Absolutely incredible stay! Couldn’t have imagined a more relaxing time up north! Thank you so much!
We had an absolutely amazing time! It was just the get away that we were looking for. We wanted a relaxing weekend away from south east Michigan city life and have a “cabin in the woods” vacation. This property met it and even exceeded our expectations. We loved the fire place in the living room and the large windows to see the snow and leaves outside. We brought our young golden retriever and had such fun going for walks. The property had canoes (although it was too cold to use them) and the owner was very accommodating! Overall, just a fantastic time! And there is a nice local food market called Tom’s that is right down the road, and you can cook up all sorts in the property.
The cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway!Great location, so cozy and comfortable.
The cottage was a perfect location, close to Traverse City and great shops and restaurants. The inside was cozy and inviting and the wood burning stove was perfect. Loved that it was dog friendly. Very clean and had everything we needed. Working with Nancy was great, so timely and friendly and accommodating. We are definitely going to be staying here again!
Cottage in the woods
Cottage was very nice and was more than we had hoped for. For a quaint space, it kept delivering on everything we had hoped for. We came up for the color change and were not disappointed by the area and the cottage was the perfect location for hitting all the sights along the way. Nancy was very accommodating and responsive. The perfect host.
It was great little cabin . Only if we could of control the weather it would of been perfect.Very clean and well stocked .
Quiet, cozy retreat
My husband and I rented this cottage for a few nights after our wedding in mid-September. It was the perfect place to get away to after a hectic few months of wedding planning and preparation. We told Nancy that we planned to drive up from Grand Rapids the night of the wedding and wouldn't arrive until late, so she made sure we knew where to find a spare key and left the outside light on for us.
The cottage was small, but there was plenty of room for the two of us. It was cozy and well-equipped with pretty much all the basics that you might need - bedding, towels, cookware, dinnerware, and even some basic cooking items like spices, oil, sugar, etc.
There were several other homes nearby, but the area was very quiet, and we hardly saw anybody else the whole time we were there. Despite feeling like we were in the middle of the woods at the cottage, we were still close to everything we needed. The local grocery store, a gas station, and several restaurants were only a few minutes away in Interlochen. The only negative would be that the mosquitoes were pretty bad (not surprising since we were in the woods right next to a lake), so just make sure to bring bug spray! Other than that, the cottage was a wonderful little retreat for us, and Nancy was a considerate, kind, and helpful host. We would definitely stay here again!
The cottage was super cute and cozy. We felt very comfortable!
We felt very welcomed by Nancy! She was a wonderful host. We felt right at home. The cottage is very comfortable and gave us a very nice getaway! We will be back. Thank you so much!
