Such a great house to stay in for a peaceful vacation! Lots of room and very quiet. Great location, with easy access to the quaintness of Westport from the village to the sea. Highly recommended.
We were very pleased with the size of the house. We were 8 people and we had enough room to feel comfortable and not on top of each other. We stayed 5 nights for a graduation from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and another ceremony at the University Of Rhode Island. The house was centrally locate between both universities. We had to contact Lynn with a few questions about the house. She got back to us quickly. She was very helpful with suggestions for the local area.
Our stay (6 adults & 2 teens) was very pleasant overall. The location and rooms accomodated the 8 of us. While there were a few minor points of error in the house notes provided, the host was excellent in responding and answering questions we had.
Place had everything we could have needed for our week stay for early April 2018. Despite all types of weather including snow we enjoyed a restful stay, so quiet and calm. Westport was a delight as well as many places nearby. This place is a the top of our all our VRBO stays which total 7 over the years.
Very spacious with opportunities for solitude and togetherness. Great hot water and showers, comfy sofa and porch furniture. The house is back from the street which is not busy but it doesnât have much of a shoulder for walking. There are a variety of conservation areas close by.
I had never been to this part of Massachusetts before. Westport is beautiful countryside fields and so many beautiful stone walls and only 15 minutes from Horseneck Beach state reservation, which is an extremely long beach with piping clovers and birds galore.
We went to the Lizzie Borden house in Fall River and went to the wailing Museum in new Bedford, both of which I highly recommend. We went birding at the many nearby sanctuaries. The house was excellent, fully accessible for our group which included a wheelchair user. It is so difficult to find places for us to go as a group with a wheelchair user and this was, excellent. We enjoyed the fire pit and just gazing out at the beautiful field from the deck where we saw deer three or four times weâd love to come back.
From the moment of our arrival, this Lovely Home was most Welcoming! Set back from the road, the location gives privacy and a pretty setting! And the weather was New England Spring, at its Best!
Once, you enter, again it is Most Welcoming with the Spacious Sun Filled Living Room and the Openess! It is actually one large room with the Living room, dining room and Kitchen all together - so the cooks can always feel part of the gathering! Then, there is the wonderful screened in porch off of the dining area!
Again, everything has been So Well thought out with Comfort and Simplicity being at the Heart of this Home!
The Beautiful Art work enhances all so well!
Then the two downstairs Bedrooms and Full Bath and Laundry Room just make Life that much easier!
You will have to discover the upstairs and lower areas that seem to go on forever on your own, if You are Fortunate enough to stay at this Charming Home!!
We Thank the Owners for the opportunity to enjoy this Westport Gem of a Home and we would Love to return!!
Wonderful home in lovely location. Close to beaches and scenic views. Nice, peaceful area. Lots of great restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. Will definitely be back!
Everything was as advertised, no surprises. Small problem with the Wi-Fi was fixed almost immediately. Lynne was very pleasant to deal with. Could not ask for a better location. The property was well appointed, beautiful deck for sitting sunbathing or entertaining. Plenty of room for kids to run around outside. Great value!
We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Lots of room to accommodate a big family and bathrooms as well! Close to beach, shopping, and sightseeing. We will be back next year!
Had a wonderful time, house was perfect for our needs. My granddaughter got to build her first snowman and do a little sleigh riding down the little hill in the front yard. House had everything we needed.
Everything listed on property details are accurate and stay was flawless. Property isbeaitifull along with having ample space for a very large gathering of people. Being only myself, wife and our four legged fur baby, we had more than enough room to be comfortable during our week long stay. Location is fantastic, delightfully rural/rustic with plenty of space for your fur baby to run around and very short drives to area attractions for the cape, Providence and Boston. We hope to return again to this owners very well maintained property.
This is a wonderful house -- comfortable, clean and well-furnished with essentials. It is in a wooded, secluded place, close to the most beautiful places imaginable: beaches, rivers, woods, farms, etc. We hope to return.
The house was nicely kitted out.
Obviously, I
A nicely kitted-out home, with a warm, family vibe. It's a short drive to amenities, farm stands, or beaches and conservation areas. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This house was perfect for our family of 10, including 4 children, ages 8-12. It was spacious and open and the screen porch and lovely grounds enabled board games and lawn croquet. Linens were plentiful, appliances worked well (except for the vacuum cleaner whose power nozzle floor brush did not turn). All in all, it was a superb experience. Thank you, John Russell
My family and I stayed here over the winter holidays. It was a very convenient location to shopping, restaurants, and my local family members. The house is beautiful and well maintained. If you stay in the summer, it is close to beaches. Having the 3 bathrooms was a nice bonus too.
I give this place a 5 star.
Beautiful and very clean. Has all the essentials that is needed plus more. Not far from shops and beaches.
My family look forward to going back
This was our second stay in this beautiful home. Our first visit was in December 2017, when our family travelled from FL back home for the holidays for the first time in 6 years. We had such an amazing experience that we immediately reserved our next trip (May 10 - 21) bringing us back to MA for my son's wedding and my daughter's bridal shower. We needed accommodations for 6 adults and had more than enough space. It was fun to spend the time with my adult children and their spouses preparing for all the festivities under one roof. We love this place!
