The cottage was adorable! Beautiful view! Plenty of space for a family w a queen bed and the loft w 2 twin beds. Having a full kitchen and laundry is so nice while on vacation. We had a wonderful stay and cant wait to come back and visit againagainagainintfuturefuture.
Perfect place to enjoy a lake getaway to wind down the summer and catch the action at THE OSU football game with our daughter. Quiet and serene and conveniently located near many great restaurants. Loved the charm of the property.
Rickâs home was clean, decorated nicely and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. Central to restaurants, right on Buckeye Lake, beautiful gardens. Definitely recommend!
The house was easy enough to find and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nicely furnished. The best part of the stay was sitting on the balcony watching the boats and fishermen on Crane and Buckeye Lake. Richard, the property owner, lives next door, and was a joy to talk to. We will stay here again.
A great location on Buckeye Lake. Walking distance to the brewery and several stores and restaurants. A walking/biking trail nearby. Would have been nice to have pods for the Keurig coffee maker - however they were out of them when we stayed. Otherwise a nice house to stay in.
Very enjoyable stay. Place was very clean and comfortable. Surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the view from the balconies. Rick had bikes, fire ring, kayaks available for our use. He was very accomodating and available when he was needed. Would definitely stay again!
The building is charming and clean and location is beautiful, but the structure is a bit quirky w BR and the only BA on first floor, kitchen & LR on 2nd and additional sleeping space on 3rd (late night bathroom visits are potentially awkward as climbing steps may be, especially for elderly. No problem for just wife and I.My biggest gripe is communication as the host responded to questions, but I wasn't notified and didn't know he replied until I inadvertantly saw the reply days later. A few more days after that, I got a notification that the host reached out but saw only the original Q&A on the website. If a second communication was sent, I was never aware.Whether due to my inability to get communications, or a lack of information having been sent, we weren't sure where to park or how to get into the building, or even which building it was. This was in part due to an outdated pic on the website showing 3 buildings but there are actually 4. We figured it out quickly, but it was late at night and someone prone to get uptight may been uptight or put out. OR the chance exists of someone jacking around at the wrong door at 1:00 AM. Also, there are one way streets that take you a cirtutous route. We drove the wrong way down what is really an allley. Not an issue due to how late it was and how little traffic ever used the street, but a bit confusing.
Cozy villa/loft on a beautiful, quiet cove. Owner had docks, kayaks, bikes, and firepit available at site. We brought lake floats and paddle board. Perfect location for paddle boarding. Loved the 2nd story deck/porch complete with ceiling fans for a relaxing visit.
Cute group of homes that are very picturesque and cozy. Dock space to bring your own boat was included in rental cost. Buckeye lake was a great place with plenty of places on the lake for food and drinks.
This is a lovely property. Grounds are gorgeous and the unit itself was very nice & clean. It has everything you need. It was the perfect place to spend a few days before .moving our son in for his senior year. I wish we had discovered this earlier
We were looking for a place to stay for my sonâs college graduation weekend from Denison. We rented both cottages and had an absolute blast. We used the bikes, the paddle boat, the kayaks and my father was able to fish every morning off the dock. The cottages were perfectly appointed with everything you would need and were very comfortable. We loved everything about the weekend at the property. So happy we found this little piece of heaven. Check out the Buckeye Lake Winery across the lake (found out after our stay that there is a boat taxi that will take you there)! Loved it! Thank you Rick
Loved our stay at the Lake! The cottage is well-appointed. It had everything that we needed. We cooked most days so that we could enjoy our meals while looking at the lake. There are 2 porches. One ground level that provides beautiful views into the gardens/gazebos. One on the second level that looks right into the lake. Plus, there are kayaks, bikes, and a row boat available to use. There are colorful birds, ducks, cranes, and bunnies at the lake. You can sit on one of the lakeside benches and enjoy the view.
The beach is within walking distance and there are gorgeous pathways/bikeways to enjoy. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very thoughtful design and comfort. We loved the amenities within the cottage and very much enjoyed our stay.
Rick is delightful and his stories about the roller coaster/theme park were enjoyable. Plus he gave great recommendations for restaurants, activities, and dessert shops.

Uncomfortable
When we checked in the owner asked us to move out cars because his "girlfriend would be upset" if she had to park on the side he then came in the rental which was awkward however that was okay but then mentioned a homeless women the night before rummaging through things and that didn'thelp us feel safe. The front door opens to a small bedroom with a uncomfortable double bed and bathroom nicely decorated however tiny. The second floor opens to a tiny kitchen with a living area big enough for a small loveseat and a small wicker chair that's it. The third floor has a small loft bedroom with 2 single beds. The house will not accommodate 4 people comfortably but 2 and there will be no room for any company in addition there is zero privacy and dog poop from the owners dog all over the yard when walking up to the home. (The owner lives next door) One more thing we had the house booked for 5 days however had to leave on day 3 since my granddaughters Grandfather was put on life support and not expected to live I asked if he would consider a refund for one or both days and the owner declined quoting his 30 day cancelation policy. All in all we were extremely disappointed with this BNB. This in no way deters us from booking others since we have traveled all over the US and enjoyed beautiful homes.
