We stayed for a long weekend and the place was perfect. Everything we needed was there. It was clean and very cozy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The views from the deck were great. The sheets and towels were nice quality not cheap. We enjoyed our stay.

Happy Place!

We've been going to the Island Park area of Portsmouth, RI every year. This was our first stay at this property - it did not disappoint! The location was beautiful and quiet and just far enough away from the ice cream place to keep us healthy. Everything was super-tidy and easy to navigate. The parking would be a tight squeeze if you have a big car, but otherwise this was great!

Sweet Little Cottage

We really enjoyed the ambiance of this sweet little cottage. Situated on a salt water cove, we could enjoy the views all day long. Everything was immaculate and very well supplied with essential items. Our only disappointment was that to actually experience the water
like kayaking or fishing, it wasn’t very accessible. Very muddy beach and to us it looked pretty dangerous to try to get in. I also want to say that Denise the owner lives close by and was wonderfullly accommodating.

The Real Thing

The cottage is the real thing — an authentic New England beach cottage, with an exceptional view over a quiet cove. The cottage has everything you need, and it all works. You will be transported back 50 years (or more) to a time when neighbors respected and took care of each other, the postman stopped to catch up, kids play outside, and very few doors are locked — a real community. The local restaurants are excellent, reasonably priced, and generous in their proportions. If you want sterile luxury, go to Newport. If you want to discover something beautiful, and beautifully authentic, stay here. This is New England, so the cove has seaweed, rocks, crabs, snails, and tides but there are lovely sand beaches close by.

The owner of the property was super nice and responsive, she lives 2 houses down which is very convenient. The house had everything we needed, nice location, good size for 2 people, bedroom a great size, quiet neighborhood, easy access to Newport and other RI sites.The negatives: the sliding door needs to be replaced, hard to access the deck. The house could have been cleaner considering the cleaning fees charged. Its a cute, nicely decorated house and it should be easy enough to keep clean! The back yard is very small, and not very attractive despite being on the water, the kayaks need to be replaced, were unusable.

Charming

Location was perfect. We had a wedding in Middletown and it was a perfect distance. View of the water was amazing. The house was charming. Very clean. Looking forward to coming back, would like to stay longer. Had dinner at the Blue Anchor which was walking distance and breakfast at Graziano’s. Excellent breakfast. On the way out, stopped at Sunset Cove. The only issue was the sliding door to the back deck was hard to slide open n close ( no handle) but over all recommend this place to anyone. 5 Star Thank you.

Awesome water view

The house was perfect for our visit. It had an incredible water view of Bluebill Cove. The beds were very comfortable. I had a nice size shower, and everything was upgraded. We highly recommend staying at this location. We also had great communications with the owner. AAAA++++

All good. Clean house. Nice neighborhood and beautiful scenery in the back. My only concern was the sliding glass door was really hard to open and close, and the first time I closed it, I got stuck outside! Otherwise, would recommend.

Nice House by the Bay

Beautiful clean house within driving distance to Newport. However be aware that the home is located in a residential neighborhood with neighbors close near by surrounding the house.

Great getaway on the water!

Overall we had a really fantastic stay. The unit is right on water which was so relaxing, it’s a quiet area, we had access to the two kayaks on the property, and really enjoyed having a grill. The only issue with the yard/access to water (which is certainly not in anyone’s control) is that there were dozens of geese that would come through daily leading to the yard being covered in droppings, so we didn’t end up using it, unfortunately. We also arrived to the kitchen sink being somewhat clogged, so throughout our stay had to deal with some drainage issues. Otherwise the stay was what we needed and had hoped for!

Almost perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home on the water. The house was tidy when we arrived with just a few small exceptions and the view out on to the water could not be more perfect. Denise was incredibly helpful and super responsive when we had a little trouble getting into the house. The kayaks on the property are one of its best features and we made sure to make use of them (one is a little broken, but still very usable). We also made great use of the grill! The kitchen is missing a few essential items. The house also doesn't have central AC and only one widow AC unit, but it cooled down significantly when we left the windows open overnight to let in the cool evening air. We enjoyed getting away to Easton's Beach in Newport and taking a trip to the Cliff Walk. Thanks for a great stay!!

Lovely Beach House

We loved our stay! The house was so clean and we loved the fact that the beach was right in the back yard. It was just steps away to swim. At low tide, their was a small beach, which kept my daughter busy for hours. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. We also loved the area with the small snack stands and Island Beach. It was also a quick ride to Newport. Although we didn’t have time to use them, there was access to kayaks which was an added bonus. Overall, a great beach stay! We can’t wait to stay again!

Lovely little cottage

This was perfect for our weekend needs. We were gone during the days, but the cool evenings were lovely sitting on the deck overlooking the water. We walked to restaurants and had great meals both nights.

Great location

The stay was great, we especially loved having access to the water in the backyard. Very clean place, just wish we could’ve gotten in earlier to enjoy the area more. Overall, would highly recommend.

Our Stay

The beach house was exactly as pictured. It was extremely bright and clean, Denise, the owner, was very attentive while we were there and we used the 2 kayaks that were on the property. We had a wonderful stay, and would highly recommend this property.

Quiet getaway

Wonderful location in a quiet community. Everything in the house makes for a perfect summer getaway. Highly recommend waking up to watch the sunrise right off the porch.

Very Nice !

My wife, daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time in this lovely cottage. Very clean and had everything we needed. The back porch sits right on the water and our first night we had a beautiful view of the sunset. The cottage is updated and very clean which is usually a big concern of ours. My biggest issue going in was, the house not having A/C but when we arrived to my delight there was a portable A/C unit in the front bedroom which cooled most of the cottage especially at night. I would definitely rent this cottage again in the future. Close to Newport and many restaurants nearby.

Exactly What We Wanted

This property was everything we expected it to be! Everything was exactly how it was displayed in the pictures and we couldn't have been happier. The property was very clean and well-maintained. You can tell that the owners truly care about the experience each renter has. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this property to a friend or relative. I went with some friends and we're talking about coming back to this same property soon. There are so many activities, attractions and restaurants to enjoy near by. There are tons of kayak rentals along with boat rentals. There is also this really cool attraction where you peddle on rail tracks and get to take in your surroundings. Not to mention all of the mansions to visit in Newport. There are also endless restaurants to enjoy especially if you use the YELP app.

Great quiet spot

My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway. The place was clean and quiet. Loved being right on the water. The owner had added some nice touches to make your stay enjoyable. We were met with a nice bottle of wine. She came by later in the week and dropped off some floats so we could float in the water which is right in front of the house. It's an easy drive to beaches and Newport. Thank you for a great stay.
