Magnifiquement décoré et rénové, chalet de plage en bord de mer avec tout le charme des jours passés, avec l'immense porche couvert équipé de grandes chaises berçantes, pour se détendre, visiter, lire et se réunir entre amis et en famille. Autre que le porche couvert, il y a une terrasse ouverte pour prendre le soleil.

Le chalet a été meublé avec de nouveaux meubles de style chalet qui rappellent les jours passés. Il y a trois chambres à l'étage ... la première est meublée d'un lit king-size ... la seconde avec un lit queen-size ... la troisième avec des lits jumeaux. Le rez-de-chaussée comprend une chambre avec lits simples, et en bas se trouve une suite séparée équipée d'un lit queen-size. Ce chalet se loue du samedi au samedi.

Le chalet est équipé d'une douche extérieure pour nettoyer le sable, ainsi que de deux douches dans la maison. Sur le porche couvert est une table de pique-nique où vous pouvez vous rassembler pour les repas, si vous le souhaitez, accompagnée par les merveilleuses brises de l'océan. À distance de marche est un quai de pêche ainsi que des restaurants et des divertissements. Laissez cette maison vous apporter tout le bonheur et le plaisir qu'elle a apporté à notre famille. Another great stay

This is our second time at this property and we had another terrific week. Consistent with our last stay and another already planned again this year. Wendy is terrific and very responsive. Easy access to a great beach and great space for gathering outside also on a large deck. All fun for a family beach vacation.

Atlantic Beach Vacation

Everything was wonderful. The only shortcoming was a lack of cooking utensils & pots/pans, especially of the non-stick variety. Other than that, the house was clean & comfortable, & we all 7 of us had a spectacular week staying there.

Perfect Family VRBO

There was plenty of beds and space for the 7 of us to spread out and unpack. The basement bedroom/bath was perfect for the teens to set up their gaming and stay up all hours (and therefore sleep in as well). The kitchen was well equipped and the Food Lion delivered very quickly.

Drafty, so A/C struggled on windy days

We had very strong winds all week, the house is drafty so the air conditioning could only take the edge off - set at 74, actual would be 80-84. Worse on sunny days. Also, there are not enough outside trash cans for a house this size. Most of the neighbors had twice as many cans. Ours was overflowing when we arrived and we quickly filled it back up after the trash trucks came by.

We love this house.

We've rented here several summers, gathering with our children and grandchildren, and it never fails to be a wonderful experience. The location is perfect. The setting is a delight. It's not fancy, but who needs fancy at the beach? All the essentials are there, including the sun rising over the dunes and the ocean a few yards away. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Family Reunion

FANTASTIC. This was by far the best family location we have ever had. Our family consists of 35 members. Four homes were rented. My family's home was the absolute best (slept 10). Loved the layout of the rooms and the location...right on the beach! The parking was great and accommodated all our cars. All the rooms were perfect and exceeded our expectations. We will be back!!!

Nice and comfortable oceanfront

We had 7 people for the week, with another couple dropping in for a few nights. Very comfortable set-up, with enough kitchen supplies. Great to have a washer and dryer. Lovely oceanfront porch. The linens that we rented were more than adequate. Bring your own beach chairs and canopy/umbrella.

Cute beach cottage by the sea

This property is perfect for a week at the beach. It is located close to the restaurants at the beach and is on a quiet street. The kitchen is very well equipped and made cooking easy. The only drawback was that there is only one full bath for the main two floors. (There is a half bath on the main level and a full bath in the lower level accessed by the outside.) It is a charming home where we spent most of our time rocking on the beach side porch. We would love to return again

great location - only 1 full bathroom?

we enjoyed our 2-week stay at this beach cottage. fantastic oceanfront location. Everything was very basic-B, as advertised and reviewed. The reason we cannot give this 5 stars is the number of bathrooms was unfairly misrepresented in the listing, and it was detrimental for the comfort and enjoyment of the group. There were only 1.5 bathrooms (i.e. only one shower). So if you are OK vacationing with four bedrooms, 2 toilets and just one shower, this is acceptable. everything else was great, we had a really wonderful trip

Getaway

We hosted our daughter, her husband and their two little girls for a week's vacation at the beach. The house is an old-style beach house, not fancy but absolutely perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The little girls are two and six and we never had to worry about them for a second--outside of closely monitoring them at the beach, of course. The dunes between the house and the beach are lovely. While the younger granddaughter won't remember this trip (hopefully, the next), the older girl will never forget it. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Down East Revisited

My wife, children and I traveled to Atlantic Beach and Down East for the first 15 years of our married life. Our trip in July of 2017 allowed to take our grown children, their spouses and three grandchildren back to Atlantic Beach after a 12+ year hiatus. The trip was made complete by our stay at Wendy Rose's vacation home. The house itself served us well (7 adults, 3 children under 6) and any shortcomings were offset by the great location. Easy access to the bridge on and off the island, groceries, and the Idle Hour Bier Garden. The back porch with 5 rocking chairs and a full sized picnic table provided a respit from the sun and a great place to relax in the evening.

Slice of Heaven!

This house was everything it said in its listing and more! The porch with the rocking chairs were amazing to start the day with a morning coffee and end the day with a night cap. The kitchen is fully stocked and has just about everything you need. The kitchen table was awesome for family meals and for playing games at night. We traveled with our grandchildren so the easy walk down to the beach in the morning and back up for lunch, it could not have been more perfect. We could walk to shops and restaurants from the house. The homeowners were super easy to work with, answering all of our questions timely. Will definitely look to rent this again in the future. Thank you

Great location, but missed a few marks

This Atlantic Beach cottage is charming: white picket fence and great back deck overlooking the dunes. We had 5 adults and two children here, which was just about the right amount of space. Any more, and I’d think it’d be a bit tight as there are only two showers, and the kitchen is not spacious enough to prep for a party. Overall house is pretty clean. Things to note if you’re staying here (or for property owner to change): No toilet paper, except what was left on rolls from previous renters. No paper towels No laundry soap or dryer sheets No trash bags No beach chairs No beach towels To me, these are small touches that make guests feel more at home, as most people are coming from out of town. (We flew From California and can’t bring beach chairs and towels!) If you’re looking for a basic, no frills place with a great view l, nice locations, and comfy beds, I’d recommend this place-but for the price, I’d wished the place was more well prepared for guests and more well cared for.

Wonderful Stay & Awesome Place For Families. Super responsive and helpful owner

We couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy our family vacation this year at Atlantic Beach. The house was a perfect fit for our requirements. It was so great to walk out of the house, over the beautiful dunes via a private path and right onto a great beach. The house is just as described. Roomy, clean, comfortable and cozy. Wendy, the owner was amazing to work with and she was super responsive and helpful to all our questions. Although we never met Wendy in person, we felt we got to know her through her great communication. All was in order when we arrived. We enjoyed having dinner on the deck with a nice picnic table provided, walking and hanging out on the beach at anytime. The water was great, the beaches unbelievable clean and not busy at all. Our kids absolutely loved the stay. Plenty to keep everyone busy. We had six in our family and everyone raved about the stay including the young adults in our family. There is an outdoor (not enclosed) shower for everyone to wash off sand from the beach, which was nice. Plenty of pots, pans and things like Keurig coffee machine, blender, toaster, etc. Appliances all worked (including the helpful dishwasher). Laundry was downstairs in a very neat and tidy basement. The home is air conditioned for the hot days/eves. The neighborhood was quite and we felt very safe for sure. Easy walk to the main Atlantic Beach if your looking to be at a beach with life guards for those that aren't great swimmers. The waves are great and the kids enjoyed surfing. Grocery stores close by. Good selection of restaurants in the area. Great aquarium close by and we also enjoyed taking the ferry out to Cape Lookout for swimming and collecting amazing shells. Well worth the trip. Also went to Beaufort one night for dinner and some shopping which was very enjoyable. Overall we would highly recommend Wendy and her lovely home on the beach. We tend to set the bar high when it comes to vacation units and this was by far a great experience for us. We will definitely be back in the future for sure. A big thanks again to Wendy for being such a great owner to work with.

Great beach front location

Nice property right on the ocean front. Everything was as listed/described just couldn't control the various lights with remotes other than that I would happily stay there again. My brothers and sister loved it also.

Nice Location and comfy.

This place was exactly as listed and all the reviews were on point. The additional bathroom and bedroom downstairs is nice for some. We were going to use it as a bedroom but as noted it was only accessible from the outside. So we felt a bit distant from the rest of the family and decided just to use it as a spare bathroom when needed. We decided to all stay in the house which was definitely comfy. There was enough room for the children to share the rooms with the twin beds and the adults took the other two rooms. The laundry room was nice and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had one hiccup which was immediately addressed by the owner so that’s why we didn’t give it a five star rating. But we also know somethings happen and we were happy with Wendy’s quick response. But as I stated it was exactly as listed so no real surprises. We had a great time.

Fun and Friendly Abode by the Sea :)

We had such a fun time at this adorable house conveniently located on the ocean. Nice solid rockers on the porch overlooking the Atlantic, kitchen with lots of tools (even a garlic press!)—we love cooking, so this was such a nice touch for us, and comfy beds. Wendy and Darlene were both awesome and helped us iron out minor details, like the ROKU TV and ceiling fans. A great time was had by all who stayed. We hope to book it again in the future.

Great stay!

Really smooth, uneventful stay—in short, it was perfect. Owner communicated everything perfectly and we found everything just as described. Older home with some odd light switch locations but not bad all in all... nice porch and, of course, the ocean right out the back door. Would stay here again! :)
