Welcome to paradise! New Smyrna is where the locals go to soak up some sun, breathe in the fresh salty air, and enjoy sunsets on the white sandy beaches. This quaint bungalow home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the ocean. You can cruise over on the beach bikes provided, take a nice brisk walk, or hop in your car and be there in minutes. There is a nice parking lot with showers and a bathroom right by the closest beach ramp. There is a no drive beach section, which makes it nice and kid friendly!

This home is warm and inviting with an island feel and cozy bedding. Everything you need to enjoy a fantastic vacation is there, so pack lightly. We provide a beach umbrella, beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc...It is located right on a water canal that leads to the intracoastal. The beach home has french doors that open up to the large screened-in pool with hot tub, an inviting backyard, and it faces the sunset. A new private covered boat dock is great for launching your flats boat, canoe, dropping a crab trap or just casting right from there. A built in bench puts you right over the water facing the mangroves and sunset.

Take a cruise down the canal in the canoe for two (provided) and you will be amazed at the type of wildlife you will see, and there are dolphin swimming on the regular. The fish are jumping, so you fishermen out there, drop your flats boat down the ramp and head out for a great adventure. You may just want to lounge around in some beach chairs and watch the pelicans dive down for some fish. Have kids? There are plenty of toys and activities for the little ones to enjoy. Harley Davidson anyone? New Smyrna is a great time during bike week!! In the mood for music? You can usually find a live band playing at one of your local hot spots right on the ocean. Head down to Flagler Ave (about 3-4 miles down) and enjoy a quaint little town with shops, ice cream, pottery, etc..The new revitalized Canal street with a local feel has a great weekly Farmer's Market, Art Festivals, and brewery! Check out events in New Smyrna for wine and beer tours.

Wonderful Stay

Had a wonderful relaxing stay. Lots of fun canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding in the lagoon. Beach was in walking distance. Pool and hot tub are great to use after hot day in sun.

Relaxing Stay

Absolutely loved this vacation! House was great. My family said it was their favorite spot so far. The pool was fantastic as well as the dock, just remember to use bug spray! There is also plenty of supplies to use in the kitchen and throughout the house. Host was great!

Fisherman's Dream is just that!

Clean, great for our 1 year old. Would recommend requesting heat for the pool. Hot tub and fishing dock were great! Would recommend!!

We loved our stay!

We enjoyed a fabulous vacation at this home. The owners have everything stocked with anything you could possibly need to be comfortable and have fun. We fished off the dock, swam in the pool, and enjoyed family game nights. No issues with our stay and the owner was very responsive. We felt right at home. My only recommendation would be a step stool in the bedroom as the bed sits up high and is difficult for shorter or older guests to get in the bed. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! If we are ever back in the area.... we will certainly book again. We highly recommend this property!

Awesome House

We had a really good time at Fisherman's Dream. The house had everything you could ever need. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal, the pool was great, we fished off the dock a little and caught a few fish. There were movies, books, and some toys for kids. The kids room had bunk beds a toddler bed, and a trundle bed too. The beach was close. We went to many different restaurants. We walked on Canal street and Flagler Avenue. Most places were within 10-15 Min. The host was very responsive. We would stay here again.

Family vacation

We stayed there a week and the place is beautiful. It is down on the lower end of New Smyrna near the park ( turtle mound) where the beaches are more private and quiet. Beach acess is within walking distance a few blocks away across Atlantic Ave on Watts St. Great jogging onthe beach! The house is about 30 years old but updated, and well cared for, located on a quiet street newer homes in the 500K range. There is a heated pool and hot tub. Grocery ( Food Lion) store is 1.5 miles away.Nicely deocrated. Everything you need is there. A Great Place!

Perfect for a family!!

This was a beautiful, quiet location. It was right up to the canal. The private pool and hot tub were fantastic!! My family (4 adults and a toddler) we so happy with the house. The amenities were perfect for us, including the toddler bed! A few minutes down the road is a park with an amazing viewing area of manatees and dolphins. It was like our free own wildlife park. The only thing I would change is to have enough bath and beach towels for the max number of people in the house. But, that is so minor. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Loved this house!! The listing information was accurate, and the house was clean. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Relaxing peaceful and fun vacation

We had a wonderful time here. From riding bikes to the beach, kayaking, fishing, boating to Disappearing Island and swimming and entertaining guests to relaxing in the hot tub! Definitely recommend it!

Perfect

We had so much fun in the pool and hot tub. Even caught some catfish and tilapia off the dock, even got the paddle board out in the canal and had a blast. My daughter had fun catching lizards. 10/10 would recommend and return. The beach was under a ten minute walk also which was amazing.

Great home to getaway, recharge and connect!

My husband, father-in-law and I booked Laurie's place for 5 nights and it was everything we needed it to be and more! The house was spotless upon arrival, and we appreciated the extra steps that were taken to ensure guest safety during the pandemic. The house was more than equipped with all the standard necessities. From kitchenware and appliances to comfortable bedding and plenty of towels, to all the beach items and toys you could ever want. The space was ample for our family to enjoy time together, as well as apart when we needed some me-time. We spent most of our time hanging out outside by or in the pool, watching the sun set over the Lagoon, or gathered around the kitchen island enjoying a nice home-cooked meal. Communication with Laurie was great before and throughout our stay. We had a little issue with a breaker the first night, and Laurie was very prompt to respond and helped us resolve it in no time. She even purchased new beach chairs and sent them to the house, as their previous chairs had bit the dust before we arrived. All in all, we loved our stay at Laurie's house and will definitely recommend and rebook next time we are in NSB.

Beautiful clean home

The house was beautiful and clean. Everything plus more was available for us. Loved the private pool. The neighborhood was quiet and people were friendly. 5 minutes to the beach or store. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beach home paradise

This home was just what my family needed. New Smyrna is a quiet beach town and this home is both close to the beach and also tucked away in a residential area. It was truly a home away from home with everything a family would need to be comfortable. My twin toddlers loved the bunk beds and the pool felt very safe (shallow end about 3 feet). My wife and I were in love with the king bed and high quality bedding. We went every morning to the Hiles beach access and the new smyrna tide pools are great for kids and just lounging. We ventured out to Canaveral seashore state park and enjoyed the gorgeous untouched landscapes. The home is very close to JB Fish Camp that is great for seafood and views of the Lagoon side. Overall so happy with getting to experience this home and can't wait to come back!

This was a fantastic place to stay! It had everything we could have possibly wanted or needed. We definitely took advantage of the pool and our teenage girls loved taking out the canoe and exploring. Thank you for a wonderful restful vacation.

Perfect family getaway

This was a perfect getaway for our family. The home is beautiful and is just as described. Laurie was so wonderful, always responded to questions and offering helpful information. The fishing was awesome and kept us wanting more. Easy access to the beach. Our family made great memories and didn’t want to leave!

Beach House Getaway

We had a great time staying at this property. We especially loved the pool and hot tub and had fun canoeing along the mangroves. The house was not cleaned properly when we arrived, but when we notified the host she was quick to have it corrected. It was very convenient to have access to the beach supplies: chairs (some were broken but there were enough to be used), umbrellas, boogie boards, skim board, and even surf board. We would stay here again in the future.

Very nice, lake house near beach

Property was great, clean and inviting. Everything you need kitchen wise is there. We stayed out on the dock in back a lot of the time. Caught lots of catfish and bluegill with the 2 fishing poles that were provided. Even a few crab! Pool was nice as well as hot tub once we figured out how to adjust the temp(thanks to the great communication from owners, when we couldn’t figure it out). House is only about 3 mins or so from the beach. We used the dollar general market around the corner on S. Atlantic Avenue for groceries and they add everything from produce to pastries. I would recommend them over Publix as they are very pricey and Walmart which is quite a distance from the home. We ate at NSB sea shack and the food, especially the wood baked pizza is absolutely amazing. We went on Sunday and Wednesday for customer appreciation day in which a lot of they menu is 50% off for dine in guest including the pizzas.

Amazing place with great amenities, wonderful dock for fishing. Beach a stones throw away. Chief kitchen! Pool was great... Everything about this home was amazing! We will be coming back very soon!

Fish, Swim, Relax

We had a great stay. We caught fish right off the dock and when we ventured out into the many surrounding creeks. Cooled off in the pool and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. The house was roomy and comfortable. Modern kitchen and bathrooms. Easily 5 stars.

Always so easy

This was our 3rd year at this super cute house. Laurie is very detailed and easy to reach if needed. My daughter loves the pool and my husband loves the dock on the canal. Super close to the beach and New Smyrna has many cute businesses to check out.

A great stay.

We have stayed in over a dozen condos, houses, and cabins over the years. And this was the best place we've stayed yet. The beds were comfortable. Everything was modern and functional (not always the case), and this house had everything we needed. We have already started working on booking for next year.

We are an active family of 5 that loves to fish, bike, surf, paddle board, go boating and boogie boarding. We fell in love with New Smyrna for it's little surf town feel, good restaurants, fishing, farmer's market, festivals, and so much family fun! We have seen manatee right in our back yard and dolphin right around the corner. We have caught red fish, trout and even a tarpon right off the dock! We try to make our home as comfortable as possible and continuously make improvements when able. We would love to have you enjoy our home as much as we do!

We bought this property due to its location away from the driving section of the beach, safe walking distance for the family, and right on the canal. It has a peaceful vibe and the sunsets are gorgeous! We are away from the hustle and bustle, but a few miles for a great night out!
