Great property. Steep driveway but that's the norm in st lucia. Beautiful view of the pitons, village and ocean. Really nice house, liked the wood window shutters! Suitable for a large family lots of room and privacy. Host was excellent. Will stay again!!
The views from this house are unbeatable! We loved being able to sit and take in the Piton views all day long. The new deck was spectacular and perfect for daily yoga.
Our family enjoyed our week at this villa with a comfortably stocked kitchen and plenty of open air space. The driveway was a fun challenge, but manageable.
Thank you to Shonda for checking on us and keeping the kitchen tidy.
We stayed here in July for the second half of our trip in St. Lucia and we couldnât be happier! The home was so cozy and comfortable and the decor/style was beautiful! The owner was so easy to communicate with and the property manager met us at the home to show us around. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even brought us lighter fluid when none was to be found in any grocery store. Everything you need to cook and relax is in the home. The road and driveway up to the house is a bit scary but after doing it once, itâs easy. There are a lot of steps to get up to the house but itâs not so bad once youâre up and see the most gorgeous views of the ocean and Pitons! SoufriĂšre was such a sweet town and the people are amazing. The home is open air with portable cooling fans but itâs not so bad (even for people like us that like sleeping in temps of 66-67 degrees). All the beds had mosquito nets and we were never bit at night while sleeping, so that was a plus! The only complaint we had was not booking this house for a longer stay! Thank you, Leon, for hosting us!
Fabulous location, but you will need to get drives to Soufriere as the site is up in the steep hills.
Zack was the hero for us. He was Leons driver, but ended up being our property manager, general tour guide and friend , he organized drives for us and also cooked us a sublime meal with his lovely wife. Zack is essential as the property manager is effectively non existent.
Leon is not a great communicator so you may find you have to repeatedly ask him questions as often no response provided, but he does eventually get there. The kitchen is very sparsely equipped for such an expensive rental and he would do well to add more dishes, measuring cups etc. But don't let that put you off, these are minor complaints ( which hopefully will be corrected soon) and the place really is a slice of heaven.
Highly recommended
Loved everything about this villa and the team that help run it. Communication with Leon has been great from the moment we booked. David the villa manager and his team helped us get around and gave us plenty of information on what to do, where to go and eat etc.
The view is simply incredible and all rooms lead out on to the balcony facing the Pitons, the smallest Piton being closest. We were absolutely blown away by the view and the pictures do not do enough justice! Recommend a hike up Gros Piton which looks daunting but ok to do at 7am when it is cooler.
We spent most of our time eating in Soufriere as it was a 5 minute drive from the villa ($20EC in a taxi for 4 adults). We walked it in 35 minutes as it is a steep yet beautiful road to go down. Highly recommend Fedoâs, Petit Peak and Sea View Creole Restaurant for lunch. Hummingbird Restaurant was nice but overpriced for being the beach side of the bridge. We went to Anse Chastanet for the day and ate lunch at he beach restaurant. This is the location of Jade Mountain where you pay $11US for snorkelling which was great! Anse Chastenet is close to the villa but a rough road to go on so recommend a water taxi. We paid $80EC each way. The taxi is the same price but a really rough road and taxi drivers are reluctant at to take people there. Marigot Bay we drove to which was also stunning and a short drive from the villa as was Anse De La Raye.
Recommend hiring a 4x4 as you will struggle getting around otherwise and spend a fortune on cabs. You can see the sulphur springs from the villa which is another must do as well. The tour which is a combined cost of $30EC but transport is on top. We also did the Toraille waterfall which was beautiful yet cold so go to the one by Sugar Beach. Sugar Beach was another great day out. Pay $50US entry in to the resort and they credit this back to you to spend at the restaurant on the beach which was incredible. You can snorkel at the bottom on the Petit Piton for $10US. Take towels to sit on unless you want to pay $50US to hire a beach lounger for the day. There are free chairs the other side of the beach but slightly lesser unpleasant atmosphere with the local husslers hanging around you.
This is somewhere weâd love to come back and stay especially as the hospitality was great. The villa can also organise catering for an extra charge which we would have taken advantage of but spent so much time exploring and eating out.
10/10 location and accommodation.
The property was even better than pictured. Clean, lovely, comfortable. We didnât anticipate how unwalkable the area is due to mountains and narrow winding roads. However property manager arranged a driving service which was very attentive and responsive. The cost was slightly higher than car rental for the week, and much easier.

We loved the house inside and outside, spacious and nicely designed view of the Pitons is AMAZING!
There are two flights of stairs you have to climb to get to it and in oder coming out of the refrigerator I believe but besides that the views were amazing and I would definitely go back.
Very comfortable villa with stunning view of the pitons. Great location for access to good snorkeling, hiking, and other sights. Villa staff is friendly and helpful. The site above the town of Soufriere can occasionally be a little noisy, but the location and view more than make up for that slight annoyance. Would strongly recommend getting a rental car to be able to visit the sights and dining out. The owner recommended a local renter that worked very well.
We booked this place about a month before we came so we were not sure what to expect. Overall, the place turned out to be very comfortable for our family of four. Pros, the villa has three nice bedrooms, with plenty of beds for six. There are lots of screens and windows to maximize the airflow coming in. There is a small but nice pool, and the view of Soufrierre is great, we saw rainbows on many days.
Cons, For some reason some of the bedrooms dont get a lot of airflow but the fans helped with that issue. The kitchen is nice but if you plan to cook a lot at home you will need to bring your supplies. The driveway is steep and it's best to back up the last stretch so you dont have to back down the steep incline. Also, the sound from Soufrierre will carry up the mountain, and a few nights there was music well into the night. The new fans that Dave installed helped to mitigate the sound so it wasn't that bad.
The manager of the villa, Dave, was very responsive to the issues we had. He helped us arrange a rental car for a decent price. He had a bottle of rum waiting for us when we arrived and dropped off some delicious mangoes during the week. It took us a few days to get our rental car, so Greg drove us around to different places, and was a wonderful tour guide.
My husband, myself and our 3 1/2 year old twins rented the house for 5 nights. I don't want to say St Lucia is child unfriendly but there were houses and resorts that don't allow for children, so first off I would like to say that I was grateful to find a place that could accommodate our family in the location we wanted. We really desired to be in Soufriere because it was close to great snorkeling beaches such as Anse Mamin, Anse Chastanet, sugar beach, and freedom bay beach. The roads are extremely curvy and paved on grade so traveling 10 miles can take 40 to 50 minutes, therefore location was absolutely key for us because we had two young children traveling with us. We were close to everything that was important to our trip: great snorkeling, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, hikes/nature trail, spectacular views and the volcano mud bath. The views were amazing, the house all though basic was very utilitarian- it was great to have a functioning kitchen and an awesome deck/patio. And wait did I mention the views were incredible?!? True to its name we saw rainbows over the valley several times from the patio. We very much enjoyed our morning breakfast on the patio with the pitons as our backdrop. Dave the property manager was very nice, he checked in on us several times, and brought us 3 different types of mangoes. He helped us in finding a private boat to take us to some beaches that had the appropriate size life coats for the kids, which was actually the biggest hold up for us, as most the dive shops started their sizes for life coats for 8 years old and up.
My only complaint is that for 2 of the 5 nights we were at the rainbow villa their was very loud music that started around 10 pm and ended between 3-5 am. My husband and I think it was either coming from La Haut Hotel or The Beacon, both close proximity to the villa. My husband could fall asleep with some difficulty but I had to take 2 Tylenol PM to finally catch some sleep.
I did email the owner there were a few broken/missing screens in the spare bedrooms and the fan in the master bedroom only works on the low speed and there was a large hole in the mosquito net for the master bedroom . These are pretty key items as there is no AC, may just want to follow up to see if these items were fixed/repaired.
Ultimately I would stay here again but pack some ear plugs the next time!
Unbelievable views of Marigot Bay & gorgeous new construction villa w chef's kitchen!
Where to start! The photos online do not do this incredible home justice- so book it without delay . Master suite has large room & sweet master bath w bidet , shower & jacuzzi tub. 2 additional bed rooms on main level. Fabulous wrap around porch overlooking lap pool & bay . Bring binoculars to watch boat activity . 2 garage stalls- easy to park- own laundry , pack light. Maid service every 3-4 days & the kitchen/ living room is open concept w every possible amenity you could want. We were SO very happy with the house, the owners & staff at Chateau Mygo & can't wait to go back Truly . Thank you for a memorable Christmas vacation for the 6 of us!
