This is our second time staying and it did not disappoint. Location is outstanding, fantastic views, access to the beach and church bay inn within 5 minutes walk. Views from the pub are amazing and the beach is outstanding. The accommodation itself is gorgeous. All amenities you would need plus so comfortable and peaceful with views that are hard to beat! We will definitely be back very soon!
In a great location a short walk from the beach, cafe, and restaurant. Lovely views with seating outside for sunny days. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break. Ample room for parking with a secure garden so we could let the dog come and go. The owner was great, responsive and very helpful when we had issues with Vrbo. Highly recommended.
A fabulous little property in a beautiful setting! Watching the sunsets from the garden is magical! The lodge is well equipped with everything you could need and was really cosy. We stayed 3 nights with our dog and had a brilliant time! Karen was a brilliant host with excellent communications and the lovely touch of leaving a traditional Welsh Bara Brith for us to enjoy! The lodge is perfectly located to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia, with the added bonus of a brilliant restaurant, The LobsterPot, just a 2 minute stroll away. The beach at Church Bay is 3 minutes and the same to the coast path. The lodge is small...the doorways are very narrow.....but it really didn't affect our enjoyment of the property. We will definitely return! Thank you for a really relaxed and peaceful stay x
Lovely and clean, well stocked with utensils etc. Close to beach with sea views. Village nice with small amount of amenities, restaurant, bar and cafe, ideal for relaxed stay. No grocery shops so car essential.
Firstly, Karen the property owner is a lovely lady....very friendly and helpful (and thank you Karen for the lovely welcome Bara Brith). Very comfortable bed, powerful shower and all the equip you would need apart from maybe an iron and toaster, but not a problem at all for a short stay. Lovely view from the living room of the bay and only a 4 minute walk to the beach. Just a perfect break and can't wait to go back đđ
We had a lovely wintry break in the lodge .
The main living area has everything needed for a short break. The sofa & chairs though tired are comfy. The cleaner could do with spending a little more time in both this & the kitchen area. Or maybe just a one off extra hr occasionally? The games are a nice added touch for an evening in as it was lovely & toasty warm. The bathroom was clean, with a super powerful shower. The bedrooms had wonderfully comfy beds & the bedding was super,I was in the twin & it was great ,proper full size singles & lovely nautical theme! The bedroom furniture was tired. The beach is lovely. Overall a great place to spend a few days by the sea & I would reccomend it.
The property is situated within a beautiful and secluded location with easy access to a local cafe (only open Thursday to Sunday), the Lobster Pot restaurant and a pub.
However the accommodation itself was not to our liking. Once inside the property feels small and claustrophobic static caravan. There is hardly any room to walk around the bedrooms as the beds take up practically all of the space. Although the beds themselves were very comfy.
All the door handles had little pads stuck on them to protect the other doors that they would bang into if you opened them too wide. This added to the slight sense of tackiness.
Some of the fittings were poorly finished with intersecting curtain poles balanced on top of one another. We did not feel that the size and finish of the property was worth the money that was being asked for. The iron was a Tesco value iron, one of the smallest I had ever seen. The shower was very powerful but only had a very small unadjustable shower head so it felt like you were showering with pins rather than water. And the shower screen was inadequate to protect the floor from getting wet.
The small garden was not fully enclosed and safe for dogs and children as implied as there were sections which had not been fenced off. Consequently we couldn't leave the dog unattended in the garden for fear of her straying off.
The communication process leading up to our arrival was rather fragmented. Though I should say that during the week leading up to our stay Karen suffered a bereavement which may explain why this didn't go smoothly. However I can only reflect on the experience that I had.
On the day of departure we were advised to bring our own towels and on arrival the internet was not working. We were told that we should had been informed before we arrived and that it would not be fixed until after our departure. We were told 'apologies but just current circumstances'.
Sea view lodge sadly did not live up to our expectations and in our opinion did not offer good value for money.
Warm greeting with a lemon drizzle cake! Everything we needed in this lovely chalet - so near to our favourite beach in Church Bay. We'll definitely want to come back.
The cottage was perfectly adequate for our needs. Heating system and kitchen appliances all worked well and it was cosy warm.
A nice touch was Karen giving us a lovely lemon drizzle cake on our arrival.
Only one point on the down side - we thought the charges for pets were a bit on the high side compared to our experience country wide.
