This was an absolutely awesome villa! The views were spectacular. A short walk brought us to a beautiful beach. We were a group of six-3 generations. We all enjoyed staying here very much.
The photos don't entirely do it justice. Very private and peaceful but well located for everything. The outside spaces are amazing - lots of different spots to sit and chill and a beautiful view over to the beach. The lake was completely dry when we stayed so a 2 minute walk straight across to the ocean. Inside it's cleverly laid out on split levels to maximise space. Owners were very helpful and accomodating.
This is an excellent well equipped villa with everything you could possibly need and exactly as described. The beaches on the island are as good as they get including the one closest to the house which is very quiet. Naxos town is stunning with a picture postcard old town. Highly recommended.
Lovely villa, plenty of space for 4 teenagers. A few restaurants and a shop near by but not a town. Needed a car to get around. Villa itself was great with a lovely pool and excelllent outdoor space to spread out.
Everything (description, cleaness, Service, etc.) was and is perfect. Calmness, no crowdy, Naxos is the last Island in Greece without mass Tourismus. Perfect for individually travellers.
Please a new matress in the master bedroom upstairs- Villa Bella deserves 7 stars!!!!!
We come back - garanteed!
I hired Villa Bella for 10 days over Easter. The house was everything the advert describes. It was also beautifully maintained and very clean. The agent was attentive to our every need and easy to contact. We have small children so one of the issues we had was making sure they were supervised at all times because the pool is not fenced off. This may put people off and is certainly something to consider when making a booking, but it didn't curb our enjoyment of the house at all.
I would strongly recommend hiring a car as most facilities are a car ride away.
We went in April. It was still too cool to swim unless you are quite hardy! Lots of places had still not opened. I would recommend going from the end of April onwards. We found Naxos very windy which I am guessing could be a relief at the height of the season.
There is a taverna over the road run by a charming lady called Maria. She doesn't speak much English but it doesn't matter. The restaurants are expensive without exception- even Maria's little taverna but the food is always delicious. Maria even gave us some fresh eggs and lemons off her tree!
For sheltered beaches turn right out of the Villa and drive about 1km to Alyko. Glyfada is not as sheltered but it's really lovely.
The advert suggests it's possible to wade acrss the lagoon to the beach. I would dispute this. There are pricky plants all along the waters edge and lots of sandy mud. But the beach is walking distance if you are not carrying loads of stuff- or a short car ride.
Chora (the main town) is lovely and we spent a lot of time there- the archeological museum is well worth a look and the labyrinthine streets are charming.
Villa Bella is remote and lovely. It's not a holiday home for people looking for bright lights and parties! It's spacious and comfortable and a wonderful place to get away from everything. The sunsets are magnificent and it's a great place to unwind.
Thanks!
We had an amazing time in this villa. Well equiped the house is perfectly located on the beach front.
We were 2 family of 5 with teanagers and we could fit easily.
Glyfada beach is well presevered from mass tourism.
Both Property manager and owner have been super helfull.
This is a 5 star for us.
My husband and I loved our stay at Steiner's rural Naxos house. The house was very well equipped and clean. However, the outside living space is the real star of the show. Multiple dining areas, a hammock cabana and the beautiful pool. Not to mention the spectacular views from the roof top. The house is situated about 25 minutes outside of the bustle of Naxos which was perfect for us. Within a kilometer there are 3 fabulous restaurants, a well stocked grocery store and multiple beaches. No need to travel far.
The only improvement I could suggest is that the beds (especially in the upstairs master bedroom) are very hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise, a perfect, private getaway spot!
Wonderful setting for familes and especially kiter
We stayed at Steinar's home in the summer of 2015 and loved it. The solitute and direct beach access with a pool at the water front was great. It's first a lagoon in front of you and then the beach but the description provided is accurate. For kiting it's the ultimate. Walk right onto the kite beach (nobody but maybe 5 kiters at this spot). Down in Naxos beach is where you'll have 80 kiters and the schools. Easy to get to though by car or quad (if you rent one). Great little restaurants arounds Naxos to enjoy. Pool and deck are clean as well as house. Enjoyed late nights on the open terrace gazing at the stars and "feeling" the Greek life. If you're a kiter with kids (who kite or not), this is the place for all to relax. Go shopping, buy food at the grocery store. Kite in the morning, have lunch, kite after a snooze....That's a vacation!
Thanks Steinar from Switzerland!
An idyllic location overlooking a beautiful beach.
The house is comfortable, very clean and well-equipped, but the real joy of Villa Bella is the outside space. The patio is a wide open terrace with a good pool, plenty of shade and lovely views. A little wooden gate leads from the patio directly down to the beach. The beach, even in August, was practically deserted and completely undeveloped. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets over Paros each evening.
There is plenty to discover on Naxos. We travelled around the island quite a bit and visited some remote villages. We enjoyed the museums in the main town. We had a fantastic day sailing on a catamaran around some of the smaller islands.
We did some windsurfing at Kastraki Beach - but some days it was just too windy, so we did not do as much as we had hoped.
The shop/cafe is only five minutes' walk away and stocked a good supply of fresh fruit and vegetables, and freshly-baked bread.
There a plenty of tavernas and small restaurants along the coast and inland. Most of the other holidaymakers were Greek and Naxos feels totally unspoiled by mass tourism.
We had excellent communication with the owner and with his agent on Naxos. Very professional.
I would highly recommend Villa Bella.
Great villa, beautiful view for a perfect holiday!
We stayed, with our 2 daughters, friends and grandson (3 month's) and had a perfect holiday, it is a one minute stroll to the beach, the villa is very well furnished and there are (at least) 3 terrasses and a (clean!) and nice pool to play and swim.
Enough nice restaurants near by (but you need a rental car). We windsurfed a lot, drank to much and had a wonderful family holiday. For us there were no minor points!
We were two familys staying in wonderful Villa Bella in mid October 2012.
The villa was beautiful and
spacious and had everything you needed. The quite location overlooking the beach with the most fantastisc sunsets was stunning.
The outside terrace area with a great pool was also much enjoyed.
Both Steinar the owner and the local guide were really helpful with everything and we got some good recommendations about what to do on this wonderfuld island. Most restaurants were closed but there were two very good local tavernas nearby. A wonderful place which we would like to return to.
I stayed at the Villa Bella in Naxos in August 2012 and was very pleased. My family and I enjoyed the villa, the swimming pool, the beach, and the sweetness of life in the Greek Islands. The best part of our stay was probably when we took a boat and went on a trip to Santorini. The villa itself is quite pleasant, nicely furnished and very well located. It was a pleasure to be able to go to the beach on foot. Inside, it was cool and comfortable. Outside, the swimming pool and the chairs were very pleasant, and we enjoyed waking up early to watch the see from the terrace. The only inconvenient was the houses under construction next to the villa, but I think they will be completed before the spring of 2013, so it should not be an issue. Overall, I strongly recommend this villa.
3.09-10.09 2011.
We were 8 people (60+) and had a marvellous week at Villa Bella. The villa is very well equipped and we enjoyed the warm nights on the terrace. The location is perfect and if you wish an alternative to the pool, I will recommend the beaches at Vikri Migla (5 min drive). I can aso recommend the local family-restaurant (Maria - 100 meters away) with good food and a real friendly, greek atmosphere. If you intend to go to the Cyclades, do not hesitate to book this excellent villa.

A fantastic week in Naxos (July 2010)
Spent a week with a family of 2 adults and 3 kids (11, 8, and 7 years). The weather was great and it was ideal to have the pool close at hand when the wind was too strong for spending the day at the beach. There is plenty to do in the area and nothing is too far to get to by car. We visited 3 different beaches and each one was different. The best sand beaches were along the south coast.
The agent was very helpful first receiving us as we got off the ferry, accompanying us to the villa, and finally explaining the area and recommendations on what to do, where to shop, and local restaurants. The villa itseslf was very clean and modern with plenty of space to spread out. The owner was very responsive to all communication and sent a very informative package of information well in advance to help us plan the holiday.
All in all, it was all we could have asked for and more. A very strong recommendation on this rental.
