Golf courses: 10 minutes away is the 18-hole course of the Deggendorf Golf Club on the plateau of the Rusel Pass at an altitude of 840 metres. A driving range and a 3-hole practice course are available. In the season from April to November, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the terrace of the clubhouse after your game. The Oberzwieselau golf course is located in a hilly park landscape about 20 kilometres away. The clubhouse with its terrace forms the centre of an 18-hole championship course harmoniously embedded in the landscape. Bavarian Forest National Park: The Bavarian Forest National Park is only 25 kilometres away. It was opened in 1970 as the first national park in Germany and protects a unique forest and low mountain range landscape on the border with the Czech Republic. Expanded in 1997, the national park now covers an area of over 24,000 hectares. Almost the entire area of the national park is covered by extensive forests, which today are uniquely left to develop largely uninfluenced by man. The action of natural environmental forces and the undisturbed dynamics of the biotic communities are guaranteed. In the national park you can experience unspoilt nature in an impressive way.
