so relaxing to enjoy a meal outside with such spectacular views. We took some of the best sunset pictures with the landscape/mountains in the background! Ken and Virginia were the best hosts we could've asked for. We arrived late after a long day of travel and they greeted us to help with luggage and made sure we were comfortable. They provided recommendations on anything we needed including restaurants, taxis, planning day trips, etc. and even gave us a ride into town our first morning there with a personalized tour of town. They were always available to help and made a great effort to ensure we had a worry free and memorable stay :) Ken and Virginia connected us with a taxi driver named Jose who we ended up arranging a shuttle with after checking out our last morning and beginning our Journey to San Pedro. Jose was super friendly with a great personality; highly recommend him even just for local rides to and from town. Do your self a favor and stay here!! 3 nights is not enough. Before we even left, we were already contemplating our next trip back to stay at Villa Cayo to potentially do a day trip to the Tikal Ruins in Guatemala! Thanks Ken and Virginia!!!

A lovely place and great hosts!

My partner John and I had a wonderful time in San Ignacio! Ken and Virginia are delightful, they pre-booked us with a local guide, David, who took us on a tour of Barton Creek Cave and to Big Rock Falls. David, a local of Mayan and Jamaican decent, is extremely knowledgable of the area, plants, history etc. Ken and Virginia provided us with additional information of where to go in the area, ruins, good super markets, etc. Great people, we would definitely stay there again! A beautiful view from the sitting area and our villa, hummingbirds at our window, many birds including parrots flying by, and great sunsets! Very peaceful, we loved it.

Better than we could have imagined!!

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Virginia we knew we were in good hands! We couldn't wait to return to our place every night and watch the sunset, the views are amazing! Virginia even recommended places to eat, taxi drivers and tour companies so that was super helpful! We used Mr. Biaz for our taxi driver and he was amazing! We cannot wait to go back!!

Remarkable view, wonderful hosts

We were met at the property by Virginia and Ken. After dumping our bags, Virginia took us to town for a tour, grocery shopping and bank ATM. The view from the villa is stunning and we could see Guatemala. The villa was cleaned daily, and hibiscus flowers were left on the bed. The kitchen is totally equipped and my husband cooked all our meals. The BBQ works well too. Everything in the villa is top notch from the design to the furnishings. Air conditioning was welcome in the heat and humidity. Both Virginia and Ken were a wealth of information about the area. It is a convenient 10 minute bus ride from San Ignacio.

Virginia and Ken went out of their way to acclimate us to the area...going so far as to drive us thru town while pointing out points of interest, good eats etc. They went beyond to even assist in scheduling tours, transportation and offering great insight to options to spend our time effectively to see and do as much as possible in the time we had. Very much enjoyed our stay!

San Ignacio is a wonderful small town. There were many activities to do and a variety of places to dine. The villas are 5 star. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. Even though there were plenty of places to choose from to dine, we ate breakfast in the villa just about every morning. It is quite pleasant to watch the sun come up while viewing the jungle and valley just steps from our front door. The villa and property are very clean and maintained well. During the day while we were out, the villa was cleaned thoroughly allowing us to return from a long day to watch the most beautiful Belizean jungle sunsets. Belize is a beautiful country with very nice and welcoming people. We look forward to returning to Belize and Villa Cayo.

Perfect!

Perfect stay at Villa Cayo. Villa is stocked with everything you need. Very comfortable. View is amazing. Owners very nice people, helped with anything needed at the villa as well as tips for the surrounding area. TV and internet best ever (7 previous stays in Belize) Good location for many things to do. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

What can be said about a couple in their 40’s who packed up their life in the US and moved to the beach in Belize? Well, whatever you call them, that was us. We had wanted to live on the beach in the U.S. but honestly, even if we could have afforded
the property, the permit fees, insurances fees, and the cost of building a home would have been too much for our budget.

In our search for affordable beaches, we did look at the beautiful country of Costa Rica but found the Spanish speaking to be a little overwhelming. Our stopover in Belize turned out to be exactly what we were looking for; it was magic! This beautiful country had gorgeous water, warm, friendly English speaking people and affordable
beaches. So, we did it! We bought a tiny lot right on the beach and lived there for almost 20 years. Eventually, the magic did wear off because living on the beach was not a vacation. It seemed everyone wanted to move to paradise and soon the density of homes and the traffic took its toll. With the influx of tourists and hawkers on the beach, our peaceful life was lost. It was time for a new dream. Not wanting to move back to the States, we looked to the beautiful mountains of the Cayo district here in Belize. The gorgeous views, the breeze, the wildlife and birds are breathtaking and the cost is still affordable.

We have been in Cayo since 2008 with our two rescue dogs and really like living in such a welcoming area. The outdoor living, the slower pace, and the huge farmers market gives us the ability to live a cheaper and healthier lifestyle, if we choose.

Because Belize is such a small country, the beaches are not far away so, the magic is
back! Now it is a vacation again to drive a short distance to the Caribbean Sea where we can dive, snorkel or fish to our hearts content. We can even fly directly to the beaches from the local airport which has flights connecting to every major area
in Belize.

The air conditioned villas have fully equipped kitchens with full size refrigerator and stove, dining area and lounging area with 40" flat panel smart TV with a blue ray DVD player. There is also an outdoor conversation areas with BBQ and seating under the giant Salam Trees overlooking the village of Cristo Rey and the Maya mountains.
