Great location, nice house. Grandparents, daughters and grandkids had a fun time in Savannah. We enjoyed the house with comfy beds, nice linens supplied and even had great beach towels for our day at the beach. Grilled burgers on the grill in large backyard and Grandpa made breakfast every day in our well stocked kitchen. We had a great time!
Very cute house. Had everything we needed. Convenient location for SCAD graduation photos at Forsyth park and not far from Convention Center. Enjoyed our stay!
We had a great time pretending to be Savannah residents while staying at this property. Itâs close to everything! Convenient to stores and a scenic short drive to the downtown area. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4 and the kitchen made eating at home fun and easy. Outdoor area was great for kids.
The house was roomy and the beds were comfortable. This is an older home, so donât expect luxury bathrooms. The location is close to almost everything. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay.
I had family at the hospital in Savannah. It was so nice to have a home away from home to be at during their stay. Cozy and lots of character. Neighborhood cute too. Owner easy to communicate with as well.
House was nice and cozy, neighborhood was nice. House was clean. all the TVs and Wi-Fi work great. Only negative was the dishwasher had a horrible odor as if somebody hadnât cleaned the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher. I Would stay at this place again.
Larger than expected. The ac worked well, but we felt a ceiling fan would be great in the family room. It does have the musty smell that comes with older homes. Location is good. It was bigger than expected.
Historic charm with all the modern comforts of home
Beautifully kept and preserved 3/2 home in the historic district of Savannah. This home boasts so much charm and character through the preservation of original craftsmanship over the decades, it feels like home without sacrificing modern luxuries such as WiFi, propane grills/stovetop, cold A/C, and kitchen/utility appliances. Iâd stay here again! Owners were easy to reach to introduce myself and respond in a timely manner.
This house was perfect for our family and conveniently located to downtown and the islands. This is not a new luxurious house but it is comfortable and charming. I would rather stay somewhere that I feel at home! The owner communication was fast and responsive. We loved the backyard space and grill. Perfect house to be centrally located to Savannah attractions and stay in a historic house with character.
Cute house. Great location. The master bedroom should have a king size bed. Owner should consider having an exterminator come out. We did see a few roaches in the kitchen. Overall, it was a great place to stay. I will recommend this house to others.
My family of 5 had a great stay at 'Paula Deen House'. This home is a home away from home. Alot of love and care have been put into this home. It's as advertised and all the amenities was supplied. We had to provide our toothbrush and toothpaste but everything else was provided. Check in and out was easy and Mr Ed was available for assistance. It was great to stay at the home where Paula Deen started her business. I would recommend this home to family and friends if they're in Savannah GA visiting.
The front door lock was very hard to open. There were roaches in the kitchen. .The house was quirky, in a good way. Overall our stay was good and I would stay there again after the minor problems are taken care of.
The home was nicely appointed. However there was a pervasive musty smell throughout. The dryer is old & ruined a new shirt by jamming it between the drum & frame. Put a hole in the shirt.
There was plenty of room for us & anything you might need was there! The accommodations were spacious & nicely decorated.
I grew up in the Philadelphia area and graduated from Temple University majoring in Architecture. I currently live on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. We currently have 4 rental properties from Florida to New Jersey.
My daughter graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a masters in Architecture. She was the inspiration for the purchase of this house and lived here while attending college.
Paula Deen lived here during the mid 1990's and started here business as the bag lady. Working in her kitchen and sending Bobby and Jamie out on their bikes to serve bag lunches to the local businesses in downtown Savannah.
