Deux maisons mitoyennes sur le mĂȘme terrain (Duplex). Ceci est la maison de ville derriĂšre la maison principale. Beau, ensoleillĂ©, beaux planchers de bois franc, salles de bains rĂ©novĂ©es, stationnement illimitĂ© dans la rue. La cuisine est Ă©quipĂ©e de tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour prĂ©parer un repas. Il a deux Ă©tages; Au premier Ă©tage, salle Ă  manger / salon / cuisine Ă  aire ouverte et salle de bain complĂšte. Au deuxiĂšme Ă©tage, deux chambres et salle de bain complĂšte. La porte de la cuisine descend seulement pour la lessive. La lessive est partagĂ©e. Balcon, patio avec table de pique-nique. partagĂ© avec d'autres clients. Jeux pour enfants, parc, bibliothĂšque, restaurants, shopping plaza autour du coin. L'ocĂ©an est bout de la rue, vous pouvez courir ou marcher Ă  l'ocĂ©an. Ligne T-rouge (Fields Corned Stop) Ă  4 min Ă  pied de la maison.

Great location, responsive host - we enjoyed our stay.

Very close to T-Station and many bus lines. Our family was able to stay safely near the city, close enough for daily exploring, with a 'home' like setting for relaxing at the end of the day.

Perfect location for a family or individuals visiting Boston

This apartment is great. Very clean,comfortable,and convenient to local transportation. Plenty of shops, grocery stores and eating establishments within a short walking distance. The owner and manager were very accessible and accommodating. Great value. Rent without hesitation.

Clean, cozy and convenient

The apartment was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was a very close walk to the transport. There were restaurants nearby and grocery as well. It was a very nice place to stay while visiting the Boston area. Hermina was very hospitable and kind.

The Traveling Marcys.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, with easy access to the T and I- 93. It was clean and had everything we needed- not luxurious but then we weren't looking for luxury. The wifi was slow during peak hours. One bedroom was pretty hot (like the weather in general) but Hermina was very responsive in providing a window fan. I especially liked having 2 levels of living space.

Hermina, the owner, was VERY kind to us. We had 7 people, we rented the smaller unit but the bigger unit was available, and she offered it to us for the same price! She also let us put our luggage in early (we landed at 9am, check in is 3) so we didn't have to carry it around, she also let us keep the luggage after checkout (11am) until 1:30pm (late flight out). 5 minute walk to subway, very quick and easy!

Loved it

My family of 4 loved our stay here. This was the best equipped place we’ve ever had! Everything to make you feel at home. Lovely yard and homey living area. Very clean home. Showers were amazing. Fully stocked kitchen. Restaurants nearby. Anh Hong restaurant two blocks away is the best Vietnamese food on the planet. Grocery store across the street and the subway is two blocks away. We loved our time here. Our host was so lovely! I wish we could have stowed her in our luggage and brought her home with us!

Convenient to red line subway

The neighborhood isn't great but my sister and I didn't feel threatened walking back to the apt at night. We liked that the subway station was a few blocks away and that we could go directly to Cambridge. It's 40 mins ride so we would be gone all day and come back only to sleep. Our hostess Hermina was very welcoming and prompt in her emails. The apt was clean but tired looking. It's good for those that just need a place to sleep.

Safe location in a working-class section of Dorchester ... very roomy location and helpful host

Our extended family stayed at this location for a wedding. Some of us came via the convenient T-line and I and my husband drove. Our young adult city-dwellers had absolutely no problem navigating the subway and the neighborhood... and they enjoyed greatly the chance to imbibe at a genuine Boston Irish bar in the neighborhood ...and our mixed-race group had no problem/issues/etc. As another commentator pointed out, the property backs to a police station. There is not going to be a safety issue here. It's city life. If you want posh accommodations with an in-house spa, you should go downtown and pay 3-4 times the price. This house is a great value and was a perfect fit for our group. It has cookware, towels, a stove and plenty of space for a nice sized group to congregate. I would return here. Yes, the wifi could still be better -- but hopefully this is a time-off for you too. Final bonus, the owner is responsive, helpful and very easily accessible.

Nice Time

This unit worked very well for our group of four adults and two teens. Some previous reviews have questioned the neighborhood, but we didn't have any problems. Dorchester is a working neighborhood and has been for decades. It is diverse, but we never felt that it wasn't safe. There is very little graffiti on anything and there are national chain businesses in the neighborhood that aren't in bad areas. The parking appears to be a little limited when we first arrived, but we never had a problem. The unit itself was very nice and spacious. There could have been more information about how things work in the house, but Hermina was always responsive and hopefully she will add that information. Nothing crazy, but there are a couple of notes about where the grocery store is (we would suggest the Star Market by JFK T stop if you have a car), but nothing about where to take the garbage out and other basic things. We figured everything out, but it would have been more smooth if a binder was left. The location was very easy walk to the T stop and overall I think we would stay here again.

Boston vacation

The house itself was exactly what we wanted. Very clean and well stocked. It’s located directly behind the police department. The area surrounding the house however isn’t the best. Seemed to be quite a bit of violence in the neighborhood. I wouldn’t suggest being out after dark. We took an Uber into Boston each day...costing around $30 a trip. That seemed quite reasonable. Traffic is fierce so having someone familiar with the area driving is a huge plus! Hermina was very nice to chat with. We didn’t get the chance to meet her. The other folks staying at the house were very nice as well. If the location was better we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Boston during graduation week is expensive and this was expensive for what we got. The bathroom towels were few and very small and thin. Same with the hand towels. No face cloths. No soap. The shower gel was not appealing. The toilet paper rolls were half down and no resupply was available Same with paper towels. Attending to these would greatly enhance the experience. Put in fresh large towels, face cloths, soap bars, paper towells, toilet paper, etc. Rooms were bright and airy. Vietnamese neighborhood. Not upscale but good ethnic food.

The house was nice and had everything we needed. It accommodated our family of 6 perfectly! The only thing that was a little uncomfortable was the neighborhood. A lot of sketchy people walking around and always drunks milling around no matter what time of day or night. Parking was very tough too. Owners are awesome to work with!! House is very nice. Police dept is next door to the house and subway is within walking distance. Very good area except late at night in front of McDonalds. On the subway - it is about 15-20 minutes to Fenway and Boston Commons. Grocery Store and Pizza place were both very close. Also Uber ride from airport was very reasonable!!

Great location, very comfortable and had everything we needed!

I have stayed at several VRBO's in the Boston area over the last 2 years. Hermina's place has been the absolute best. Very comfortable and private, with all the amenities we could have asked for. Only a few minutes from the "T" (subway) made it really convenient to come and go. Hermina is a wonderful host; she reached out to make sure we had everything we needed and was very responsive in all communications. I would highly recommend this property!

Convenient place for visiting Boston

We spent close to a week here. Hermina was a very helpful host. The place is very convenient to traveling into Boston on the train/subway. Close to a grocery store. Neighborhood interesting and safe. There are numerous people sharing the coin operated laundry, but at least we could do laundry. The kitchen not especially well equipped with basics like drinking glasses.

We keep the place clean and sanitised and hand sanitizer available for you. Clean, comfortable place. Eating and sopping places just around corner, ocean is not far, parking on the street is unlimited & free.
4 min to walk to T-red line (Field's Corner stop).
T-red line takes you direct to South Station, Downtown, MGH, MIT, Harvard square. From the airport is free if you take Silver line and change to T-red line in South Station to Fields corner.
It is vibrant, looks like part of New York, not the wealthy, historical, area, safe, convenient and nice host who tries to make you happy

The Neighborhood:
Dorchester is a historic neighborhood of over 6 square miles in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The town was founded by Puritans who emigrated from Dorchester, England in 1630.
The neighborhood is a mixed, safe, convenient. The community has shown many improvements over the past 20 years that I’ve lived here. There’s a Police station right behind my property, and Buddhist center in front of it. Everything you need is just around the corner: Public library, restaurants and shopping plaza, T-mobile store.
Nearby:
The ocean and Castle Island are a 5 min drive away. UMASS, JFK library and museums are a 5 min drive away, or free shuttle buses are accessible from the JFK T-stop.
Public transportation:
A 4 min walk to the Red line subway at Field’s Corner stop. The Red line is the most very convenient line in the Boston subway system, which connects Field’s Corner to the Airport, South Station, Downtown Crossing, MGH hospital, MIT, and Harvard sq. Free and easy access to my home from the Airport by public transportation.
The House:
My home is a duplex with two houses attached to each other on the same grounds. There’s the main Victorian house, built in 1848, and a Townhouse attached later addition to it.
