Villa Symeon is located in the centre of the traditional mountain village of Kazaviti, whose location on the slope of a wide green valley, 300m above sea level, offers an overwhelming view of the mountains and the sea.
Although the villa was built on the foundations of an old house and adapted to the traditional style of construction, its furnishings are in keeping with European standards.
With a living space of 105 square metres spread over two floors, it is spacious and comfortable. Underfloor heating makes it habitable even in the cooler months of the year. On the first floor, with entrance via a terrace in front, guests can expect three cosy bedrooms, each with a double bed, wardrobes and air conditioning. A large, modern bathroom with separate shower, WC and washbasin with vanity unit can be reached from all bedrooms via a corridor.
The centrepiece of the villa is located on the second floor: a large living room with a fireplace, a round dining table for 6 people, armchairs and a pull-out sofa bed. A passageway with a large cupboard for the house's laundry leads to the open-plan, generously equipped kitchen, which leaves nothing to be desired.
Both rooms opposite each other have access to a spacious, covered loggia, which is furnished with a table and wicker chairs, making it very pleasant to spend time outdoors. You can also admire the evening sunsets from here. With access from the kitchen, a second shower room with WC has been installed, which has proved its worth when the villa is heavily occupied.
Above the house is a terraced garden with fruit trees and a vine arbour. This is a great place for adults to relax and for children to play. A garage on the ground floor and a purpose-built laundry room complete the property.
For most guests, Villa Symeon has the charm of a family home to which they like to return because they can spend their holidays there with their family in complete privacy.
The villa is perched above the village square, which is shaded by huge, centuries-old plane trees. Here there is a popular restaurant with excellent cuisine and a café where you can enjoy and relax right on the doorstep without having to travel far afterwards.
The village of Kazaviti is one of the four settlements in the Prinos area of Thassos.
The extensive beaches are located within a radius of 6 to 10 kilometres from the village. The lush green and unspoilt landscape offers nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts a wide range of activities and recreation. The road to the village leads through olive groves and wooded areas and is well maintained.
The island of Thassos, the green jewel of the Aegean, with a history dating back to antiquity and rich archaeological finds, still attracts visitors from all over the world. The island can be reached from the mainland by car ferry from Kavala or the harbour of Keramoti. The use of a hire car is recommended in order to be able to explore the beauty of the island flexibly.
