Après une reconstruction complète de haut en bas, cette villa a finalement été préparée pour être occupée le 6 mars 2015. Toutes les commodités et les meubles sont neufs! Construit haut "Up On The Rocks", les grandes brises de l'océan sont la norme mais pour les jours calmes, chaque chambre est équipée de grands ventilateurs de plafond. Pour assurer votre confort, des climatiseurs super silencieux sont installés dans les 2 chambres avec leurs lits Queen «Heavenly» et leurs salles de bains attenantes avec deux lavabos et des douches vitrées. Profitez de l'Internet haut débit avec WIFI, télévision par câble complète, incl. HBO, etc et un téléviseur à écran plat «intelligent». Le plan d'étage ouvert dispose de salles à manger et salon séparés par une cuisine à service complet avec cuisinière à gaz, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur avec machine à glaçons, deux lavabos, cafetière et grille-pain. Les armoires faites sur commande tiennent une rangée de casseroles, de casseroles, de plats, d'ustensiles, d'épices de base et de plus pour faciliter la cuisson, si vous choisissez. Le grand balcon couvert, peut-être votre pièce préférée, avec son barbecue à gaz, meubles de patio et chaises pour profiter confortablement de cette vue panoramique. Il y a une grande capacité laveuse et sécheuse pour votre commodité. Des chaises de plage, des serviettes et un glacier sont prêts à accueillir vos excursions quotidiennes. VIENS! & PRENDRE PLAISIR!

Perfect for two couples!

We loved our stay at Up On The Rocks! The house was well-equipped and a great location with a beautiful view. We spent many hours on the porch when we weren’t touring the island! We would stay there again.

Lovely villa, spectacular view

Up on the Rocks is lovely, with comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and nicely-landscaped grounds. The property manager, Henry, was responsive and friendly. Terrific view. The driveway is very steep and takes some getting used to.

Beautiful views and close to beaches

Great location and views. Only downside is driveway is very challenging and requires an SUV otherwise great place to stay with 2 couples!

Great place to relax

Overall nice house! Location allows for quick access to town. It was nice to have my kids on the same level of the house. I have no complaints about this house or stay.

Absolutely loved this place!

So relaxing. It is the perfect setup for 2 couples. The view is lovely. Town is very close if you need to run in. I will say the driveway is crazy but we had fun navigating it. Everything we needed in the house was there. Super responsive and answered any questions we had about the island. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

Fabulous find!

We loved our stay here. Henry was great. We caught a late ferry and he took care of getting the jeep for us. The house is perfect for 2 friends or 2 couples - 2 comfortable queen beds and 2 bathrooms. The property was clean and close to Cruz Bay. Gorgeous view and quiet neighborhood. This is a totally great place and we are so happy we found it.

Spectacular Views

We loved our stay at Up on the Rocks. It was very clean and comfortable. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed most of our time outside on the deck. The breeze is nice but we were definitely grateful for the AC in the bedrooms while we slept. It’s conveniently located to downtown and the road to all of the beaches. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

“Up on the rocks” was amazing. Great views. Lovely landscape and SUPER clean with everything you need. Great location. Close to the quaint town of Cruz Bay and all of the GORGEOUS North shore beaches. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Great views and close to Cruz Bay

Our accommodations were exactly as we expected. The tropical breezes on the deck were perfect. Very relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were perfect. The location was close to town so shopping, food and groceries were easily accessible. It was very convenient to be close to the car ferry too. Driving to the beaches was very easy. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The villa was perfect upon arrival with a view that is unsurpassed.

Up On The Rocks is perfect in every way. Location and view couldn’t be better. The villa is equipped with everything you could possible need including an umbrella which we used almost everyday. This was our second stay here and we will be back.

Heavenly!

We absolutely loved staying at Up on the Rocks. Our family of 4 stayed for 8 nights and we would definitely book it again. The view from the porch was our favorite place to hang out in the morning and evening. The views and breezes were amazing! The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were nice and spacious. We did lots of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked and roomy. I miss it already!

Lovin' Up On The Rocks!

Communication prior to our arrival was fantastic! We knew just what to do and what to expect when we arrived. Henry was gracious and met us at our Jeep rental location and guided us to UP ON THE ROCKS. Upon our arrival, he made sure we knew where everything was and that we were comfortable. He was available for any questions we had. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

Paradise Found (again)

This was our FOURTH stay in this villa. The deck with the awesome view is where you'll spend much of your time. But the rest of the villa is of high quality. In my opinion, this villa hits the sweet spot for value-for-the-money: You can pay less and get something not near as good or you can pay more and get something only slightly better.

This property was perfect for 4 people. The house was clean and well equipped with coolers, ice packs, Turkish beach towels and beach chairs. The AC was great in the bedrooms, but the main living area was very warm, despite the fans being on. We preferred to keep the sliding doors and windows closed in the living area due to the mosquitoes. The driveway is VERY steep. Tip: adjust your side view mirrors and then back in carefully with jeep in 4 wheel drive. The owner, Henry, was very accommodating and easily accessible to answer any questions. We enjoyed our 10 day stay at Up On The Rocks!

Contemporary rental with an awesome porch

We enjoyed our stay Up on the Rocks. The place was very well-decorated and nicely equipped with everything you could want for a stay. The deck out front is great, a perfect place to hang out anytime. It is a 30 minute hilly walk from town so a car is important - and essential to get to the beaches on the far side of St. John. However we were only able to rent one for 3 out of our 7 days. However we found that by walking down to the main road, about a block from the house, we were able to catch a taxi with no problem as they are driving by often.

Just as beautiful as the pictures!

We could not have been happier with our stay. The house was perfect for 2 couples. We started every morning with coffee on the expansive porch, which had comfortable seating for lounging or breakfast. The porch was also perfect for enjoying a beer or drink after a day at the wonderful beaches of St. John. The kitchen was fully applianced and the gas grill availability was great. Our communication with Becki and Henry was great and nothing was left unanswered before or during our stay. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped (towels, beach chairs, cooler) for a day at the beach. Easy access by car to 2 markets, restaurants, shopping and beaches. Thanks for everything! We will definitely be returning to Up On The Rocks!

It’s all about the view from the deck!

Lovely villa that is nicely appointed. Very convenient to all the dining, shopping, and off island excursions in Cruz Bay. Best feature is the amazing view from the porch that you will never get enough of! Also a plus to have laundry on site and great drinking water. The villa has recent updates and everything you need is there. Kitchen well appointed for cooking and grilling. We grilled some Blackfin tuna we caught with a morning of off shore trolling with capt. Josh on his 42’ boat Just Fish. Highly recommend his outfit. Henry was very helpful and laidback in the St John way. The toughest part is leaving! But without a doubt we will return.

Wonderful place to stay, managed by wonderful people!

We recently stayed for a little over a week at Up on the Rocks. We could not have asked for a better place to stay! During the booking phase Randy answered all of questions quickly and was extremely helpful. The week before our stay we decided to change our Jeep rental from renting on St Thomas to renting in St John. Larissa was great in giving us info on jeep rentals in St John and even gave us the number of a taxi driver on St Thomas. When we arrived on St John, Henry was waiting for us on the dock. He waited for us to get our rental and then showed us to the house. At the house he pointed out a few things that you can see from the amazing deck and even the told us the best gas station to use! Everyone was wonderful, everything was wonderful and we had a great trip to St John! We are already talking about returning to Up on the Rocks!!

Fantastic

Up on the Rocks is 5 stars. We've stayed at many vacation rentals and this is one of the all-around best. Recently renovated so everything's modern and SUPER clean, close to downtown Cruz Bay yet peaceful enough to enjoy the sound of crickets and tree frogs at night. Kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, tinfoil, dish soap, etc. The covered deck provides incredible views of Great Cruz Bay! We barbecued a lot on the grill while enjoying cocktails and the view from the comfy outdoor furniture. The bedroom A/C was quiet and operated flawlessly; the beds were very comfy. We also used the new washer and dryer and were happy that detergent and dryer sheets were available. Lastly, I must mention the sweet kitty that visited daily on the deck :) Of course we fed and named her Rocky...she helped fill the void of missing our own pets. We loved the villa and would definitely recommend it!!

A/C will freeze you out

Just returned from here and we loved it. We have a great view to sit out at night and watch the lights and watch the morning and afternoon views. The actual place is top notch renovation. They had everything you could possibly want. I am a home designer and wife is a real estate agent and the place is fantastic and comfortable, meaning we know our dwellings. The A/C in the bedrooms with the door shut will freeze you out, which if you have had a hot day, is a welcome night sleep. (My last visit to St John the A/C at a different villa went out and it was miserable. I thought the driveway was going to be an issue but after the 1st time and making it up backwards, I was a pro at it. This place is great for 2 couples with the split rooms and bathrooms. Gives each their own privacy. Definitely recommend this villa P.S. the villa kitty is friendly.

Worth every cent!

We can't stress enough how great our stay was at Up On The Rocks in St. John. If you are looking for a place to stay worry free, this is the place for you. The house had everything we needed and beyond! The deck with the gorgeous views was probably my favorite part of the house. Henry from Sol Villas was so nice to work with. He met us at the ferry dock, brought us to our car rental and to the house rental. He gave us tips on where to go, what to see, and was always available by cell phone if you needed him. Maho beach was our favorite beach, calm waters, the views are phenomenal, and it never gets old seeing sea turtles swimming around. Make sure to have snorkeling gear. There are plenty of places you can rent them on the island. It makes the experience so much better. Starfish Market was our market of choice for groceries. They had a good selection of meats and seafood and had a good variety of gluten free food if you are on a gluten free diet. All the restaurants on the island are great, but my favorite is Rhumb Lines. Its a Thai restaurant with Caribbean flare that is wonderful. Their food is typically spicy but they are really good about reducing the spice for you. Randy, thank you again for everything.

Our California home had a beautiful view of the Pacific but our lives in the civilized world were corporate encrusted, freeway driven, and mall dominated. When a business opportunity arose in the year 2000, we took a leap of faith and traded our Catalina Island view for a view of St Croix and a less complicated not so 'civilized' life in the islands. This beautiful paradise called St. John is a wonderful place to be. We like to tell first time visitors to the island: "Not many people come to St. John, just once!" It's true.

This villa is literally built 'Up On The Rocks', actually, huge boulders. These boulders and rock cliffs that make up the property provide quite a unique back drop. The home was rebuilt to be attractive to guests that insist on nicely appointed and comfortable accommodations but are also budget conscious. "Up On The Rocks" is the ideal choice for the informed island visitors who prefer to spend their time and budget at the 35 beautiful beaches and on the pristine waters that make the island such a famous place, instead of, at the villa or resort pool.
