Welcome to our holiday flat in the Engi house, which is over 300 years old. The flat is only 100 metres from the cable cars, the post bus stop and the nearest restaurant. The location is sunny, quiet, family-friendly and with a beautiful view of the mountains. The flat has been left largely original, except for the kitchen, which was renovated in 2019. As in the old days, heating is provided exclusively by the guests themselves using the old, well-functioning wood-burning stove. Firewood is available in the wood room in the basement. In the winter months, basic knowledge of firing with wood and handling a wood-burning stove is an advantage.

Flat description:
Patio with fountain in front of the house.
Ground floor: Stairs in front of the house lead to the outside door to the arbour (unheated) for skis, sledges, prams etc. Second entrance door leads to the kitchen and to the fire door of the wood-burning stove, separate WC, parlour with stove, bedroom no. 1 with two beds.
Upper floor: Bedroom no. 2 with three beds and two raised sleeping areas, which can be reached via a ladder, ideal for children aged 8 and over. Bedroom no. 3 with two beds and a cot, bathroom with shower/WC. A total of 7 single beds and 3 beds for children.
The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and crockery. A high chair (Tripp Trapp) is available free of charge if required. Children's books about "Zwerg Muggenstutz" are available in the flat.

Car park:
A car park for 2 to a maximum of 3 cars is available free of charge.

From 16.00 hrs / Until 10.00 hrs

Please bring your own:
Towel, tea towel, bath towel.
If you are travelling by public transport and there is no room for your bath towel in your suitcase, please let us know. We will certainly find a solution.

Location:
The Hasliberg lies on a south-facing slope at 1050 metres above sea level, approx. 450 metres above the valley floor of Meiringen. Together with the Grimsel and Susten Alpine passes, it belongs to the easternmost part of the Bernese Oberland. Meiringen can be reached in 7 minutes by cable car or in 25 minutes / 16 km by car via Brünig.

Surroundings & activities:
- Mountain railways with ski area (winter) and adventure hiking trails Muggestutz, ball track trail (summer), post bus towards Brünig, playground with trampoline and ball track at Hotel Reuti (summer), restaurant, hotels, après-ski bar (winter), all within a radius of 100 metres.
- Reuti village shop with groceries and household articles, 250 metres.
- Rufenen children's playground (renovated in 2023), 400 m.
- Swimming lake with the most beautiful panorama, Hasliberg Twing 2.5 km.

- Of course, you can also set up the deckchairs and enjoy the atmosphere in front of the old house with a glass of wine and a good book. However, this offer cannot be found at haslital. swiss.

General knowledge:
- The Haslital, like many other valleys on the Alpine ridge, is located in a foehn region. On a few days a year, the wind can become very strong. Experiencing this is an impressive natural spectacle, but it can also lead to restrictions on the mountain railways. On days with strong winds, the forest should be avoided due to falling branches and outdoor fires are prohibited due to the risk of fire.
- The Meiringen military airfield is located in Unterbach, 7 km from Hasliberg Reuti. Depending on the wind and weather conditions, the jets take off in the direction of Brienz or Meiringen. The military jets can be loud during take-off, but the noise is short-lived and most of the time it is quiet in the Haslital. The tourism organisations have also reached an agreement with the airfield that there will be no aircraft movements from Meiringen during the main holiday season.
- When there is high pressure in the cold season, the fog from the lowlands often only extends as far as the Brünig Pass and Lake Brienz. The Haslital and the mountains then enjoy beautiful skiing weather.

Sehr schön, das Objekt ist absolut in Ordnung, ruhig (bis auf die selbst erzeugten Geräusche - Holzhaus), die Betreuung funktioniert vor Ort reibungslos, und der Weg zur Seilbahn ist minimal.

Guter Ausgangsort für badetage und andere Ausflüge

Wir waren an verschiedenen seen, haben den Wanderweg mit der kugelbahn gemacht und auch sonst schöne Dinge unternommen, zum Teil zu Fuß von der Unterkunft aus, zum Teil mit dem Auto. Sehr schöner abwechslungsreicher Urlaub!

This is an older apartment with lots of room. The manager speaks English and is very personable. There is a very nice modern bathroom upstairs with a commode downstairs. There is no TV but does have WI-FI. We loved it.

Preisleistungsverhältnis entspricht nicht den Vorgaben

Beschreibung und Mitteilungen entsprechen dem tatsächlichen Zustand in der Hinsicht, dass man sich im ältesten Gebäude des Ortes befindet. Einrichtungsgegenstände und Möbilar entsprechen keinewegs nur geringen Ansprüchen. Die Besitzerin wohnt in einer anderen Gegend, kümmert sich fast garnicht um das Anwesen, sondern möchte nur" Kasse machen"! Modernisierung Fehlanzeige. Die Verwalterin gibt sich sehr viel Mühe, aber in Sachen Sauberkeit sind einige Mängel angebracht. Eine Weiterempfehlung können wir nicht befürworten.
