Sarah and Scottâs cabin is lovely! It is clean, secluded, quite, and has everything that you need plus more! Sarah and Scott are extremely friendly and welcoming! We appreciate their kindness and hospitality and would definitely stay there again!
We enjoyed our 3 nights at the cabin. Sarah helped us find the perfect distance/difficulty for a hike. The cabin is lovely and comfortable and the location is peaceful. Would definitely repeat if i go back to the area.
What an amazing spot in the Pisgah region! Great location, not far from downtown Brevard, but far enough away that it was perfectly quiet at night. Cute, well appointed cabin with a brand new heater downstairs that was just perfect to make our morning coffee, more cozy. Would definitely definitely return! Hosts were very attentive and pleasant.
We had an awesome time. The house if beautiful. It is quiet and peaceful nestled in the mountains. The house was spotless and the beds were comfy. The hosts are wonderful people. The location is very central to the town of Brevard and the Pisgah and Dupont Forests. We would recommend this place to everyone. Thank you Scott and Sarah for opening your home to us.
Unique Experience - close to so many activities/beauty
A mountain get-away that is close to so many outdoor opportunities. The owners were helpful and responsive. It is remote. Consider a GPS. You'll have everything you need in Pungo's cabin; perhaps even a visit from Pungo. He's a friendly dog.
Came down for 4 days of mountain biking with my 17 yr old daughter, her 17 yr old friend and friendâs mom. The cabin was perfect! We were out most of every day biking but it was cozy and quiet for when we got back home. Sarah and Scott were super helpful and nice - friendly but gave us our privacy too. The cabin is on their property so they were accessible but we didnât see much of them. Itâs cozy and wooded on a beautiful lot. Super quiet for sleeping. Steep windy road up to the cabin. We did fine in a full size truck. Only 10 min drive to The Hub and about 15-30 min to trails depending on which ones - great location! Sunny on the porch in late afternoon/early evening. They also provided plenty of firewood for the fire pit which was great.
Clean. Would have been nice to have a bathroom on the 2nd floor. Cob web in tray under the stove. Cookie sheets need cleaning or replacement. Would've been nice to have reading lamps in the main room. We DID enjoy our stay.
Spent four nights in Sarah & Scott's cabin.Super location for exploring the area!Quiet and cozy with plenty of greenery around.Had everything we needed and would love to return to explore more of the area.GPS brought us right to the doorstep
The cabin was perfect for our weekend trip with my son snd granddaughter. It was very clean and comfortable. Had everything that you needed. Loved siting in the swing in the morning with the cool breeze. Even got to roast marshmallows on the fire-pit.Was close to everything. Got to enjoy horseback riding and tubbing down the Davidson river. Highly recommend this cabin!!
Excellent weekend!! Cabin had everything we needed and then some! Extras were a nice touch! Our hosts were super accessible by text!! Even Biscuit gave us a warm welcome. Location super close to all we had planned! Thanks and we shall return!
We were looking for a few days of peace and quiet, and we found it at the "Quiet Cabin in the Great Outdoors!" The cabin is nicely appointed, the bed we used is comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. When we wanted to go out, Brevard was an easy 10-15 minutes drive away. We'll definitely look at staying here again, next time we visit the mountains.
Had a great stay at this beautiful cabin. The property was in an incredible location. Itâs close to all the activities and parks but also remote and quiet.
Local residents for over thirty years, we scoured the area and knew we struck gold when we found this beautiful property. My husband, a home builder by trade, and my father built this house, and we lived in it for 5 years while raising our children and building our present home. We are outdoor enthusiasts and are happy to share our knowledge of the local area with you.
This wooded property is on a mountain-top, yet 10 minutes from downtown Brevard and all its conveniences. In late Spring, our mountain explodes with mountain laurel blooms, then native rhododendron. In summer, our altitude of 2,700 feet brings temperatures typically 5-7degrees cooler than in town. Fall brings beautiful colors, and Winter has its own special quietness. We frequently see deer on the property, and a multitude of birds and squirrels, including the white squirrels for which this area is known.
This Cabin Was Lovingly Crafted and Maintained, With Owner's Unique Touches, Such As the Ornamental Rafter Tails, Bathroom Tile Imprinted With Trout, a custom tile shower, Hand-crafted Headboard Made of Re-claimed Barn Wood and Cedar, Family Artwork and Photographs of the Local Area. We Love This Cabin and Our Property, and Hope to Host Others Who Feel the Same.
