Detached house with heated pool on 3000m2 of enclosed grounds. This beautifully located house is in the heart of Burgundy. If you are looking for peace and quiet during your holiday, this is the ideal place! You have a private heated swimming pool with sun beds, where you can relax. The garden is completely enclosed by a beautiful hedge, ensuring privacy and safety for playing children. You can enjoy the sun and the surroundings without worrying about losing sight of the children.

The entire garden is fenced, so children and pets stay on the property. There is a veranda with 2 rocking chairs, a terrace with BBQ, dining table with 6 chairs and a covered terrace with lounge sofa and another dining table with 6 chairs. There is also a sunbathing area by the pool and a poolside terrace with loungers. On the terrace is a barbecue which you can use. Many guests choose to have their evening meal on the terrace with the setting sun slowly disappearing behind the forest in the background. Furthermore, from the terrace you have a view of the heated swimming pool with its spacious sunbeds. For cooler days, there is a covered terrace with dining table and lounge sofa. Children who want to take another dip can do so quietly, while you keep an eye on them while enjoying a drink and a snack. On the other side of the house, the French doors open onto the veranda, from where you have a view of the gigantic garden (3000 m2).

Your holiday home has a cosy living room with a dining area, fireplace and cosy seating area. In the sitting area, you have access to a television with satellite, so you can watch Dutch channels if you wish. The living room has French doors on both sides. On one side, these doors open out onto the beautiful terrace. Your accommodation also has a luxury kitchen with oven, microwave, gas hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

The house is located in Bois de Thury, one kilometre outside the village of Thury, where there is a neighbourhood supermarket and a bakery where you can order delicious bread. For major shopping there is St Sauveur or Toucy, 8 and 20 km away. Your holiday home is only 1.5 hours' drive from Paris and a stone's throw from the historic towns of Saint-Sauveur and Saint-Fargeau. The cities of Auxerre and Vezelay are just half an hour's drive from your accommodation. Here you can fully enjoy the charming shopping streets, local markets, the many terraces and of course the French brasseries, where you can go for a snack and a drink. The city of Auxerre has a lively city centre with a rich history. You can see this history in the many old churches and buildings. However, if you want to enjoy the beautiful nature and tranquillity, we recommend a visit to France's nature park, the Morvan. The Yonne region, through which the river Yonne flows, is perfect for hiking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, boating and horse riding. A visit to the vineyards of Sancerre, Chablis or Irancy is also worthwhile. In the evening, you can enjoy your newly bought wine on the terrace of your holiday home. Of course, these wines go well with a Burgundian meal. Both the ingredients for this meal and a variety of French cheeses are for sale in abundance at the local markets. In combination with the pleasant temperature, it is inevitable that you will feel like God in France.
