The spacious two bedroom apartment is in Playa Honda, near La Manga. It's just 50 metres from the beach, alongside the calm warm waters of the Mar Menor.

It's just a 35 minute ride from the new Murcia (Corvera) airport.

The apartment is on the 1st floor and has a lift. It has 2 good size bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, and a spacious living room/diner with satellite TV, DVD player and a mini hi-fi. The large terrace overlooks the pool and gardens.

The apartment has FREE high speed internet (225MB)

The apartment has recently had a nice makeover, with a new 32 inch flat screen TV, chaise lounge sofa, new beds, dining table and chairs, curtains and fixtures.

There's a large open-air swimming pool with a jacuzzi (open during the summer), and a heated indoor pool with sauna (open October/November - May). There's also a gymnasium, a safe kids play area and landscaped gardens with palm trees.

The apartment has both air-conditioning and heating. All linen and towels and all mod cons are supplied. You'll be greeted on arrival, and a local contact will always be on hand.

Golfing: This area is a haven for golf lovers........First of all there is the famous La Manga Club which is just 5 minutes away with it's 3 championship golf courses. There are other golf courses all within easy driving distance - Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, Altorreal and the new course La Finca.

The Beaches: The apartment is less than 50 metres from the Mar Menor beach. There are many beaches around this area, both along the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. Try Calblanque, it's part of a nature reserve, and is just a few minutes drive away (well worth a visit)..............There are beach cafe bars, plus you can hire pedelo's, wind surfs, speed boats etc........This area is a haven for all types of water sports and has many teaching centres too for scuba diving, sailing, wind-surfing, water skiing etc...... Diving clubs and schools exist both at Cabo de Palos and in La Manga.

The Local Area: The famous La Manga strip with an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops is just a 5 minute drive away.....Cabo De Palos is beautiful; It's just a few minutes away and has a nice selection of restaurants and cafe bars surrounding the marina. It has a great market on Sundays.....The tourist information centre is in Cabo De Palos. The very Spanish village of Los Belones is nice and just a few minutes away too......The historic city of Cartagena, with it's Roman ruins is just 15 minutes away. .....A car is recommended to allow you to sample the surrounding villages and area.

Séjour PLAYA HONDA

Séjour très agréable dans un appartement correspondant tout à fait au descriptif dans un beau complexe assez sécurisé. Il convient particulièrement en période creuse aux personnes qui aime le calme. Un petit commerce est situé à proximité, la plage sur la lagune est à 50 m, mais Il faut impérativement une voiture pour accéder aux plages sur la mer, aux supermarché et restaurants, notamment à ceux de Cabo de Palos. Pour les français si vous ne parlez pas espagnol ou anglais, un bon traducteur est indispensable. Seuls points faibles une connexion WIFI difficile et quelques manques en accessoires de cuisine (passoire, saladier, bol...) Je conseille cette location sans hésiter

Apartamento grande, buena ubicación. Playa amplia y tranquila

Es un apartamento grande. Quizás necesita un poco de orden en utensilios. Limpieza normal, para mi gusto necesitaría una limpieza a fondo. Los utensilios estaban un poco desordenados. La llegada muy bien. La playa cercana es muy tranquila, con aguas limpias y chiringuitos cercanos. Recomendable.

Good for a short break

Booking process was straight forward and unlike others you have the option of paying a deposit with the balance at a later date. We arrived at the airport and phoned Phil once we had sorted our hire car. He met us outside the very colourful apartment block. He took us in through the car park which is underground and showed us to our space. You have a key to get in and out of the carpark and the same for the lift. The apartment is on the first floor and you can only access the carpark via the lift. There are stairs that take you to the pool area or main exit which is also locked so quite secure for residents and guests. The apartment is a good size for four people. We were left a welcome pack with bread, milk and butter which was good. The kitchen has a washing machine which we used a couple of times, very easy to figure out the programmes. I liked the cupboard above the sink which was a drainer for the dishes. There are a selection of pots and pans which we used. One bedroom had twin beds and the other a double, which was comfortable. The bathroom had a ceramic bath which was a good size and a shower above. We purchased toilet rolls as only saw one but then found a pack in the bottom drawer of the vanity. Next people in won't need to buy any! The lounge diner was a good size and the television had a good 15 channels on the air setting that could be changed to English and 10 on cable but only really channel 4 and BBC1 were clear. This we believe from Phil was due to the high winds that greeted us at the start. There is a DVD player and a selection of films. We were out everyday exploring so it was only the evenings we wanted to watch something. My husband used the gym most days which has a fair bit of kit. It was a shame the indoor pool was out of action due to the boiler not working. The sun didn't make it to the outdoor pool area but I imagine in the summer it does get the sun. We walked in both directions on the beach which was pleasant and some lovely views. Lots of Pokémon if you are into that as well! Good communication from the owner Lee and Phil was available if required.

Nice stay but quiet in October

Overall an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Unfortunately the indoor pool was shut for repairs for the week and the WiFi was not working for three of the days. The location is beautiful and if the weather is good you can easily chill on a beach but on rainy days there is not much to do in October. Overall happy with the stay though.

El piso y la cercanía a la playa muy bien.Pero la limpieza tiene q mejorar mucho.Y el paquete de bienvenida que decían q tenían preparado para no salir corriendo al supermercado ..no llegó en ningún momento.El primer día tuve que limpiar el piso ,para poder disfrutar de las vacaciones.

Like home away

We had a wonderful vacation in this well equipped appartment at Playa Honda. We were very well received. We were picked up at bus station in Cartagena by Phil, and Ann took care of all information at the appartment. Very good information from the owner by email after our booking. I loved the balcony which was very well furnished and in comfortable shadow. We had more than enough sun at the lovely beach at the Mar Menor.

Lee Finan’s apartment was home from home a nice airy apartment , and a lovely well kept complex.

Lee Finan’s apartment was lovely to stay in I felt quite at home. A short walk across the road and your on the Mar Menor , I went over the winter time so it was very quiet with a few bars open , when you go you must go to Brambles bar Neil and Sheree are so lovely and will put themselves out for you. The red roof is also open all year round and Danny and Hosea are very friendly. If you turn left on beach and walk you come to the carava club where there is good food and entertainment and once again lovely people. Also the staff in Hondamar supermarket are very helpful and friendly. All the above are open at night Hondamar supermarket hours at night are 5.30 to 8.30 but the bars are open for food , Tuesdays Brambles closed in day but open from 6.30 . I’m telling you all this info as when I arrived with my daughter I was informed no where open . So we didn’t eat that first night , if I’d knoqn we would if had a lovely meal at Brambles. Staying in lees apartment fir four months was a joy.

Great value, good location and lovely flat

My husband and I stayed in the flat for one week and it has everything we needed. It is a good size (we were only two people but I think will still be perfectly comfortable for four) with all the necessary amenities and a beautiful balcony (which is in the shade but perfect for the summer). The location is brilliant for a relaxing holiday - great local bars/restaurants all within five minute walk, a nice local supermarket (not a wide selection but everything you need), beautiful pool on the complex and a stunning, quiet beach one minute from the flat. The complex is quite loud in the evening (although it is school holidays so this might be only in the summer) but is silent from midnight because the complex has a strict rule of silence from midnight to 8am so no problem at all. Lee was very helpful in the run up and everything went smoothly with check in and check out. For the price, this is a fabulous flat and location (even the food and booze is really cheap).

Verdemar III a honest review

The apartment was just as it was shown in the photos and we spent the majority of our time on the patio and the extremely comfortable garden furniture. The apartment does not get any sun throughout the day and in the height of summer when the temperature was hitting a regular 33 it was lovely to have a bit of shade to return to. Open the back door and the patio doors and this creates a lovely through breeze. If you are looking for a typical Spanish holiday way of life then this is the place to holiday. The majority of people are locals and typically speak Spanish, if you are looking for shops, entertainment and English pubs/restaurants, then you need to look else where. The days were lazy and we soon adapted to the Spanish way of life, late breakfast, lunch, siesta and evening meal. Please expect there to be noise from the locals as they do not tend to eat until 10 - 11pm and then stay up until at least 1am. Unfortunately, the apartment is not double glazed and is also above the door to block that the apartment is in. If you are looking for more action and liveliness then take a visit to La Manga which is just a 10 minute drive away and gives the option of the Med and plenty more shops and restaurants. Parking is free all the way along the strip. The beach is good and busier than the one by the apartment. There is a Sunday market in Cabo de Palos which is a 5 minute drive and is located opposite the Euro Spa Supermarket/Repsol Petrol station, please be aware that pickpockets operate in the market. Another experience was the trip to San Pedro del Pinata and the mud baths. This is a 30-35 minute drive aware heading towards Alicante and is free. Park where you can following signs for the local hotels and then walk in the direction you were driving. At the end of this road there is a lagoon on the left where you walk in to and scoop up mud from the bottom and smear it all over yourself, let it dry for as long as you like and then wash it off. On the opposite side of the walkway is the beach, You will need to take a bucket of some sort to scoop up the mud, although we did manage to do it without one. The beach bar Zankarra serves lovely food although if you want the bill it's probably best to ask when you order as they do tend to forget at times. Finally the beach at the apartment is amazing, it is technically a lagoon and is no deeper than 3ft at any given point and is like walking and swimming in a warm bath.

The property looked lovely but it was cold and doesn't get the sun in January and February.

It was really cold in the apartment and didn't have a duvet or enough blankets. So we then had to buy some to try and stay warm. Also the electric kept tripping every time I cooked even when I turned off the heaters that we had to buy to try and stay warm. Even when it was warm outside the wind came straight through the gaps. I was very disappointed that I had asked upfront if it got the sun and was told yes but in January and February it doesn't get any sun. Shame as the furniture on the balcony was very nice but we never got to use it. We also had to buy utensils for cooking as I didn't feel it had the essentials. Luckily enough we then managed to book another apartment which did get the sun and the wind didn't hit it in the same way. So although we still had days where it rained and was cold outside we were warm inside it also had duvets and blankets. We never received any refund on lees apartment even though we had complained.

Great place to stay

Apartment was immaculately clean and tidy. Situation is ideal as the caravan club restaurant is a short walk away, as is the supermarket and bars in the opposite direction. At the caravan club you can get a good quality meal or a selection of tasty tapas to eat in the sun. The balcony is more like an outside room and the biggest I have seen. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice apartment out of the sun. .

The app. is just as shown on the pictures: nice, practical, clean. The sea view is unfortunately blocked by a big building just in front of it, and the sun never hits the balcony or apartment or even the pool area (November) because the whole complex is so huge (9 storeys with hundreds of appartments). If you don't need the sun the apartment is good value for the money. Communication with owner and his representatives in Honda was excellent. F. Norby Denmark

What a fantastic apartment in a lovely part of La Manga...so from the start of booking apartment Lee was great , answered all our questions & gave us all the information we needed & always got back to us straight away .So Playa Honda is a lovely area & complex was great just as described. The apartment was perfect & again as described , Balcony was lovely & big , we had English channels, a lovely comfortable couch & nice dinning table.There was plenty of dishes, cutlery ect , washing machine which was easy to use & on arrive the was milk , bread , coffee, tea bags , butter & a big bottle of water for us which was a nice touch after driving from Alicante airport . Also brilliant havin underground parking & lift straight outside apartment door ( if ya do a big shop ) There's a local supermarket 5 mins away but also a Mercadona, Aldi & Spar in Cabo De Palos which is 5 minutes drive away & the beaches there are to die for absolutely beautiful. There's a fab beach bar on Mar Menor staff was great . Myself and my Husband had an amazing 11 night's there & would highly recommend Lee's apartment & we are looking forward to returning in the future Thank you Lee

El apartamento genial, no le faltaba de nada

La estancia en el apartamento de Lee ha sido estupenda, todo estaba limpio y ordenado. Hemos pasado casi una semana con dos niños pequeños y se lo han pasado muy bien con el espacio que tenían para jugar, sobre todo en la terraza. La playa estaba al cruzar una calle pero al ser el Mar Menor estaba el agua un poco sucia y había piedrecitas al entrar en el agua por eso decidimos ir a La Manga que eran 5 minutos en coche y allí la playa maravillosa con su agua clarita y su arena fina. Y al ser junio no había mucha gente lo que mejoraba todo más. Hay un supermercado a cinco minutos andando que allí tienes lo indispensable pero si quieres coger el coche a cinco minutos tienes Mercadona, Lidl, Aldi. En la cocina ibas a buscar cualquier cosa y la encontrabas, como bayetas, especias, utensilios de cocina, en fin una estancia ideal. Por ponerle algún inconveniente es la poca comunicación con el propietario, tardaba bastante en responder pero bien al final. Un sitio totalmente recomendable para las familias con niños.

Great apartment

Fantastic little apartment, ideal for the four of us, with a lovely outside seating area. The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival and well stocked with the essentials. We really enjoyed our time at Playa Honda. We found it a bit tricky to get there,but the information supplied to us by Lee was really good. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Everything you needed was supplied. (except bathing hats) which were needed for the pools. However these were easy to obtain. The area was quiet,due to the time of year. But we found some lovely places to eat and drink nearby. We will be returning in October all being well

Lovely and clean & comfy beds

Lovely clean apartment with the most comfortable beds ever . Great location , 2 min walk and you're on the beach .
