I stayed here at the very end of the summer season. This fully furnished, spacious apartment is ideally located at the edge of the (pedestrian) commercial zone (restaurants abound) AND within minutes of walks that lead into into mountain trails of varying duration and difficulty (i.e., easy to strenuous). For walking, cycling, hiking, or simply enjoying Oberstdorfâs awesome surroundings and abundant eateries and biergartens. Important if one prefers to prepare meals âat homeâ, the kitchen is ample sized and fully equipped. The apartment has several radiators that heat individual rooms on cool nights. It boasts a wonderful, covered balcony where one can watch the Bavarian Alps change with the morning and evening light. The open, living/dining room provides plenty of space, partly because the two bedrooms are built under the eaves, so that one needs to bend over to go to bed. The apartmentâs caretaker responded promptly to any inquiry or request. Be sure to turn on the lights when entering the attached garage to dispose of trash and recyclables.
