Good location and host really helpful
Apartment very convenient, owner helpful and really good organization in case of late arrivals. And parking allowance provided to park in the street. It's very appreciable
Thank you for your review. I look forward to having you back in the future.
River Ness Get Away
I whole-heartedly agree with all the positive comments made by previous reviews of this property. My only minor notification to those considering this property is that it is located on a busy and rather noisy street. This does not present an issue except when sleeping on the fold-out couch in the living-room - the room faces that street and can prevent a sound sleep for people like me who are light sleepers.
A wonderful spot that is close to city centre, yet feels relaxed at the same time.
The property is a wonderful spot, set near the top of a hill where Inverness Castle is located, right by the River Ness. While I was not making use of a car, the property can offer a parking permit for a lot a short walk from the property.
I arrived by train from London via Edinburgh and Perth, and was able to walk from the train station (which is also adjacent to the city's bus station) to the property. There are a few city streets along the way that are mostly pedestrian-only, with benches lining Inglis St and High St, for those who might need to take a quick rest while walking over with their luggage.
Inside, the owners had left a basket of goodies for me, a pleasant surprise to begin my stay. The living room has TV with cable that I made use of regularly. The owners also provide a book with detailed instructions on how to use certain provided appliances such as the washing machine, or the radiators. This book also includes countless brochures on the local area so that, even if you arrived having no plan on what to do, you would be able to figure out a plan from right there in the apartment. As I visited during the winter, the hot water directions were helpful when I needed it to shower. There is also a guest book where you can leave a personal message for the owners.
The bedroom was cozy and the bed itself was quite comfortable, with a conveniently placed outlet for those who, like me, like to charge devices a bit before turning in for the night. The bathroom is very roomy (especially compared to your usual hotel bathroom), and was more than well-stocked.
The Inverness area itself was a great place to visit. I was able to get a look at the city centre, as well as book a tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. A number of tours leave from places within walking distance of the apartment, so that was another bonus to appreciate. Even though I had such a short time here, I am already looking forward to planning a return trip.
Comfortable and cozy in the perfect location
This place was absolutely perfect for my needs. It isn't fancy, but it was comfortable, cozy and absolutely perfect for wandering about. Everything you could need was all available and additional touches like milk and Prosecco in the fridge were a pleasant surprise.
Luke was really helpful and it was great to meet him.
I would highly recommend this place!
